An analysis of the place-phenomenon called The Place from the point of view of cultural, technological and organisational performance as understood by McKenzie, and noting that this phenomenon was a reflection and unintentional simulation of our aspirations in the physical (non-virtual) world. Passing through the cycle of life: birth, growth and death, it remains a digital record symbolising power, war, creation and destruction.

Tytuł:: Public managers perception of performance information : the evidence from Polish local governments

Opis:: Performance management requires wise utilization of performance information to generate expected results. The framework of Performance Information Utilization (PIU) explains why and how performance information is used in the public sector, although it does so without recognizing the role of the information user’s perception. This article adapts the information system theories to conceptualize perception of performance information (PPI). Statistical analysis confirmed the validity of the construct and showed a significant relationship between quality and usefulness of performance information, and usefulness of multiple performance information systems. Tested model offers new insights in explaining the use of performance information in local governments.

Opis:: Performance contagion is an environmental influential factor that leads to change in the performance of a person who is susceptible to contagion. For the purpose of constructing a conceptual model of employees’ susceptibility to job performance contagion, a general scale for testing the amount of the individual’s susceptibility to performance contagion was developed in the present study. This scale was used in developing a questionnaire. Then the questionnaire was distributed to the 187 non-teaching staff of the Science and Research branch of Islamic Azad University and its validity, reliability, constructrelated evidence and contentrelated evidence were studied.

Opis:: This paper aims at examining the role of job autonomy in organizations and its relation with employee performance. This will be achieved by providing a critical review of the subject matter in existing management literature. In recent years, the concept of job autonomy has gained an increasing importance in practice of Human Resource Management. Even some studies claimed that job autonomy directly affects job performance and some of its indicators including job satisfaction, motivation, job engagement and job commitment. As a result, current paper aims at studying the effect of job autonomy on employee performance by critically reviewing existing work of human resource scholars. Main research questions approached by authors include: Is there any meaningful relationship between job autonomy and employee’s job performance distinguished in existing literature? If yes, what impact can be expected from job autonomy on employee’s job performance?

Rozwija się performance studies w nowy paradygmat nauki, nie tylko o kulturze i nie tylko w sztuce, ale całości aktywności człowieka w świecie, co znajduje wyraz w badaniach Eriki Fischer-Lichte która opisała „zwrot performatywny.” W ten sposób poprzez performance sztuka wraca do człowieka, do nowoczesnego humanizmu.
The article refers to earlier, pioneering research on performance in Poland in the late Seventies. Recent research and written art criticism, such as the texts of Łukasz Guzek cited here, prove that performance art is changing, developing, and is a living phenomenon of contemporary art. Young artists take on the challenge of live action, and change performance forms (in relation to those of the Seventies). Performance studies develops into a new paradigm of science, not only about culture and not only in art, but about the whole of human activity in the world, which is reflected in the research of Erika Fischer-Lichte, who described the 'performative turn.' In this way, through performance, art returns to man, to modern humanism.

Tytuł:: Walk, listen, experience! The walk as the artistic exploring urban space

Opis:: The thesis analyses the character of performances, which originate from the walking performances called by the author “artistic walks”. The author defines the participant of that kind of performances as “the walker”.In the first chapter the author justifies the choice of the methodology used in the thesis: autoethnography and the model of researching the (syn)esthetic experience of the walker. The next chapter is dedicated to the history of International Situationist, which according to the author, is the beginning of the walking performances’ genre. In this part of the thesis there are also described the tools used by the situationists for creative construction of the urban space. Three further parts of the thesis are the case studies, dedicated to the different examples of the artistic walks. First of them are audio-walks "Nothing New or True" by Anka Herbut and "Uphill" by Łukasz Wojtysko and Maciek Chorąży, both produced during the Krakow Theatrical Reminiscences festival in 2013.Another example is game-walk, "The Short Cut. Krakau Files" (2003) directed by Stefan Kaegi. The last type of the artistic walks is blind walk described on the examples of the project by Dominika Śniegocka titled "SPACER .miastomowa." ("THE WALK .citytalk.") and "Do You See What I Mean?" by the collective Projet in Situ.
Praca analizuje rodzaj spektakli wywodzących się z nurtu "walking performances" nazwanych przez autorkę spacerami artystycznymi. Uczestnika takiego doświadczenia autorka określa mianem spacerowicza.W pierwszym rozdziale autorka wyjaśnia wybór metodologii, wykorzystanej w pracy: autoetnografię oraz model badania (syn)estetycznego doświadczenia spacerowicza.Kolejny rozdział poświęcony jest historii Międzynarodówki Sytuacjonistycznej, która według autorki jest początkiem nurtu walking performances. W tej części pracy opisywane są również narzędzia wykorzystywane przez sytuacjonistów do kreatywnego konstruowania przestrzeni miejskiej.Kolejne trzy części pracy to kolejne studia przypadków, poświęcone różne przykłady spacerów artystycznych. Pierwszy z nich to audio-spacery "Dawno temu i nieprawda" Anki Herbut oraz "Pod górkę" Łukasza Wojtysko i Maćka Chorążego wyprodukowane w 2013 roku w ramach projektu Artistic City Trips zrealizowanego podczas festiwalu Krakowskie Reminiscencje Teatralne. Kolejnym przykładem jest spacer-gra "Skrót, czyli Krakau Files" (2003) w reżyserii Stefana Kaegiego. Opis:: The research aims to determine the effect of green maintenance “energy efficiency, health and safety risks, and environmental compatibility“ on environmental performance “environmental condition, operational performance, and management performance“ as analytical research in oil products distribution company by distributing a questionnaire distributed to 46 people. The research problem lies in the weak use of traditional maintenance technology, which negatively affects the environment. The research found that the research company’s reliance on green maintenance is weak in adopting new mechanisms and technologies to enhance environmental performance and the weakness of the efforts exerted by management in the field of environmental performance and the failure to involve its staff in training programs to create a culture of preserving the environment within the culture of the organization. The research recommends the need to use machines with low energy consumption and reduce the volume of pollution.

Opis:: Celem pracy jest zapoznanie czytelnika z sytuacją sztuki performance na Ukrainie. Poprzez ukazanie sylwetek młodych ukraińskich performerów w kontekście rozwijającego się od 2008 roku Festiwalu Dni Sztuki Performance na Ukrainie. Kluczowym dla tego gatunku sztuki miejscem jest Lwów. To właśnie tam corocznie można obserwować proces zakorzeniania się sztuki performance w świadomości społeczeństwa i artystów. Odbywające się na przełomie sierpnia i września uliczne performance, dyskusje i spotkania z międzynarodowym środowiskiem performerskim – są wizytówką Festiwalu. Właśnie to wydarzenie pozwala na edukację i rozpowszechnianie się tego gatunku sztuki na Ukrainie. Podstawą badawczą są nagrania pokazów performerskich wykonywanych przez młodych twórców, katalogi wydawane do Festiwalu oraz oficjalne strony internetowe artystów, galerii i muzeów. Dodatkowo wykorzystuję literaturę światową w celu objaśnienia definicji performance. Rezultatem pracy są biogramy młodych artystów oraz interpretacja i opis ich performerskich prac. Podłożem dla tego opisu jest charakterystyka festiwalu oraz działającej przy nim jedynej na Ukrainie Szkoły Performance. Praca ta jest również jedynym jak dotąd zbiorem ujmującym w całość specyfikę sztuki performance na Ukrainie. Zebrane informacje pozwalają na dalsze badania nad tym gatunkiem sztuki w kontekście ukraińskim.
The goal of this paper is familiarizing the reader with the state of performance art in modern-day Ukraine. This is done by presenting the profiles of young Ukrainian performers within the context of the Days of Performance Art festival which has been taking place in Lviv since its inception in 2008. Every year at this event in Lviv one is able to observe performance art becoming more deeply ingrained in the awareness and culture of the general Ukrainian public and among its artists. The main features of the festival, taking place in August through September, are street performances, discussions and meetings of and with members of the international performance art community. It is this festival that bolsters education about and the popularity of this kind of art in the Ukraine. The bases for the research of this topic are audiovisual recordings of the works performed by the young artists, catalogues and informational material created for the purposes of the festival as well as the official web pages of museums, galleries and of the artists themselves. International literature on the topic of performance has also been made use of for the purpose of elucidating the definition of performance as an art form. The result of this paper is a comprehensive biographical index of young performers involved in the Ukrainian performing arts scene along with descriptions and interpretations of their various works. The foundation for the descriptions of these artists and their work is a detailed profile of the festival along with its cooperant, the only school of this kind of art in Ukraine; The School of Performance. This paper is the only index encompassing in full the specifics of performance art in the Ukraine up until this point. The collected information will allow for further investigation into this type of art in a Ukrainian context.
