Opis:: The analyses presented in the article suggest that contemporary column writing can be divided into the basic mainstream and modernizing sub-currents. The mainstream is flexibly inscribed into the tradition of press publishing, and characterized by recentness of problems discussed (although historical ones are not avoided), importance of themes, defense of values accepted as primary in our cultural area, and convincing persuasion, based on argument and logical support for opinions, reference to authority, inative and suggestive quality. Modernizing sub-currents, on the other hand, should be perceived as experimental activity, authored subjectively, polyphonic, exposing and satirical, provocative and appealing to readers in the consctruction of a common world view, based on common interests, and community of ethical principles, language, and laughter (interestingly, these parameters do not have to co-occur). The phenomenon of mixing all currents in a text seems to be the most typical quality of contemporary column writing. The functioning of media content with a given dominant introduces a modernizing stir into this order. The article presents a more careful analysis of several examples of these tendencies.

Opis:: The calculation of column’s height plays an important role in packed columns precise design. This research is based on experimentally measurement of mass transfer coefficients in different heights of packed column to predict its height. The objective of presented work is to introduce a novel conceptual method to predict column height via new correlation for mass transfer coefficient. As the mass transfer coefficient is decreased with increase of column height, the HTU’s are not constant figures along the column so this new approach is called increasing HTU’s. The results of the proposed idea were compared with other correlations and the conventional method i.e. constant HTU’s. Since the results are in very good agreement with experimental data comparing to conventional method, it seems this approach can be a turning point in design of all differential columns like packed columns. Making use of this method is suggested for design of differential columns.

Opis:: Rectifier columns are considered to be a critical component in petroleum refineries and petrochemical processing installations as they are able to affect the overall performance of these facilities. It is deemed necessary to monitor the operational conditions of such vessels to optimize processes and prevent anomalies which could pose undesired consequences on product quality that might lead to huge financial losses. A rectifier column was subjected to gamma scanning using a 10-mCi Co-60 source and a 2-inch-long detector in tandem. Several scans were performed to gather information on the operating conditions of the column under different sets of operating parameters. The scan profiles revealed unexpected decreases in the radiation intensity at vapour levels between trays 2 and 3, and between trays 4 and 5. Flooding also occurred during several scans which could be attributed to parametric settings.

Opis:: Spinal column injuries are an essential medical problem, as often accompaniedby spinal cord injuries and in consequences followed by human organism dysfunctions.The major progress in the field of traumatology and orthopedic surgery is being driven byspinal column injuries. This development is related to various methods of spinal columnanastomosis and types of implants used for this purposes. Continuous development ofmedicine requires from the surgical nurse to possess a knowledge of the surgicaltechniques, applied instruments and implants. The surgical nurse should regularly upgradetheir skills, participate in the specialized courses, possess an appropriate knowledge andskills to provide service at the top level.This final thesis is to present responsibilities and role led by the surgical nursein the subsequent stages of spinal anastomosis surgery of thoracic – lumbar and lumbarspinal column with the use of various instrumenterium and Flamenco implants based onthe wide range of literature and own professional expirience.
Urazy kręgosłupa stanowią istotny problem leczniczy, ze względu na częstotowarzyszące im uszkodzenia rdzenia kręgowego oraz następstwa tych uszkodzeńw funkcjonowaniu organizmu człowieka. Ogromny postęp w dziedzinie chirurgii urazoweji ortopedycznej jest powodowany istotą tego problemu. Rozwój ten dotyczy sposobówzespolenia złamanego kręgosłupa oraz rodzaju implantów wykorzystywanych dozespolenia uszkodzonego odcinka kręgosłupa. Nieustanny rozwój medycyny wymaga odpielęgniarki operacyjnej znajomości technik operacyjnych, używanego instrumentarium,a także stosowanych implantów. Pielęgniarka operacyjna powinna systematyczniepodnosić swoje kwalifikacje, uczestniczyć w kursach doszkalających, posiadać wiedzęi umiejętności pozwalające na wykonywanie zawodu na najwyższym poziomie.Na podstawie kwerendy literatury oraz własnych doświadczeń w pracyzawodowej w poniższej pracy została przedstawiona rola i zakres obowiązków pielęgniarkioperacyjnej w kolejnych etapach zabiegu operacyjnego zespolenia kręgosłupa odcinkapiersiowo – lędźwiowego i lędźwiowego z wykorzystaniem instrumentarium i implantówFlamenco.

Opis:: The aim of this paper is to verify the capacities and limitations of the newspaper column (understood as a genre) as a tool for creating the image of its author. In the paper, the distinguishing features of a column are first presented, and then a hypothesis is proposed for predicting which attributes of its author may be generated by the column’s features. This hypothesis is juxtaposed with the results of empirical research. The main task of this research was to read the texts of one of two Polish columnists – Krzysztof Varga and Szymon Hołownia – and subsequently answer questions indicating the authors’ attributes. This procedure made it possible to recreate the image of the text’s author. The results demonstrated the influence of the column’s distinguishing features on the image of its author inferred by readers.

Pierwszy przedstawia wpływ rodziny oraz czeskiej inteligencji na kształtowanie się osobowości pisarza. W rozdziale drugim zostaje ukazane zainteresowanie literata filozofią pragmatyzmu, która odegrała znaczącą rolę w formowaniu się światopoglądu Čapka. Rozdział trzeci, teoretyczny, opisuje felieton jako gatunek, uwzględniając jego etymologię i cechy szczególne.Rozdział czwarty charakteryzuje rozwój czeskiego felietonu i jego głównych przedstawicieli. Ostatni rozdział jest analizą felietonów podróżniczych pisarza, uwzględniając zawarty w nich motyw przestrzeni oraz wpływ percepcji pisarza na kształtowanie się typu osobowości( spacerowicz, włóczęga, turysta).

Opis:: The results of numerical simulations presented in this paper are concerned with instability of a three member slender system subjected to Euler load. The investigated column is built up as a flat frame composed of three rods. In the internal one, the defect is present in form of a crack. The boundary problem has been formulated on the basis of a static criterion of instability. The boundary conditions associated with different types of supports are obtained by proper selection of parameters of the generalized load. On the basis of these results, the magnitude of bifurcation load can be determined.
