Opis:
The term “knowledge” is presented with special focus on its environmental aspect. Actions aimed at building environmental knowledge as one of the primary factors influencing a sustainable development of enterprises are characterised. Understanding the phenomenon of environmental education and implementation of its principles in the cultural life of our contemporary is an urgent problem of today. The integrity of the natural environment for human existence, and the acquisition of skills necessary for an individual in the contemporary society depend on the level of environmental upbringing and environmental education of people, and the younger generation, in particular. Environmental education aims to help people understand the causes of environmental changes and to propose the ways to prevent them. The article highlights the aims, subject matter & peculiarities of environmental education, its influence on the formation of environmental consciousness of the younger generation in Ukraine. Environmental knowledge is regarded as a prerequisite for the development of environmental consciousness, and their successful acquisition forms environmental outlook.

Research background: Even though antecedents of green consumption have already been considered in numerous scientific articles, their findings still remain inconsistent. Furthermore, far less attention has been paid to understanding the underlying mechanism of cultural values, including collectivism and long-term orientation, and perceived environmental knowledge influencing intention to purchase environmentally friendly products, as well as the meditating role of green purchase willingness in the linkages between antecedents and green purchase intention. In addition, some previous studies suggested that it might be meaningful and significant to explore these linkages in the cross-cultural context with different levels of economic development. Purpose of the article: This study explored the effects of cultural dimension, perceived environmental and green purchase willingness with regard to intention to purchase environmentally friendly products of Vietnamese and Polish customers. Moreover, the mediating role of green purchase willingness was also investigated in this study. Methods: To achieve the objectives of this research, customer surveys were conducted in two developing countries ? Vietnam and Poland. Two convenience samples of 611 Vietnamese consumers and 301 Polish consumers have been recruited from 03 May to 03 October 2020. The structural equation modelling (SEM) was utilized to examine the conceptual framework and test the proposed hypotheses. Findings & value added: The research revealed that green purchase willingness became the most influential factor to predict green purchase intention in both cultures. Also, perceived environmental knowledge was found to have substantial effects on willingness and intention to purchase environmentally friendly products in both countries, even though the influential degree in Poland was much higher than that in Vietnam. Remarkably, cultural dimensions were found to significantly affect green consumption in the collectivist culture of Vietnam, while these relationships were not significant in Poland. This study was expected to significantly contribute to the existing literature by boosting our understanding of the importance of cultural values and perceived knowledge environment in promoting green consumption in the cross-cultural context.

THE KNOWLEDGE LEVEL OF THIRD CLASS PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS IN THE FIELD OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
Poziom wiedzy uczniów klas trzecich szkół podstawowych w gminie Trzciana w zakresie edukacji ekologicznej

Praca ma na celu przedstawienie najważniejszych zagadnień z zakresu edukacji ekologicznej dzieci w wieku wczesnoszkolnym, a także określenie wpływu realizacji programu „Mniszek lekarski” na zasób wiedzy ekologicznej uczniów na przykładzie szkół podstawowych w gminie Trzciana, oraz porównanie zasobu wiedzy uczniów ze szkoły realizującej i nie realizującej wyżej wspomnianego programu.Strukturę pracy tworzą pięć rozdziałów. W rozdziale pierwszym przedstawiono najważniejsze teoretyczne zagadnienia dotyczące edukacji ekologicznej dzieci, takie jak m.in. cele i zadania edukacji ekologicznej. Rozdział drugi to przedstawienie programu edukacji ekologicznej „Mniszek lekarski”, który jest realizowany w szkołach podstawowych w gminie Trzciana, a także krótka prezentacja celów edukacji ekologicznych zawartych Narodowej Strategii Edukacji Ekologicznej, oraz analiza podstawy programowej pod względem edukacji przyrodniczej. W rozdziale trzecim przeprowadzono analizę wybranych ogólnopolskich badań dotyczących edukacji ekologicznej w Polsce, pod względem podejmowanych w tych badaniach zagadnień, takie jak: działania proekologiczne, świadomość osobistego wpływu na środowisko, wiedzy na temat racjonalnego używania zasobów oraz postaw w zakresie ochrony środowiska. Rozdział czwarty zawiera założenia metodologiczne badań własnych, w którym ujęte zostały istotne elementy dowodzące sens badanego zjawiska. Rozdział piąty dotyczy praktycznych aspektów edukacji ekologicznej w młodszych klasach na przykładzie szkół podstawowych w gminie Trzciana. Dokonano analizy wyników badań własnych, przeprowadzonych wśród uczniów dwóch szkół (realizującej wyżej wymieniony program, oraz nierealizującej), w celu określenie poziomu wiedzy uczniów w zakresie przyrody i ekologii, oraz roli jaką pełni w tym program „Mniszek lekarski”.
The purposes of this dissertation are to present the most important issues from the field of environmental education of children at early school age, to evaluate the influence of “Mniszek lekarski” programme realisation on the environmental knowledge resource of the pupils from primary schools in the Gmina Trzciana and, finally, to compare the knowledge resource of the pupils from school which carries out “Mniszek lekarski” programme and from school which does not perform this programme. This dissertation comprises five chapters. In the first chapter, the most important, theoretical issues, such as aims and tasks of environmental education, connected with children environmental education, were presented. The second chapter describes “Mniszek lekarski” programme which is carried out in the primary schools in Gmina Trzciana, aims of environmental education which are included in a National Strategy for Environmental Education, and analysis of the curriculum in terms of the environmental education. The third chapter illustrates analysis of some Polish nationwide researches related to the environmental education in Poland, in terms of the issues taking up in these researches i.e. ecological actions, awareness of personal impact on the environment, knowledge of using resources reasonably and attitudes in the field of environmental protection. The fourth chapter contains not only methodological assumptions of own researches, but also significant elements needed to prove the sense of the examined phenomenon. Practical aspects of environmental education in primary schools in Gmina Trzciana and the results based on own researches (carried out in school which applies “Mniszek lekarski” programme and in school which does not execute mentioned programme) were presented in the last chapter, in order to assess the knowledge level of pupils, in the area of nature and ecology, and the role of “Mniszek lekarski” programme in this process.

The article presents the results of a study on environmental awareness of pedagogy students in Kazakhstan. The study concerning the attitudes, knowledge and sources of knowledge was conducted on a group of 274 pedagogy students. Attitudes were examined using the New Ecological Paradigm Scale questionnaire. Knowledge was tested using questions on current topics such as global warming, smog, and the amount of drinking water, as well as methods of protecting the environment. Social media turned out to be the main source of knowledge about environmental protection among pedagogy students.

Research background Growing global concerns about pollution and environmental degradation have heightened interest in eco-friendly, sustainable, and green consumption. As individuals become more environmentally conscious, they adopt “green” lifestyles as part of their responsibility toward sustainability. Purpose This study examines whether environmental knowledge influences green purchasing behavior, focusing on students from 11 universities affected by the 2023 earthquake in Türkiye. Through a survey of 390 respondents, the research explores the link between green purchasing behavior and environmental knowledge to understand consumer awareness in post-disaster settings. Research methodology A questionnaire survey was conducted with 390 participants. Scale reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha in SPSS, while a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) in AMOS ensured validity. Structural equation modeling (SEM) in AMOS analyzed variable correlations within the research model. Results The findings reveal that higher environmental knowledge significantly enhances green purchasing behavior, suggesting that informed consumers are more likely to engage in sustainable purchasing. Novelty This study contributes to the literature by investigating the link between environmental knowledge and green purchasing in a post-disaster context. Using data from students at 11 earthquake- affected universities in Türkiye, it underscores the need to increase consumer awareness of sustainability.
