Opis:: Specialized training of candidates for officers is one of the main components affecting the preparation of an officer for taking up first duty. In the article the author presents and analyzes the structure of the specialized training for the corps of defense against weapons of mass destruction (CBRN), in force in the years 2006-2015. The evaluation of the specialized training programs shows diversification in terms of the organization of training while maintaining the consistency of training objectives. On the grounds of such an evaluation the author argues that the program multiplicity and variability may differentiate, and probably does, graduates in respect of the level of competences for the profession. That thesis constitutes the basis for conducting studies on the effectiveness of specialized training of candidates for officers of the Polish Armed Forces.

Opis:: The research presented in the article is devoted to issues concerning crisis management system improvement. The emphasis and author’s focus concerns especially the training procedures providing the proper instructions for the specialists operating within it. Specifically, the practical training is named as the priority, and this includes the means of organizing exercises, and interaction within the crisis management system. The legislative process is also outlined, with the legal ambiguity of some statutory nature also exemplified. This correspondingly includes the assessment of the executory provisions sometimes determining the effective validation of the crisis management system.

Opis:: W rozdziale dokonano analizy potrzeby szkoleń specjalistycznych wśród pracowników służby zdrowia – lekarzy, pielęgniarek, personelu pomocniczego. Pracownicy służby zdrowia oprócz umiejętności i klasyfikacji wynikających z uprawianego zawodu powinni posiadać umiejętności, które podnoszą komfort pracy, zwłaszcza jeśli chodzi o kontakt z pacjentem. Bardzo często pracownicy służby zdrowia nie posiadają tzw. umiejętności „miękkich”, które ułatwiają pracę w stresujących warunkach między samymi pracownikami, jak i pracownikami i pacjentami. Naczelna Izba Lekarska posiada w swoim pakiecie edukacyjnym różne rodzaje szkoleń. Jednak brakuje tych, które pomagałyby pracownikom służby zdrowia identyfikować zagrożenia z grupy psychospołecznych zagrożeń zawodowych i wskazywać jak sobie z nimi radzić. W rozdziale przedstawiono wyniki ankiety przeprowadzonej wśród pracowników śląskich placówek służby zdrowia, która dotyczyła m.in. opinii respondentów na temat potrzeb szkoleń dodatkowych i specjalistycznych dla pracowników służby zdrowia.
The chapter analyzes the need for specialist training among healthcare professionals - doctors, nurses, support staff. In addition to skills and classifications resulting from the profession, health professionals should have skills that improve the comfort of work, especially when it comes to contact with the patient. Very often, health care workers do not have so-called "soft" skills that facilitate working in stressful conditions between the employees themselves as well as employees and patients. The Chief Medical Chamber has in its educational package, various types of training. However, there are a lack of those that would help healthcare professionals identify risks from the group of psychosocial occupational hazards and indicate how to deal with them. The chapter presents the results of a survey conducted among employees of Silesian health care institutions, which concerned respondents' opinions on the needs of additional and specialist training for health professionals.

Opis:: The article updates the problem of developing digital skills in future teachers of specialized and vocational training. The possibilities of using informal education to solve this problem are identified. The need for developing modern digital skills of future teachers of specialized and vocational training based on competency-based, integrated, context-oriented and multimodal approaches is substantiated. During the experiment, a phased formation of digital skills is carried out: at the preparatory, project, training and final stages. The main task of the preparatory stage is to familiarize students with the features of using digital technologies, the structural components of digital skills and indicators of their formation. All students during their studies at the university take a course on the theoretical foundations of using digital technologies in education. At the project stage, the main task is to develop the ability of future teachers to professional self-management. Students of the experimental group additionally participate in a workshop and independently develop personal programs for the development of digital skills in the context of informal education. At the training stage, students of the experimental group implement these programs. At the final stage, students of the control and experimental groups perform creative work. Feedback on personal programs is provided by experts from among university teachers and practicing teachers. In the process of experimental work, the effectiveness of the development of digital skills in the context of informal education of future teachers is tested. The use of digital technologies is presented at three levels: household (low), user (medium), professional (high). The experiment shows the feasibility of using personal programs for informal education. Generalization of the results of the experimental work demonstrates the advantages of informal education in the formation of digital skills of future teachers of specialized and professional education.

Tytuł:: Experiencing a translation project : translating for Krosno museums in the eyes of teachers and students

Opis:: The article concerns the notion of translation project in the light of contemporary research on translator training, which has suggested that introducing projects into translator training has many advantages, including the sense of "reality" of the translated text that students gain in the course of such projects. The researchers have also proposed several stages of the project, including preparatory stage, actual translation and consolidation phase. The Visegrad Fund supported English for V4 Countries Heritage Presentation project, which was undertaken by Krosno State College students and their teachers in the autumn semester of the 2013-2014 academic year, consisted in translating the Krosno and Biecz museum texts roughly in compliance with the translator project research. The project ended with student evaluation, which brought generally positive comments. Future projects are planned, also in cooperation with the same museums.

Opis:: The article deals with the effects of improved methods of training 7–12 year old children at the initial stage of long-term training using specialized Judo Games. Modern methods of training in many sports, Judo in particular, are characterized by early specialization. In this regard there could be observed immaturity of some existing training programs when age-related features of beginners are not taken into consideration, and as a result children’s health is suffering unfortunate consequences. Methods of initial Judo training open vast space for perfection and development of this kind of sports. The author initiated and practiced teaching and training process at the IT (initial training) stage Judo beginners by using Judo games as means of full development of physical features and shaping combat skills. This experiment proved to be actual and practically valuable.

Opis:: The gloss refers to a judgment of the Higher Court of Lawyers (Anwaltsgerichtshof) of North Rhine-Westphalia Land of 11 November 2015 (1 AGH 23/15), in which the Court ruled upon the decision of a bar association to revoke the permission to use the professional title of “Fachanwalt” (specialist lawyer) due to a breach of the professional obligation to undergo compulsory continuing professional development. The Court correctly recognized that, firstly, the Bar had made its decision on the wrong basis and, secondly, that there was nevertheless no reduction of its discretion to zero, since despite the existence of the reason for revocation – at least in this specific case – discretion still had to be exercised by the Bar. In this way, the Court corrected the Bar’s doubly erroneous decision. The law applicable in this case has been reformed since the decision with the aim of harmonizing the way the bars use their discretion by issuing decisions concerning the revocation of permissions to use the title “Fachanwalt” – the harshest sanction in this context. By these means, erroneous decisions such as the one at hand shall be minimized. However, the new regulation is also fraught with uncertainty and the extent to which it will provide a remedy will only be- come apparent with time.

Opis:: Nowadays essential changes are happening in the field of education. A lot of people of different specialities feel the necessity of profound knowledge of foreign languages. To be a good specialist means not only read up-to-date literature but also keep hands on pulse. In our paper we would like to illustrate this point and present the portfolio of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) for the first and second year of studies at one of the higher technical universities, namely Lviv State University of Life Safety. Our course “English for Rescuers” focuses on the development of specific English language skills for students and cadets for Fire Safety speciality.
W nauczaniu można obecnie zaobserwować wiele istotnych zmian. Specjaliści widzą potrzebę znajomości języków obcych. Bycie dobrym specjalistą nie oznacza tylko korzystania z literatury specjalistycznej ale również śledzenie na bieżąco nowinek w swojej dziedzinie. W artykule podjęto próbę potwierdzenia tezy, jak również zaprezentowania portfolio kursu: Angielski o Profilu Specjalistycznym, skierowanego dla studentów pierwszego i drugiego roku studiów w jednym z technicznych uniwersytetów – Lwowskim Państwowym Uniwersytecie Bezpieczeństwa Życia. Kurs „Angielski dla Ratowników” zakłada rozwijanie specyficznych umiejętności języka angielskiego u studentów i kadetów wydziału Bezpieczeństwa Pożarowego.

Opis:: The article reveals the main approaches to determining the place of innovative technologies in the process of forming the professional competence of future bachelors of professional (vocational) education. The author analyzes the possibilities of professional disciplines of the food profile and substantiates the feasibility of using innovative technologies in the process of studying them at different stages of practical training. A necessary condition for the preparation of competitive specialists, principled, proactive, capable of conscious professional activity is the use of active forms of educational and cognitive work of students. Despite the increase in the number of scientific publications on the problems of implementing innovative learning technologies, the algorithm for their use in the process of conducting professional disciplines is still insufficiently substantiated. The problem of the quality of training of future specialists remains relevant in the educational process, so scientists are in search of tools that will help to use the common activities of the teacher and students more effectively. The use of active forms and methods of teaching, innovative technologies optimize the educational process; contribute to the training of highly qualified specialists with developed practical thinking, creative imagination, and the ability to resolve non-standard situations. The introduction of innovative learning technologies in the process of teaching professional disciplines to future bachelors of vocational (vocational) education contributes to the formation of their conscious need for an independent pursuit of professionalism, the development of a mechanism for self-organization of mental activity, the creation of conditions for the independent acquisition of professional competencies, their application in practice is important in the context of modern trends in the development of European education. At the same time, the analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature and the practice of organizing professional training of bachelors shows that the use of innovative technologies as a guarantee of high-quality training of future specialists in professional (vocational) education requires periodic revision and clarification of the features of using higher pedagogical educational institutions in the educational process establishments. Taking into account the results of the study and limiting itself to the conditions of a certain institution of higher pedagogical education, the author offers his own vision of the use of innovative technologies in the process of studying professional disciplines by future bachelors of professional (vocational) education. The essence of the methods and forms of training used in carrying out practical work on the discipline «Technology of products of the restaurant industry» is considered; the need for problem-based learning in the training of future specialists in professional (vocational) education is indicated. A fragment of practical work is presented, focused on the formation of knowledge and skills of students, in the context of which it is proposed to use certain forms and methods of training, which will contribute to the formation of readiness for professional activity of future specialists.
У статті розкриваються основні підходи до визначення місця інноваційних технологій у процесі формування професійної компетентності майбутніх бакалаврів професійної (професійно-технічної) освіти. Автор аналізує можливості фахових дисциплін харчового профілю та обґрунтовує доцільність використання інноваційних технологій у процесі їх вивчення на різних етапах практичного заняття. Необхідною умовою підготовки конкурентоспроможних фахівців, принципових, ініціативних, здатних до свідомої професійної діяльності, є використання активних форм навчально-пізнавальної роботи студентів. Незважаючи на збільшення кількості наукових публікацій з проблем реалізації інноваційних технологій навчання, алгоритм їх використання у процесі проведення фахових дисциплін все ще недостатньо обґрунтований. Проблема якості підготовки майбутніх фахівців залишається актуальною в освітньо-виховному процесі, тому науковці перебувають у пошуку інструментарію, що допоможе більш ефективно використовувати спільну діяльність педагога та студентів. Використання активних форм та методів навчання, інноваційних технологій оптимізують освітній процес, сприяють підготовці висококваліфікованих фахівців із розвиненим практичним мисленням, творчою уявою, умінням вирішувати нестандартні ситуації. Впровадження інноваційних технологій навчання в процесі навчання фаховим дисциплінам майбутніх бакалаврів професійної (професійно-технічної) освіти сприяє формуванню у них усвідомленої потреби в самостійному прагненні до професіоналізму, розвитку механізму самоорганізації розумової діяльності, створенню умов для самостійного набуття професійних компетентностей, їх застосування на практиці, що є важливим в умовах сучасних тенденцій розвитку європейської освіти. Водночас, аналіз психолого-педагогічної літератури і практики організації професійної підготовки бакалаврів свідчить, що використання інноваційних технологій, як запоруки якісної підготовки майбутніх фахівців професійної (професійно-технічної) освіти, потребує періодичного перегляду та уточнень особливостей використання в навчально-виховному процесі вищих педагогічних навчальних закладів. Зважаючи на результати дослідження та обмежуючись умовами визначеного закладу вищої педагогічної освіти, автор пропонує власне бачення використання інноваційних технологій у процесі вивчення фахових дисциплін майбутніми бакалаврами професійної (професійно-технічної) освіти. Розглядається сутність методів та форм навчання, які застосовуються при проведенні практичних робіт з дисципліни «Технологія продукції ресторанного господарства»; вказується на необхідність проблемного навчання у підготовці майбутніх фахівців професійної (професійно-технічної) освіти. Показано фрагмент проведення практичної роботи, орієнтованої на формування знань та вмінь студентів, в розрізі якого пропонується використання певних форм та методів навчання, що сприятиме формуванню готовності до професійної діяльності майбутніх фахівців.
