Opis:: The aim of the studies was determining the spatial distribution of premises and the technical means of production resources on farms in the years 1996, 2002 and 2010. The database has been developed for 36 counties of the Śląskie voivodship. The spatial database developed for the analysed voivodships assumed a county as the smallest indivisible unit of the geographical space. The data describing the technical means of production on farms were obtained from inquiries conducted by the European Statistical Office. Diagnostic variables describing the technical equipment on farms included: self-propelled machinery, tractors and usable areas. The analysis of spatial distribution was conducted for the assumed period of time and spatial changes were determined. On the basis of the analysed diagnostic variables the synthetic indicator was determined, which described the multivariate phenomenon by means of one variable. The analysis show that in 1996 agricultural farms were better equipped on the level of the measure of development 0.306 than in 2002, when the measure of development was lower by 0.100.

Opis:: Przeanalizowano inwestycje dokonywane w roku 2001 w wybranej grupie 134 gospodarstw o powierzchni od 5 do 20 ha UR. Jedynie 21% gospodarstw dokonywało zakupów maszyn. Wskaźnik odnowienia wyniósł 1,32% a średni wiek maszyn przekroczył 14 lat. Następuje dekapitalizacja posiadanych środków trwałych, a jedynie 11% gospodarstw miało poziom inwestycji zapewniający modernizację posiadanych zestawów maszyn.
The investments done in 2001 in the selected group of 134 farms with the surface from 5 to 20 ha UR were analysed. Only 21% farm purchased machines. The renewal indicator was 1.32% and the average age of machinery exceeded 14 years. Decapitalization of the possessed fixed assets is going on, and only 11% of the farms had an investment level that could guarantee modernization of the existing machinery.

Opis:: Celem badań było określenie stopnia zrównoważenia produkcji rolniczej w aspekcie ekonomicznym. Jako mierników zrównoważenia ekonomicznego wykorzystano wydajność pełnosprawnej jednostki siły roboczej oraz wskaźnik produktywności pracy uprzedmiotowionej. Zakresem objęto 12 gospodarstw położonych na terenie powiatu żywieckiego. Wykazano, że w terenach górskich, gdzie wydajność ziemi jest niska, wzrost uzbrojenia technicznego prowadzi do wzrostu wydajności pracy ludzkiej, przy jednocześnie wysokim spadku produktywności pacy uprzedmiotowionej.
The purpose of the work was to determine a degree of agricultural production balancing in an economical aspect. Efficiency of a fully fit unit of labour force and the index of objectified work efficiency were used as economical balancing meters. The study covered 12 farms located on the territory of the żywiecki powiat. It was proved that in the highlands where the land productivity is low, the increase of technical infrastructure leads to the increase of human labour efficiency at the large decrease of the objectified work efficiency.

Opis:: W pracy zaprezentowano syntetyczne wyniki produkcyjno-finansowej działalności wybranych 53 rozwojowych gospodarstw rodzinnych w 2009 r. W gospodarstwach (o powierzchni 8,5-150 ha UR) wykorzystuje się własną produkcję roślinną głównie na pasze dla posiadanych krów i pozostałego bydła lub trzody chlewnej. Poza ogólną charakterystyką badanych obiektów oraz uzyskiwanych przez nie przychodów i dochodów, szczegółowej analizie poddano nakłady materialne i niematerialne, ponoszone w ciągu roku na działalność produkcyjną i usługową. Ze struktury tych nakładów wynika, że największe wartości średnie w całej zbiorowości stanowią wydatki inwestycyjne (28,3%) i zakupy produktów rolniczych (25,8%), a także agrochemikalia (12,85%) i bezpośrednie nośniki energii (11,2%).
Paper presents the synthesis of productive-financial activity results in 2009 for selected 53 developing family farms. Own crops produced on the farms (of the acreage from 8.5 to 150 ha AL) are mostly used as a feed for raised cows and other cattle, or the pigs. Apart from general characteristics of the studied objects and obtained by them incomes, expenditures and profits, the material and immaterial inputs were analysed in details, as born during a year on productive and service activities. From the structure of these inputs it results that the highest average values of total outlays reached the investment expenditures (28.3%) and purchase of agricultural products (25.8%), as well as the agrochemicals (12.85%) and direct energy carriers (11.2%).

Opis:: In the article the way of improvement quality of life as users and maintainers of technical means is presented. It is assumed that it is necessary to keep the fundamental of sustainable development. Therefore the application of the scheme of the process of satisfying needs is shown. It helps establish the activities necessary to achieve this goal and enables to plan required information resources. In the range of exploitation and design tasks the application of original strategy of exploitation by older persons was proposed. This strategy uses 6R method which in the future will be supplemented on elements commonly executed strategies and policies of exploitation. Decision making in accordance with proposed strategy will be possible by performing calculations and simulation with the use of multidisciplinary model, whose conception was indicated in the article and which uses matrix of assessment of the quality of life.

Opis:: Objectives: The future verification of the nuclear disarmament poses different challenges. The International Partnership for Nuclear Disarmament Verification is working on these challenges. The verification methods and approaches are very different so they can greatly influence the outcome of the inspection activities. Methods: These methods and approaches can be identified in other, already functioning arms control arrangements and confidence and security building measures. The methods and approaches have their advantages and disadvantages, so the planning of different verification activities have to take into account these aspects. Results: The future nuclear disarmament verification can be achieved by combining the methods of verification. The availability of technology also can contribute for verification of nuclear disarmament without entering sensitive areas, thus the states can comply with the provisions of the Non-proliferation Treaty. The use of different sensors for verification can complement the on-site inspection activities by providing for the inspectors data on the outline of specific site. After the certification of the sensors, states can use those under specific information barriers. The recording of findings of a verification activity also important for planning future inspection missions, and in case of non-compliance they can be used as factual evidence in different negotiations. Conclusions: For this purpose the network maintained by the Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe can be viewed as a model that ensures the confidentiality of the notifications.

Opis:: Badania wykazały, iż wyposażenie gospodarstw w środki transportowe jest wysokie. Najlepsze zarówno pod względem ilościowym jak też jakościowym odnotowano w gospodarstwach specjalizujących się w uprawach polowych, natomiast najgorsze w gospodarstwach wielokierunkowych. Roczne wykorzystanie ciągników mieściło się w granicach od 865 do 429 godzin, samochodów osobowych od 469 do 54 godzin, samochodów dostawczych od 582 do 178 godzin a samochodów ciężarowych od 107 do 101 godzin. Średnio na jeden środek transportowy w zależności od specjalizacji gospodarstw przypada od 0,4 do 1,2 środka za- lub wyładunkowego.
Completed research has proven that farms are well-equipped with means of transport. Best-equipped farms, both regarding quantity and quality, were those specialised in field crops. The worst equipment was reported in multidirectional farms. Annual utilization of tractors ranged from 865 to 429 hours, cars - from 469 to 54 hours, delivery trucks/vans - from 582 to 178 hours, and trucks - from 107 to 101 hours. Depending on a farm specialization, there is from 0.4 to 1.2 loading or unloading unit to one transport vehicle, on average.

Oszacowano potrzeby i możliwości inwestycyjne tych gospodarstw, stwierdzając ich zróżnicowanie w poszczególnych grupach obszarowych. W 2009 r. średnie nakłady inwestycyjne, przeliczone na ha UR, były najwyższe w grupach V (3,11 tys.*ha-1 UR) i I (2,18 tys.*ha-1 UR), czyli w gospodarstwach o powierzchni 57-150 ha UR i o powierzchni 8-20 ha UR. Wnioskowano, aby ocenę działalności inwestycyjnej, podobnie jak i całej działalności modernizacyjnej, wybranego gospodarstwa rodzinnego opierać na wynikach kilkuletnich, a nie rocznych.
Paper presented the analysis of investment activity in 53 selected developing family farms, of the acreage from 8.5 to 150 ha AL. Estimated investment needs and possibilities of surveyed farms showed considerable differentiation within particular acreage groups of farms. In 2009 the average investment outlays, as accounted per 1 ha AL, were highest in groups V (3.11 thous. PLN*ha-1 AL) and I (2.18 thous. PLN*ha-1 AL); in other words - in the farms of acre-age 57-150 ha AL, and of acreage 8-20 ha AL. It was also concluded to lean the evaluation of investment activity, as well as the whole modernization activities in chosen family farm, on the several year's results, not on the one-year only.

Opis:: On an example of 100 organic farms the paper presents their technical means of production resources. The following were identified among the technical means of production: tractors, cultivation aggregates, machinery for organic fertilization, plant tending, sowing, planting and harvesting, and for livestock production. Tractor resources were on the level of 1.53 pcs*farm-1, whereas in the group of largest farms (more than 20 ha AL) - 2.40 pcs*farm-1. Studied farms were best equipped with cultivation machinery and tools but poorly in cereal and root crops harvesters.
W pracy przedstawiono na przykładzie 100 gospodarstw ekologicznych wyposażenie w techniczne środki produkcji. Wśród technicznych środków produkcji wyszczególniono ciągniki rolnicze, maszyny uprawowe, maszyny do nawożenia organicznego, pielęgnacji, siewu, sadzenia, zbioru, a także do produkcji zwierzęcej. Wyposażenie w ciągniki rolnicze kształtowało się na poziomie 1,53 szt*gosp.-1, a w grupie gospodarstw największych (ponad 20 ha UR) - 2,40 szt*gosp.-1. Badane gospodarstwa były najlepiej wyposażone w maszyny i narzędzia uprawowe, natomiast słabo w maszyny do zbioru zbóż i roślin okopowych..

The work presents results of a research carried out in 70 farms located in Małopolska Region. Completed studies concerned the impact of information on machine stock management. The analysis covered methods used to acquire information related to the purchase and repair of farm machines. Research results may help to improve information system in agriculture.
