Opis:: In the modern education system there are rapid and significant changes that do not by pass the teaching of disciplines in medical universities. Different types of multimedia technologies allow you to model the conditions of learning activities and implement them in the form of various training exercises. Each of these types contributes to a more rational activity of the teacher at certain stages of the educational process, expands opportunities, intensifying the pedagogical process as a whole. Technological novelties help to activate self-motivation of students, their creative thinking, independence and the desire to comprehensively obtain and assimilate information, stimulate curiosity and interest in scientific activity.

Opis:: If we look back, evaluating the last two centuries, the productive environments of our societies have experienced several industrial revolutions that caused great changes in production and that, in turn, generated important changes in societies at all times. Likewise, the digital transformation that has been incorporated into the bases of companies, each one in its measure, has not yet reached its maximum potential, but it has changed the way we live and, therefore, the way we work. Historically, automation has come from the hand of specialization, not because of the manufacture of tractors the land has been stopped, but more has been produced and that production has been managed in favor of employment and economic health. Technological transformations hand in hand with digitalization and artificial intelligence generate opportunities, but they also represent a threat to a good part of traditional jobs and professions, since changes are rapid and the impact of new technologies is much greater; thus, the change in the training and qualification of workers is necessary. Like the looms in the 18th century and the production models at the beginning of the 20th, digital transformation is our present, but it will be much more powerful in the future, as it entails and will entail a redefinition of the labor market and the law that governs it. regulates. Globalization and technological changes have generated a need to address labor law from a global perspective; Furthermore, this right must not only be active, but also effective, solid, in accordance with international decent work standards.

Opis:: In general, the production processes are more and more complex. This is the result of more and more sophisticated materials used, the pressure to save them as well as other production resources (ecological perspective), also the tendency to buy mobile products lighter and less power consuming than before. In previous years using highly specialized technology was very costly for the company. Nowadays, this situation is possible to be changed because of emerging types of modern micro-controllers and variety of compatible sensors. Some of those micro-controllers are more power saving, some are more powerful in terms of computing power. The common denominator is that both purchasing them as well as programming is possible for ordinary person, a hobbyist building DIY projects. This sheds new light to the professional usage of modern micro-controllers-based solutions that can become possible to offer comparable level of precision at the fraction of cost. The authors recognized the strong potential in modern micro-controllers and made the research among professionals in the area of production companies. The outcome of research showed that the professionals share the opinion of the authors. Therefore, the outbreak of usage of such inexpensive solutions in professional applications is expected. However, the research showed, that there is possible to find single situations, where usage of modern micro-controllers may be limited, for example in the company targeted to produce hand-made products or handicraft (manufacture).

Tytuł:: Augmented intelligence technology : the ethical and practical problems of its implementation in libraries

Opis:: Purpose - The subject of the article is the concept of augmented intelligence, which constitutes a further stage in the development of research on artificial intelligence. This is a new phenomenon that has rarely been considered in the subject literature so far, which may be interesting for the fields of social sciences and humanities. The aim is to describe the features of this technology and determine the practical and ethical problems associated with its implementation in libraries. Design/methodology/approach - The method of literature review was used. Systematic searches according to specific questions were carried out using the Scopus and Web of Science scientific databases, as well as Google Scholar and the LISTA abstract database. Findings - The results established that the issue of augmented intelligence has barely been discussed in the field of librarianship. Although this technology may be interesting as a new area of librarian research and as a new framework for designing innovative services, deep ethical consideration is necessary before this technology is introduced in libraries. Research limitations/implications - The article deals with some of the newest technologies available, and this topic is generally very rarely discussed in scientific publications in either the social sciences or humanities. Therefore, due to the limited availability of materials, the findings presented in the article are primarily of a conceptual nature. The aim is to present this topic from the perspective of librarianship and to create a starting point for further discussion on the ethical aspects of introducing new technologies in libraries. Practical implications - The results can be widely used in practice as a framework for the implementation of augmented intelligence in libraries. Social implications - The article can help to facilitate the debate on the role of implementing new technologies in libraries. Originality/value - The problem of augmented intelligence is very rarely addressed in the subject literature in the field of library and information science.

Opis:: This paper attempts to forecast the future of warfare methods in the forthcoming decades of the 21st century. The predictions reflect on the current trends observed in the development of military and civil (dual-use) technologies and changes in thought constructs developed for hostilities. The methods of warfare at the turn of the 21st century are likely to reflect the technological evolution of the modern age. Considering the present-day trends, there is a good probability that our technology-driven lives will transform people into hybrids of biological organisms merged with the technological environment, integrated with the body. Therefore, hostile action against human soldiers could be taken on three major levels: the biological organism, the mass communication technology integrated into the body, and the mental level – both in the conscious and the subconscious sphere. The study into how the soldier’s mental sphere can be influenced to anticipate and shape behaviours may contribute to further research on the third level impact on enemy soldiers. The conclusions formulated in this analysis may carry significant implications for the works on an innovative methodology of the future warfare, accounting for the technological progress in the next decades of the 21st century, and a methodology for countering future military threats.

Opis:: W artykule opisano model wyznaczania listy przełomowych technologii w sektorze obronnym oparty na aparacie logiki rozmytej. Zmiennymi lingwistycznymi wejściowymi są wskaźniki określające krytyczność technologii. Każdy wskaźnik wejściowy odzwierciedla obecność lub brak określonej cechy w ocenianej technologii, dlatego stosuje się prostą ocenę językową. Jednak dla większości wskaźników używane są tylko obiektywne dane statystyczne uzyskane bez udziału ekspertów. Zaproponowany model jest przedstawiony w postaci siedmiu układów wnioskowania rozmytego, które są ułożone hierarchicznie. Została opisana i udoskonalona metoda analizy bibliometrycznej służącej do określania perspektyw technologii. W wyniku rozmytej oceny określa się poziom krytyczności technologii. Proponuje się zastosowanie nowej zasady tworzenia listy technologii przełomowych i krytycznych.
The paper describes a model determining the list of disruptive technologies in the defense sector based on the apparatus of fuzzy logic. Input linguistic variables are indicators that determine the criticality of technologies. Each input indicator reflects the presence or absence of a certain feature in the evaluated technologies, so a simple linguistic evaluation is used. However, for the most part only objective evaluations are used without the expert’s opinion. The proposed model is presented in the form of seven fuzzy inference systems, which are arranged hierarchically. The method of bibliometric analysis for determining the prospects of technologies is described and improved. The level of technologies criticality is determined as a result of fuzzy evaluation. It is proposed to apply a new principle of technologies selection as disruptive or critical ones.
