Opis:: Criptocurrencies are popular convertible virtual currencies, as they use security mechanisms such as cryptography for creating units of the currency and controlling the transaction. The main property of criptocurrencies is that they provide anonymity for the transaction, as they work based on Blockchain technology. Bitcoin is one of the most important criptocurrencies on the market. Whereas we like it or not, it seems that Bitcoin has become a powerful payment instrument, but also a payment system. The national Governments face now a new challenge: the necessity of regulating Bitcoin. But Bitcoin is incompatible with any kind of centralized control. We can only imagine that effective regulations can exist only through worldwide cooperation: “Bitcoin and other virtual currencies are present and growing in major economies, supporting the call for increased global cooperation”. This will be probably an expensive and complex process.

Opis:: Is it possible to respond to contemporary challenges of Christianity from the meta-perspective of philosophy and cultural studies? We have divided the articles presented here into three groups: challenges faced by religion regarding science, challenges of secularisation, and challenges in the Church itself. The articles from the volume do not address these problems in totally different ways. The issues of consistency and rationality of religion become reinterpreted, for example when compared to results of empirical sciences, but also in a broadly understood public debate. We shall try to show a close relationship between the Christian religion and such phenomena as: science, media, churches, medicine, war, law, etc. Our point of departure is a search for the current function of Christianity, with the Catholic Church in the centre, but the questions transcend the present state of a particular religion.

Opis:: One of the main tasks of the EU is to create a European identity. This is a complex matter because of some lasting consequences of many divisions, conflicts and wars of the past. There are many national boundaries and various ethnic and cultural identities, regional interests. This paper refers to a whole range of aspects, which may be identified as crucial for education in a diversified Europe. After presenting the divisions and emerging changes occurring in Europe, the author of this article examines varies parameters / challenges related to the shift in interaction between the levels of society. This dynamic shift introduces a different kind of diversity / plurality and new challenges for education. The fundamental and historical differences can not be easily eliminated; they may deserve to be deepened and analysed. The diversity is a constructive dimension for education in Europe.

Opis:: Subject and purpose of work: Dairy production has key functions in food security and poverty reduction, however, dairy farmers do not always benefit from this production. The aim of the study was to analyze the dairy value chain in Ada’a Berga district, Ethiopia. Materials and methods: Primary and secondary research was employed. Using pretested structured questionnaires primary data was collected from 123 dairy producers, 48 actors and 30 dairy consumers. Value chain analysis, a practical method for assessing policymaking appropriateness, was applied for the analysis. Results: The study results revealed the lack of structured dairy value chain, poor performance and weak linkage among dairy value chain actors. Conclusions: There is a need to strengthen input suppliers, the dairy market and dairy cooperatives, as well as to improve the dairy herd, introduce contract farming and control unlicensed traders. Such initiatives will enhance dairy value chain development and sustainability within the district.

Zaprezentowane rozważania stanowią kanwę do szerszej dyskusji na ten temat, szczególnie w kontekście zmian, jakie czekają polską logistykę.
The global economy continues to grow, creating new challenges. Therefore, present increasingly collides with future visions and, on this basis, new directions and concepts for the development of logistics are developed, and, at the same time, items which will be crucial are indicated. It is also worth noticing that logistics itself increasingly influences, directly and indirectly, the economy and the transformations ta king place in it and thus generates more challenges for itself. The issues presented in the article are the subject of reflection and research conducted by the Institute of Logistics and Worehousing on changes and directions of development of logistics. The reflection presented in the article provides the basis for a wider discussion on this topic, particularly in the context of changes that await our Polish logistics.

Opis:: Point of view, preferences and priorities of quality inspection in modern production systems have changed. Quality inspection in its activities is no longer limited only to the documentation of the past, nor is it seen solely as a tool for the detection of nonconformity. Nowadays, the most important quality inspection function is prevention, whose most important goal is to make it before nonconformity. What is expected from modern quality inspection is that it actively improves the production and quality as well as reduces the costs. The aim of the article is to present requirements, guidelines and challenges in the organization of modern quality inspection in a manufacturing company. The role of quality inspection in the classical model and modern model of quality improvement was presented. Determinants of effective quality inspection were presented, as well. The quality inspection methods that best fit into the paradigm of modern quality inspection, that is source inspection, together with visual management were pointed out.

Opis:: Educational achievements in Kerala, India, includes near total literacy, free and universal primary education, low dropout rates, easy access to Higher education resulting in the exceptional social development and quality of life. It is often acclaimed as the ‘Kerala Model’ with reference to the whole education system in India. The initiatives by missionaries and princely regimes of Travancore and Cochin laid the foundation for education in Kerala. The social reform movements accelerated the spread of education. Large scale Government funding of education was an important factor behind the State’s educational development both in private educational institutions established by any person or agency and recognized by and is receiving aid from Government, and Government institutions established and maintained by State Government. This paper focuses on the unique partnership between the private and the public which paved way for the success of the ‘Kerala model’ of education in India along with its challenges and significance.
