Opis:: School is a natural context for development in which the communicative strategies used by teachers when interacting with students are essential for the development of communicative and linguistic competence. The objective of this study was to construct, implement and validate a first version of a self-assessment and decision-making tool on the teaching of oral language at school. It is an adaptation of the Oral Language Assessment in the School Context Scale (Escala de Valoración de la enseñanza de la Lengua Oral en contexto Escolar-EVALOE) (Gràcia et al., 2015) based on the use of the Conversational Methodology. This is a multiple case study focusing on four teachers (1 from an ordinary school, 2 from a rural school and 1 from a special education school). For six months, the teachers self-assessed their teaching practices with the tool, made decisions to improve it, and introduced changes in their classes. The researchers observed five class sessions of each teacher, assessed them with the same tool and each teacher-researcher pair conversed and reflected on the classes in five meetings throughout the semester. The results show that, in spite of the fact that there were important differences between teachers, the EVALOE - Decision Support System (EVALOE-SSD) is a useful tool that facilitates self-assessment, decision-making and the introduction of changes in the classes in order to promote the development of communicative and linguistic competence in the students. The analysis identified elements that can be improved and that will be considered during the review of the tool.

Opis:: Celem artykułu jest wskazanie zasadniczych składników procesów informacyjnych, poprzez które możliwe jest pozyskiwanie, gromadzenie i przetwarzanie oraz wykorzystanie informacji. Przez procesy informacyjne dokonują się różnorodne przeobrażenia społeczne, cywilizacyjne, kulturowe, polityczne i edukacyjne. Dynamiczny rozwój społeczeństwa informacyjnego stwarza potrzebę określenia wymagań jakościowych dla procesów informacyjnych oraz wskazania metod i kryteriów oceny poziomu jakości procesów informacyjnych. W pracy, po pierwsze, określono pojęcie informacji i wyróżniono kluczowe czynniki, które wpływają na jakość obserwacji obiektów otoczenia. Po drugie, na podstawie przeprowadzonej analizy literatury, wskazano na zależność między jakością procesu obserwacji a jakością procesu decyzyjnego. Określono informacyjny charakter powyższych procesów i ich wpływ na kształtowanie się zmian w otoczeniu. Zwrócono również uwagę na potrzebę wspomagania procesu obserwacji i procesu decyzyjnego. Zaprezentowany został system, który umożliwia wspomaganie procesów informacyjnych podczas kojarzenia się rynku pracy z systemem kształcenia.
The aim of the paper is to indicate the main aspects of the information processes and analyze the category of quality. To achieve the established aim the observation process and decision-making process were analyzed in terms of information aspects. First of all, the notion information was conceptualized and the factors which influence the observation quality were listed. Secondly, the observation process was defined and the quality of the observation process was indicated. Thirdly, the correlation between the observation process and the decision-making process was related. Then the decision-making process was defined. Finally the main aspects of the processes were distinguished and the issue of the quality was discussed. The career and educational counseling system was analyzed as the example which indicate the possibilities to support the observation and decision-making processes and increase the quality of the decisions.

Opis:: In the digital society, states’ information security has become one of the key elements of ensuring the competitiveness and sustainable development of the state, guaranteeing its integrity and security in general. An important component of state security is the internal security of the state, which must ensure the personal and public safety of its citizens. Modern Ukraine is building a new system of criminal justice, which requires a new information system for risk assessment and support for optimal decision-making. Today, applied research and the development of information and analytical software for the internal security of the state have acquired a special meaning. In the paper, there is built a set of models for providing operational information for decision-making in criminal justice. This is a cluster model for creating criminal profiles of convicts, and a scoring model for identifying individual characteristics of criminals that have the greatest impact on their propensity to reoffend. The obtained models can provide reliable support for decision-making in the field of criminal justice and become part of the information support system for the internal security of Ukraine in general.

Opis:: Introduction/background: This paper’s aim is to contribute to overcoming the limitations of existing policies intended to facilitate innovativeness. This article addresses the need for more tailored and targeted innovation support measures for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to help maximize their economic and societal impact. Aim of the paper: Specifically, the aim is to advance methodological frameworks for segmenting or selecting innovative SMEs by providing a conceptual proposition based on the innovation cycle at the firm level. Materials and methods: This objective is achieved by exploring the literature on the innovation cycle concept, and adapting the model developed by Abernathy and Utterback (the A–U model) for the purpose of innovation policy. Particular phases of the innovation cycle are transformed into variables and values, and based on the research regarding the behaviour of SMEs illustrative weights are assigned; this assignment depends on the preferred policy approach: either supporting innovativeness in and of itself or supporting innovativeness and an SME’s standing in the long run. Results and conclusions: As a result, the paper presents a tentative working procedure for assessing enterprises according to operationalized criteria derived from the A–U model. Added to this, collaborative efforts in developing innovations are briefly discussed from the innovation policy perspective. It is believed that the new conceptual proposition outlined in the paper will be instrumental in segmenting companies and selecting innovative projects, and will serve policy-makers and intervention organizations in the implementation phase of the innovation policy process, thus contributing to a more efficient and transparent allocation of support instruments by public institution.

Opis:: Decision Support Systems (DSS) are computer-based tools which can assist managers of different disciplines, local governments, investors and other stakeholders to simulate, evaluate, and/or optimize management alternatives. This study aims to elaborate and develop a concept design of a DSS and explore the possibilities which it offers in selecting the most optimal Clean Coal Technology for a given location in the Upper Silesian Coal Basin. The implementation of CCT is a very complex process and is characterized by the interaction of many factors such as: economic, environmental, legal and social therefore, as a consequence the decision-making becomes intricate. The study consisted and relied on the draw-up structure, the determination of fundamental components of the DSS and the generation of recommendation reports. Furthermore, the identification of the DSS user’s needs was carried out along with the classification of the main groups of users, which have a direct impact on the implementation processes of the CCT in the Upper Silesian Coal Basin.
System wspomagania decyzji (SWD) jest narzędziem komputerowym, który może pomóc menadżerom z różnych dyscyplin, przedstawicielom środowisk samorządowych i innym zainteresowanym stronom w przeprowadzeniu symulacji, ocenie i/lub optymalizacji procesu zarządzania. Prowadzone badania mają na celu opracowanie i stworzenie projektu SWD, który okaże się pomocny w wyborze optymalnej technologii czystego węgla dla danej lokalizacji w Górnośląskim Zagłębiu Węglowym. Implementacja technologii CTW jest bardzo złożonym procesem i bazuje na interakcji czynników: ekonomicznych, środowiskowych, prawnych i społeczne w związku z tym, w wyniku czego podejmowanie decyzji w tym zakresie staje się skomplikowane. W pracy opisano strukturę systemu, określono podstawowe elementy SWD i uwzględniono generowania raportów rekomendacyjnych. Ponadto zidentyfikowano potencjalne grupy użytkowników SWD, mających bezpośredni wpływ na procesy implementacji WTC w Górnośląskim Zagłębiu Węglowym. Przeprowadzono również identyfikację potrzeb użytkowników systemu.

Opis:: Domestic violence is experienced by almost 90,000 people every year in Poland. The question of accurate and reliable diagnosis of violence by professionals working with families experiencing violence forms the basis of the analysis of this phenomenon. Research clearly indicates that a good diagnosis is the foundation for creating effective plans to help families and clients. The article assesses the diagnostic process of domestic violence. The diagnostic process has been divided into three parts. The first concerns the situation where violence has not yet occurred but professionals point out factors that may indicate a high probability of its occurrence. The second part relates to the stage where violence occurs. The rules for screening (confirmation of the occurrence of violence) and further in-depth diagnosis are described here. The third part discusses the diagnosis of the possibility of recurrence of violence in families that have previously experienced it. The last part of the article shows how important the phenomenon of violence in the diagnosis made by representatives of various assistance professions is. The article also shows practical tips and solutions used in other countries and difficulties that may face the diagnosis of domestic violence in their work.
Przemoc domowa jest doświadczana każdego roku w Polsce przez niemal 90 tysięcy osób. Podstawowym problemem jaki pojawia się w refleksji na tym zjawiskiem jest pytanie o trafne i rzetelne diagnozowanie przemocy przez profesjonalistów pracujących z rodzinami doświadczających przemocy. Badania jednoznacznie wskazują, że dobra diagnoza jest podstawą do tworzenia efektywnych planów pomocy rodzinie i klientowi. Artykuł analizuje proces diagnostyczny rodzin z problemem przemocy domowej. Proces diagnostyczny podzielony został na trzy części. Pierwsza dotyczy sytuacji kiedy przemoc jeszcze nie występuje ale profesjonaliści wskazują na czynniki, które mogą świadczyć o dużym prawdopodobieństwu pojawienia się jej. Drugi to etap, na którym przemoc występuje. W tym miejscu opisane zostały zasady screeningu (potwierdzenie występowania przemocy) i dalszej pogłębionej diagnozy. Trzecia część podejmuje rozważania dotyczące diagnozy możliwości nawrotu przemocy w rodzinach, które wcześniej jej doświadczały. Ostatnia część pokazuje na ile istotne jest zjawisko przemocy w diagnozie dokonywanej przez przedstawicieli różnych profesji pomocowych. W artykule pokazane zostały także praktyczne wskazówki, rozwiązania funkcjonujące w innych krajach oraz trudności jakie mogą w swojej pracy napotykać diagności problemu przemocy domowej.

Podjęto próbę usprawniony systemu przepływu informacji, podejmowania decyzji oraz zarządzania wiedzą w badanym przedsiębiorstwie.
The article discusses the issues of knowledge management and the use of this knowledge, shows the improvement of the information flow, decision-making and knowledge management in the selected model enterprise. The intent is to show the positive aspects of deepening awareness of companies, which to engage in optimizing the management of their knowledge. In the course of the study, which will examine the situation of a model enterprise for management of the knowledge of the analysis of the initial situation audited entity will include the basic characterization, represented by the approach to knowledge management, the overall scheme of information flow along the company and a deeper analysis of the area of the company as to the types of decisions and information needs of decision makers. An attempt was made an improved system of information flow, decision-making and knowledge management in the audited company.
