Opis:: Celem pracy jest prezentacja trendów rozwojowych w zakresie rolnictwa i przetwórstwa ekologicznego na Dolnym Śląsku uzyskana w badaniach metodą foresight. Według otrzymanych w badaniach prognoz liczba gospodarstw ekologicznych na Dolnym Śląsku wykazuje tendencję wzrastającą w sposób liniowy. Należy spodziewać się, że tendencja ta utrzyma się w dłuższym czasie ze względu na fakt, że tendencja taka jest wpisana w strategię rozwoju Dolnego Śląska. Należy spodziewać się, że będzie jej towarzyszył także wzrost liczby przetwórni produktów ekologicznych pod warunkiem usunięcia dotychczas występujących barier.
The aim of this paper is to present the development trends of organic agriculture and processing in Lower Silesia resulting from studies where foresight method was used. According to data received in the study, a linear increase in the number of organic farms in Lower Silesia is observed. It should be expected that this trend will continue in the longer term due to the fact that this tendency is inherent in the strategy for the development of Lower Silesia. It is expected that it will be accompanied by the increase in processing of organic products, provided to remove existing barriers.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono dwie charakterystyczne dla początków XXI wieku tendencje, jakie obserwuje się przemyśle. Pierwsza z nich to zasada projektowania i wytwarzania maszyn dla ściśle określonych warunków i rodzaju ich pracy. Korzyści z jej stosowania są zarówno w kategoriach technicznych jak i ekonomicznych. Druga opisana tendencja to szersze niż dotąd uwzględnienie pro-ekologicznych aspektów produkcji. W tym przypadku obserwuje się korzyści przede wszystkim w kategoriach ekologicznych, lecz także i ekonomicznych. Przedstawiono przykład realizacji takiego postępowania, który potwierdził poczynione spostrzeżenia.
In the paper two trends in industry that are characteristic of the 21st century beginning were presented. The first is the principle of designing and manufacturing machines for precisely defined conditions and the conditions of their work. Their advantages are both: technical and economic. The second trend described is to take more account of environmental aspects of production than hitherto. There are above all environmental benefits, but also economic ones. An example of the implementation of such a procedure was given, which confirmed the findings made.

Opis:: There are two aims of this paper. The first is to outline the current developments in the port industries in the South Baltic Region, and the second is to reveal the prospects for ports development. This comparative research comprises analysis of the freight traffic in volume and structure and refers to ports of the South Baltic Region, namely Rostock, port complex of Szczecin and Świnoujście, ports of Gdańsk and Gdynia and Klaipeda. Prospects for ports development are elaborated in view of the main port investments and feasible advances in freight traffic. In the first part of the paper, the potential of each port is reviewed. In the second part of the paper, with the support of statistics about the volume and structure of the transhipments, main changes that have foregone in the ports are explored. Investments in infrastructure and handling capacities are reviewed and then used as the ground for elaborating potential in cargo handling advances for each port. Finally, the main findings concerning advances of the port industries are presented in the comparative descriptive form and followed by the discussion about prospects of their developments and issues, referring to the inter port competition.
Cele artykułu, to przedstawienie trendów rozwojowych w wybranych portach morskich Regionu Południowego Bałtyku oraz wskazanie na możliwości ich rozwoju. Analizę porównawczą przeprowadzono względem wielkości i struktury rodzajowej przeładunków dla portów: Rostock, Szczecin, Świnoujście, Gdańsk, Gdynia i Kłajpeda, a przy ocenie perspektyw rozwoju uwzględniono najważniejsze inwestycje portowe i możliwości rozwoju poszczególnych rodzajów przeładunków. W pierwszej części artykułu scharakteryzowano potencjał produkcyjny poszczególnych portów morskich. W oparciu o analizę statystyczną wielkości i struktury obrotów portowych, wskazano na najważniejsze zmiany, do jakich doszło w dotychczasowym rozwoju portów. W kolejnej części opracowania przedstawiono inwestycje nakierowane na rozwój infrastruktury i potencjału przeładunkowego i na tej podstawie wskazano na możliwości rozwoju przeładunków w poszczególnych portach. Ostatnia część artykułu zawiera porównanie najważniejszych ustaleń z przeprowadzonej analizy, dyskusję o perspektywach rozwoju poszczególnych portów i pojawiającej się na tym tle konkurencji między portami.

Opis:: The article is dedicated to the examination of management processes and the implementation of strategies to enhance the quality of life in a regional context using the example of the Druzhbivska territorial community (TG). The article includes an analysis of the socio-economic context of the Druzhbivska TG, identifies key factors influencing the quality of life in the region, and considers measures and initiatives implemented within the strategy to enhance the quality of life. It addresses current challenges such as demographic changes and economic transformations, emphasizing the necessity of developing effective strategies to ensure sustainable development and citizen welfare. Recommendations highlight the development of healthcare and social security programs, the introduction of innovations in the medical field, and the creation of attractive conditions for youth and professionals through the advancement of education, science, and innovation. It is noted that the Druzhbivska TG can play a pivotal role in addressing these challenges. The research is focused on the issue of managing the quality of life in regional conditions, with a focus on the Druzhbivska territorial community. Decreasing birth rates, rising mortality, and population migration pose new tasks for the region. The article proposes specific strategies, including the development of healthcare and social security programs, innovative approaches in the medical sphere, and measures to retain youth and professionals. It underscores the role of the Druzhbivska TG as a key participant in addressing these challenges and ensuring an improvement in the quality of life for the population in the region. This text examines the importance of managing processes to improve the quality of life in regional conditions, specifically using the example of the Druzhbivska territorial community. It mentions that contemporary challenges such as demographic changes, economic, and social transformations make this issue exceptionally pertinent. The problems associated with declining birth rates, increasing mortality, and migration are highlighted, emphasizing the need for effective strategies to overcome these challenges. Specific ideas are proposed, such as the development of healthcare and social security programs, innovative approaches to the medical field, and initiatives to attract and retain young professionals in the region through educational and scientific initiatives. In conclusion, it identifies existing and potential issues in managing the quality of life in a regional context and suggests specific pathways to address these challenges through the active participation of the Druzhbivska territorial community. The proposed strategies aimed at improving healthcare, social security, and creating an appealing environment for youth and professionals may serve as a foundation for sustainable development and the enhancement of the quality of life in the region. Thus, the article illuminates the importance of effective management of processes aimed at ensuring community well-being and development.

Opis:: Purpose: The purpose of the article is to research and analyze the main trends in the hotel and restaurant industry of Ukraine under the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, to identify the main problems of business entities in the field of hospitality and to outline the prospects for its further development. Design/methodology/approach: In the research process, general scientific methods were used – information collection, its analytical processing, theoretical generalization and comparison; graphic method – to illustrate the dynamics of the indicators studied in the work. The object of the study is the activity of enterprises of the hotel and restaurant industry in Ukraine. The subject of the study is the peculiarities of the functioning of domestic enterprises of the hotel and restaurant business in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. The information base of the research became theoretical and methodological developments of domestic and foreign authors, materials of periodicals; statistical data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine; research of the Association of Hotels and Resorts of Ukraine (UHRA); informational materials of the National Tourist Organization of Ukraine. Findings: The article provides an analysis of the efficiency of the hotel and restaurant business. In article is shown the negative impact of the pandemic on the development of the hotel and restaurant industry in Ukraine. The analysis of the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic showed that the hotel and restaurant business needs the implementation of complex innovative approaches in various spheres of activity. Practical implications: Based on the analysis of the theoretical and methodological principles and trends in the development of the hotel and restaurant business in Ukraine during the pandemic, were summarized practical recommendations and were substantiated a measures aimed at overcoming the consequences of the crisis and improving the efficiency of the enterprises. Originality/value: The results of the conducted research will contribute to the improvement of the management system of hotel and restaurant business enterprises and increase their competitiveness on the domestic and international markets.
