Opis:: This paper investigates the issues of education and integration conditions for Vietnamese immigrants’ children in Poland. These points of interest were primarily treated as the additional research connected with our teaching practices. It was conducted as an empirical study with three non-standardised interviews with the families, informal observations, and group discussions. Regardless of the limitation of a perhaps not significantly substantial range of data, the study led to the outlining of some concerns connected with the process of education and integration of the children in these Vietnamese families. The main four findings which are related to the research question are: the cultural differences and expectations of the parents, the language barriers of the parents, the typical stereotypes of educating children at home, and the conflicts of self-identification in the future. The research implied that children from all the immigrant groups should be assessed as to their growth as well as to the quality of their adaptation into the society.

Opis:: This paper is a hermeneutic analysis of selected academic publications. This paper examines a number of issues related to undertaking social roles by adults with disabilities and the problem of their postponed transition to adulthood, restricting or delaying developmental tasks typical of adulthood, which has negative implications and may exacerbate disability. Support provided by various entities and institutions may reduce existing barriers and enhance their social integration. Both positive and negative effects of using social support by people with disabilities have been pointed out. Sources of social support have been listed along with their specifics. The analysis included the disabled person’s gender, as it determines the nature of support and its reception. Finally, the need for personalised support was emphasised along with risks resulting from institutional discrimination. The role of local community was highlighted as it corresponds to the concept of community-based support and the need to promote various initiatives aimed at integration and normalisation of life for people with disabilities.

Opis:: During the past few years, the number of drones (unmanned aerial vehicles, or UAVs) manufactured and purchased has risen dramatically. It is predicted that it will continue to spread, making its use inevitable in all walks of life. Drone apps are therefore expected to overrun the app stores in the near future. The UAV’s software is not being studied/researched despite several active research and studies being carried out in the UAV’s hardware field. A large‐scale empirical analysis of Google Play Store Platform apps connected to drones is being done in this direction. There are, however, a number of challenges with drone apps because of the lack of formal and specialized app development procedures. In this paper, eleven drone app issues have been identified. Then we applied the DEMATEL (Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory) method to analyze the drone app issues (DIs) and divide these issues into cause and effect groups. First, multiple experts assess the direct relationships between influential issues in drone apps. The evaluation results are presented in spherical fuzzy numbers (SFN). Secondly, we convert the linguistic terms into SFN. Thirdly, based on DEMATEL, the cause‐effect classifications of issues are obtained. Finally, the issues in the cause category are identified as DI’s in drone apps. The outcome of the research is compared with the other variants of DEMATEL, like rough‐Z‐number‐ based DEMATEL and spherical fuzzy number, and the comparative results suggest that spherical fuzzy DEMA‐ TEL is the most fitting method to analyze the interrela‐ tionship of different issues in drone apps. The findings revealed that highest influenced values feature request (DI9 ) 3.12, Customer support (DI6) 2.91, Connection/Sync ((DI4) 2./72, Cellular Data Usage ((DI3) 2.51, Battery (DI2) 2.31, Advertisements ((DI1) – 0.3, Cost (DI5) – 0.5, Additional cost (D11) – 0.5, Device Compatibility (DI7) – 0.96, and Functional Error (DI10) – 1.2. The outcome of this work definitely assists the software industry in the successful identification of the critical issues where professionals and project managers could really focus.

Opis:: The main purpose of this article is to deal with the situation and implementation of Industry 4.0. The first part of the article is informative - it guides the reader with the evolution of industry (first - fourth industrial revolutions). The following part deals directly with Industry 4.0 and its characteristics. This concept focuses on digitization of all physical assets and integration into the digital ecosystem, including business partners within the value chain. Also, “pillars” on which Industry 4.0 relies, are presented here. The next part deals with Industry 4.0 initiative implementation. Eight crucial issues were selected here. The final part of the article proposes some solutions and suggestions for future implementation.

Opis:: Climate change is perceived as a threat to future human well-being and a challenge to sustainable development of local communities and economies world-wide. While some countries and regions are expected to experience slight gains from the climatic changes the other are exposed to major losses. Ever more frequent natural disasters come as warning symptoms of the changes. However, for the sake of effective and efficient adaptation in various world regions answers to the following questions are important: do people notice this changes, do they experience their negative effects, are they satisfied with the climate change mitigation and adaptation actions taken by the governments, are they willing to participate to contribute to these actions. The perceptions and attitudes towards these issues are important factors in effective and efficient implementation of climate policies. In order to contribute to this important goal a research was designed to elicit people’s perceptions of and attitudes towards climate change as well as related mitigation and adaptation policies in Poland and in Turkey. These two countries were chosen to cover the variety of climate conditions. The aim of the paper is to present and analyse the outcomes collected from the conducted national Internet surveys (N=156) on perceptions of climate change as well as social expectations regarding climate change solutions in both countries. Analysis of the survey results help to understand the problems and social needs related to climate change. The results were confronted with the state-of-the-art scientific literature as well as strategic policy documents and their evaluations’ reports to discuss the policy relevance of the findings and conclusions.
Zmiany klimatu są postrzegane jako zagrożenie dla przyszłego dobrobytu człowieka i wyzwanie dla zrównoważonego rozwoju lokalnych społeczności i gospodarek na całym świecie. Oczekuje się, że niektóre kraje i regiony odczują nieznaczne zyski ze zmian klimatycznych, podczas gdy inne są narażone na poważne straty. Coraz częstsze klęski żywiołowe są objawami ostrzegawczymi tych zmian. Jednak ze względu na efektywną i skuteczną adaptację do zmian klimatu w różnych regionach świata ważne są odpowiedzi na następujące pytania: Czy ludzie zauważają te zmiany? Czy odczuwają ich negatywne skutki? Czy są zadowoleni z działań łagodzących zmiany klimatyczne i działań adaptacyjnych podjętych przez rządy? Czy są chętni do udziału w tych działaniach? Postrzeganie i stosunek do tych kwestii są ważnymi czynnikami skutecznej i efektywnej realizacji polityki klimatycznej. Aby przyczynić się do realizacji tego ważnego celu, opracowano badania mające na celu poznanie percepcji i postaw ludzi wobec zmian klimatu oraz wobec polityk mających na celu łagodzenie skutków i adaptację do zmian klimatu w Polsce i Turcji. Te dwa kraje zostały wybrane ze względu na różnorodność warunków klimatycznych. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie i przeanalizowanie wyników przeprowadzonych ankiet internetowych w obu państwach (N = 156) na temat postrzegania zmian klimatycznych, a także oczekiwań społecznych dotyczących rozwiązań w zakresie łagodzenia zmian klimatu lub/i adaptacji do nich w obu krajach. Analiza wyników badań pomaga zrozumieć problemy i potrzeby społeczne związane ze zmianami klimatu. Rezultaty zostały skonfrontowane z najnowszą literaturą naukową, a także strategicznymi dokumentami politycznymi i raportami z ich ocen, aby omówić znaczenie tych wyników i wniosków dla polityki.

Opis:: The issue of restoration with the new adaptation of industrial architectural monuments is one of the most difficult tasks of the restoration industry, taking into consideration the specific character of these objects, the list of materials and structures used, the layout. In most cases, objects of restoration with a change in function are those industrial facilities which are located in the central regions of large cities made of brick and are architectural monuments of the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, that is, during the “construction boom” period. As a consequence, the restoration measures are aimed at such activities as strengthening and eliminating the emergency condition of footings, foundations and roofs; replacement and restoration of ceilings, brick masonry, restoration of the decor.
Problematyka restauracji oraz adaptacji zabytków architektury przemysłowej jest jednym z najtrudniejszych zadań, biorąc pod uwagę szeroko pojętą konserwację zabytków. Na proces ten wpływa bowiem specyfika obiektów poprzemysłowych, technologia ich wykonania, a także konstrukcja oraz układ funkcjonalno-przestrzenny. Warto także zwrócić uwagę, że w większości to właśnie obiekty postindustrialne, położone w centrach miast zabytkowych, są przedmiotem restauracji oraz adaptacji do nowych funkcji. Obiekty te, wzniesione z cegły, pochodzą w większości z okresu drugiej połowy XIX i początku XX wieku, tj. okresu tzw. „boomu budowlanego”. Proces ich restauracji oraz adaptacji opiera się m.in. na takich działaniach jak wzmocnienie i naprawa fundamentów i dachów; wymiana i renowacja sufitów, wzmocnienie murowanych ceglanych fasad oraz renowacja wystroju.

Opis:: W artykule wskazano, że obsługa logistyczna budownictwa drogowego jest mocno uwikłana w specyfikę tych przedsięwzięć. Specyficzne cechy realizacji procesów budowlanych w drogownictwie sprawiają, że zarządzanie projektami drogowymi jest bardziej skomplikowane niż innymi projektami. Przebieg procesów logistycznych stymu-lują w dużej mierze procesy realizacyjne, a w szczególności przyjęte rozwiązania technologiczno-organizacyjne. W związku z możliwością ujawniania się zagrożeń, wraz z postępem wykonawstwa prac budowlanych, w projektach drogowych pojawia się szereg ryzyk. Jako źródła ryzyka logistycznego można upatrywać: oszacowanie potrzeb materiałowych (ilościowe i jakościowe), zmiany warunków dostaw, zmienność cen materiałów, terminowość dostaw, system kontroli jakości materiałów, przestrzeganie przez dostawców norm technicznych, awarie maszyn i urządzeń, warunki przechowywania materiałów, zapasy, stosunki z kontrahentami. W zarządzaniu ryzykiem projektu przydatnym jest kontroling ryzyka. Pod lupą kontrolingu ryzyka powinny znaleźć się procesy logistyczne.
The article indicates that logistics service of road construction is strongly connected with a specificity of the projects. Specific features of road construction makes project management more complex in comparison to other projects. Logistics processes intensively stimulate project executing processes, in particular technological and organizational solutions. Due to some potential threats, with a progress of construction works execution, some risks appear in road projects. Estimation of material requirements (quantitative and qualitative), changes in supply conditions, materials price volatility, timeliness of deliveries, quality control system, materials suppliers' compliance with technical standards, machine and equipment failures, conditions of the storage of materials, stores, customer relationship. All these things can be origins of the logistics risk. In project risk management, risk controlling can be useful. Logistics processes have to be examined during an execution of risk controlling.

The assessment has been made according to the triad: scientific problem – methods – applications. Research areas have been characterized and research trends have been defined.
