The volume Abrindo rutas, expandindo caminos. Novas perspectivas nos estudos lingüísticos e literarios galegos contains twenty specialised articles in the field of Galician studies and the latest trends in the study of language, literature, culture, history, and translation, while emphasizing the complexity of the topics discussed. Here we find considerations on issues such as linguistic identity, inclusive language, history and etymology of the Galician language, migration, feminist literature, children’s and young adult literature, ecocriticism, translation, cultural heritage, etc. Both the topics covered and the areas of research represented are diverse, but as a whole they allow to appreciate the essence of Galician studies in the 21st century and confirm the belief that they have a certain and promising future.

Novas perspectivas nos estudos lingüísticos e literarios galegos recolle vinte artigos especializados con relación aos estudos sobre Galicia e ás últimas tendencias na investigación sobre a lingua, a literatura, a cultura, a historia e os estudos de tradución e, ao mesmo tempo, apuntan a complexidade dos temas abordados. Nesta obra arguméntase sobre temas como a identidade lingüística, a linguaxe inclusiva, a historia e etimoloxía da lingua galega, a migración, a literatura feminista, a literatura infantil e xuvenil, a ecocrítica, a tradución, o patrimonio cultural, etc. Tanto as temáticas como as áreas de estudo representadas son variadas, pero no seu conxunto permiten apreciar a situación dos estudos galegos no século XXI e dan a seguranza de que esta vertente ten un futuro garantido e prometedor.
Prezentowana monografia poświęcona jest najnowszym kierunkom badań z zakresu studiów galicyjskich, zwłaszcza z perspektywy dyscypliny językoznawstwa i literaturoznawstwa. Składa się na nią dwadzieścia rozdziałów autorstwa wybitnych badaczek i badaczy z prestiżowych zagranicznych ośrodków akademickich, w których prowadzone są studia nad językiem, kulturą i literaturą galisyjską.
