Opis:: Introduction Since 1 January 2016 certain groups of nurses and midwives (N&Ms) have been entitled to administer certain medicines to patients and issue perceptions for it (independent nurse prescribing - INP), issue prescriptions upon physician's order (supplementary nurse prescribing - SNP) and to refer patients to determined diagnostic tests. Students’ knowledge on the possibility and principles of nurse prescribing seems to be important. Aim of study To evaluate the knowledge of 1st year students of Bachelor’s studies in nursing and midwifery on the possibility and principles of prescribing authorities of N&Ms in Poland. Material and methods 2338 1st year students of Bachelor’s nursing (1941) and midwifery (398) studies from 26 state higher vocational schools of universities. Own questionnaire assessed in the pilot study; the internal reliability of measurement on the knowledge rating scale was estimated by calculating Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient Results Group of 11% to 64% (depending on a question) gave correct answers. 14 % knew criteria which N&Ms are required to meet in order to refer patients to diagnostic tests. Almost 2/3 of the interviewees also knew where to find the list of active substances allowed in medicines independently prescribed by N&Ms. The internal reliability of the knowledge rating scale was 0,389. Conclusions The knowledge of students regarding N&Ms’ prescribing powers is superficial, but most of respondents knew the crucial issues. It is necessary to correctly determine education standards and to focus on their implementation tools, so that those concerned could acquire desired competences during studies.

Opis:: The Most Holy Eucharist commemorates the agony, death and rising from the dead of the Son of God. The Eucharist is one of the most venerable and the most blessed sacraments which Jesus Christ appointed for man. Christ Himselfis contained in the sacrament. The Holy Eucharist is the source of life for the Church and it enables the Church to grow spiritually. Furthermore, the sacrament of the Eucharist constitutes the Church and determines its missionary purposes.Therefore, every Catholic should be aware of the fact he/she is obliged to take an active part in Holy Mass on Sunday and the Holy Days of Obligation, if they want to follow Jesus Christ faithfully in their life and fulfill the duties resultingfrom the call, in a manner corresponding to their vocation.

Opis:: Abstract: The article presents anti-corruption activities in Poland undertaken in relation to behaviours of a corrupt nature, as well as selected issues related to activities undertaken by the state aimed at limiting and counteracting them within the framework of the System for Combatting Corruption Crime. The text presents the state entities established for this purpose and presents the most important elements which are indispensable for carrying out effective preventive and detection activities against such behaviours. The article indicates what tasks are performed, inter alia, by the Police in the system of combatting corruption and what requirements are imposed on law enforcement bodies in this respect. Attention is also drawn to the necessity of strengthening the possibilities of cooperation between individual services in order to increase the effectiveness of counteracting this phenomenon.

All the Czech Republic laws that deal with the intellectual property term are reviewed here, not only from the perspective of the general definition of this term, but also with a special focus on specific forms of intellectual property. Some ambiguous or not so specific definitions, as well as the term intellectual property. are explained using specialized literature. The aim of the paper is to summarize individual definitions and to evaluate the state of Czech legislation with regard to intellectual property. The paper‘s conclusion is dedicated to individual recommendations and insufficiencies in relation to definitions of intellectual property in Czech legislation.

Opis:: “Today, organized crime is affecting every segment of our society. It is a disease which infects everything that comes into contact with it. It is an insult added to every law-abiding citizen. It is high time our governments made a note and, moreover, took immediate action. Perhaps tomorrow will be late.” Organized crime is a form of criminality manifestation, perhaps its most specific type. It is a phenomenon that causes horror as much as wonder about the way it works and, at the same time, a sort of lure for its mystery and the particular way of comprehension. For years and years it has inspired volumes of writing, plenty of which have become best-sellers, or have produced blockbusters, arousing amazing mass interest. That is because criminal organizations and their activity have been to society both a tangible everyday reality and a remote thing, beyond comprehension. Many authors have researched into organized crime and criminal organizations, pointing out their characteristics and specifics. They attribute such features to it as a perpetual connection of many people engaged in criminal activity, an organizational hierarchy with a great power of the leaders, the domination of rule and order, discipline and responsibility among the members, imposed solidarity, maintaining the secrecy of activity and of the organization, and the international character of their activity. Unfortunately, there are a large number of worldwide notorious criminal organizations. Over time, they have been discovered and studied by various criminologists, who have managed to provide sufficient information on the specific features of each of them, the activities on which they focus and the territories in which they operate. But what means should we use in order to face organized crime today? It is necessary that differentiated strategies be studied according to the type of the mafia organization against which a concrete operation is to be launched. The strategy should also be coordinated not only in national level but also internationally, because the international character of organized crime is already an established fact.

The COVID-19 pandemic as an opportunity for a permanent reduction in civil rights

Opis:: The Covid-19 pandemic has had far-reaching effects, which are primarily being felt in the functioning of the health service, the organization of social life, and the state of the national economy. But it is, nevertheless, worth paying attention to the legal and political consequences which are less obvious and noticeable for average citizens. One of the most important is the change in legislation which entails limiting civil liberties and rights. This article is on empirical proof of how Polish legislation is reducing fundamental rights. The authorities in combatting the pandemic are not using the solutions that appear in the Polish Constitution, but use the non-constitutional form of special laws. The author, therefore, when discussing the problem refers to US legislation and policy which has the notable example of the "Patriotic Act" which can be interpreted as being a pretext for limiting civil liberties in the name of combating terrorism. The authors conclude by stating that emergency situations, such as the current pandemic or the threat of terrorism, are used to permanently and significantly reduce civil rights.

La législation est un art. Le Révérent Professeur Remigiusz Sobanski, qui a analysé la législation particulière du diocèse de Katowice dans ses travaux scientifiques, le savait très bien. Ces analyses savantes lui ont permis de formuler de nombreuses remarques et commentaires, ainsi que des postulats concernant cette loi. Dans le présent article, l’attention est portée sur les aspects formels du droit légiféré abordés par le grand canoniste.

Opis:: This article aims to analyze the approach of Polish parliamentary parties to the anti-abortion legislation in 1991-2019 on the level of their ideological programmes. Classification of political parties concerning their ideological families has been proposed. Opis:: Many commentators attribute the decline of child labor in advanced economies to legislation prohibiting this practice. But another view asserts that the amount of child labor declined because rising affluence curbed the demand for and the supply of child laborers. Growing prosperity and cultural changes made it more convenient to educate children, thereby absolving the need for this practice. Although the decline of child labor is best explained by material prosperity, it will be demonstrated in this paper that not only can abolishing child labor be counterproductive, but in some cases, it is a vital platform for the accumulation of human capital. Did child labor all but end in advanced countries because of legislation prohibiting it? Or was it due to the fact that these economies were so well developed, so wealthy, that they could afford to keep youngsters in school instead? The former view is the most popular, the latter, the most correct, as we show in this paper.
