Opis:: Despite the shifting ideologies of gender of the seventeenth century, the arrival of the first actresses caused deep social anxiety: theatre gave women a voice to air grievances and to contest, through their own bodies, traditional gender roles. This paper studies two of the best-known actresses, Nell Gwyn and Anne Bracegirdle, and the different public personae they created to negotiate their presence in this all-male world. In spite of their differing strategies, both women gained fame and profit in the male-dominated theatrical marketplace, confirming them as the ultimate “gender benders,” who appropriated the male role of family’s supporter and bread-winner

Opis:: This article describes the experiences with the initiative to introduce IPv6 into Capgemini's datacenter environment, and to be more specific, the part of the project known as Phase 1: the preparation before actually doing so. Phase 1 comprises of training, testing and research of the IPv6 protocol and its features with the purpose to better understandthe consequences of the introduction of IPv6 in a datacenter environment. It was a specific choice to not deploy IPv6 in a production environment, and to build a dedicated test environment first (Proof of Concept). This test environment would accommodate most basic features of IPv6 to safely prepare us for the actual deployment. The technical results of the IPv6 experience were documented in a structured way, useable for future reference. Test results were also used as input to develop Capgemini best practices for IPv6 deployment.

Opis:: Progress of ICT is shifting the paradigm of systems organization towards a distributed approach, in which physical deployment of components influences the evaluation of systems properties. This contribution can be considered as a problem of graph layout optimization, well-known in literature where several approaches have been exploited in different application fields with different solving techniques. Then again, complex systems can be only studied by means of different formalisms which codification is the aim of language engineering. Telemaco is a tool that supports a novel approach for the application of graph layout optimizations to heterogeneous models, based on the OsMoSys framework and on the language engineering principles. It can cope with different graph-based formalisms by exploiting either their core graph nature or their different specialized features by means of language hierarchies. In this paper Telemaco is introduced together with its foundations and an example of application to Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) deployment.

Opis:: Dynamics of the spacecraft with giro-gravitational system of stabilisation, in which the pantograph design deployed in an orbit and containing on the end the concentrated mass is used as the gravitational stabilizer and the carrier of solar batteries, is investigated. Opis:: Despite regulatory and legal changes, women are persistently underrepresented in military organisations on peacekeeping missions. This article argues that part of the reason for this can be found in persistent stereotypical ideas about gender roles, and looks at the attitudes and experience of Polish military personnel who have been deployed on peacekeeping missions as evidence of this. However, witnessing other militaries stance on gender, where such stereotypes are still there, but not as entrenched, can cause personnel to contextualise if not question their own organisation’s stance on gender. Sixteen Polish military peacekeepers were interviewed in-depth about their experiences on peacekeeping missions as part of a European H2020 project, Gaming for Peace (GAP). The interviews were used to build scenarios for a digital role-playing game to develop soft skills among peacekeeping personnel, and these soft skills included gender awareness. This article analyses the interviews to explore the experience of gender for both men and women in the Polish military, and shows that there is an urgent need for the type of training in gender awareness that is part of GAP.

Opis:: RFID technology is being widely used in most areas that are supported by ERP systems. With the help of RFID tags and readers placed at various locations throughout a furniture company, the presence of various objects in the factory can be monitored in real time. Readers receiving information from RFID tags can transmit it directly into the system and create databases or initiate business processes. The basic resources that can be tracked using RFID are human and machine resources as well as warehoused inventories, spare parts, tools, semi-finished and finished products. The only condition that must be met by the tracked object is that it can be tagged. The furniture industry is continuously growing. With factories expanding to tens of thousands of square metres and employing thousands of workers, knowledge of who or what is where at any given time is very important for optimising plant operations. Being able to gain this knowledge in real time is very useful and saves a lot of resources over the long term. Monitoring of resources in an ERP system using RFID technology is very popular nowadays. The improvement of the implemented solution leads to an ever increasing degree of control. However, it is important to maintain it at an optimal level, because otherwise it may unnecessarily disturb employees in their daily duties or generate more work for them without returning a measurable benefit.
Technologia RFID znajduje zastosowanie w większości obszarów objętych wsparciem systemów ERP. Przy pomocy etykiet RFID i czytników umiejscowionych w najróżniejszych miejscach w przedsiębiorstwie meblarskim można w czasie rzeczywistym kontrolować obecność przeróżnych obiektów na terenie fabryki. Czytniki odbierające informacje z etykiet RFID mogą przekazywać ją bezpośrednio do systemu i tworzyć bazy danych lub rozpoczynać procesy biznesowe. Podstawowymi zasobami, które można poddać obserwacji przy pomocy RFID są zasoby ludzkie i maszynowe oraz magazynowane zapasy, części zamienne, narzędzia, półprodukty i wyroby gotowe. Jedynym warunkiem, który musi spełniać monitorowany obiekt jest możliwość oklejenia go etykietą. Przemysł meblarski rozwija się nieustannie, ze względu na rozbudowę fabryk do rozmiarów dziesiątek tysięcy metrów kwadratowych i zatrudnianiu w nich tysięcy pracowników wiedza o tym kto lub co gdzie znajduje się w danym momencie jest bardzo istotna dla optymalizacji pracy zakładu. Możliwość zdobycia tej wiedzy w czasie rzeczywistym jest bardzo użyteczna i pozwala oszczędzić wiele środków przy długim okresie eksploatacji. Monitorowanie zasobów w systemie ERP przy pomocy technologii RFID jest bardzo popularne w dzisiejszych czasach. Ulepszanie zaimplementowanego rozwiązania doprowadza do coraz większego wzrostu kontroli. Istotną kwestią jest jednak utrzymanie jej optymalnego poziomu, ponieważ w przeciwnym wypadku może ona niepotrzebnie przeszkadzać pracownikom w ich codziennych obowiązkach lub generować im większą ilość pracy bez zwracania wymiernej korzyści.

Opis:: The reliability of folding wing deployment performance greatly impacts flight vehicle reliability. Based on the dynamic analysis theory, the deployment dynamic model of folding wing mechanism with joint clearances is established and solved. Considering the failure correlation, the system reliability models are developed for both cases, without considering synchronization and considering synchronization. For the former, a solution method combining saddle point approximation and numerical integration is proposed. For the latter, an estimation method based on a combination of the fourth order moment Pearson distribution family and the numerical integration is proposed. The efficiency and accuracy of the proposed methods are verified through examples. In addition, the trend of the system reliability change when the distribution parameters of random variables are different is also analyzed. From the perspective of improving reliability, the above study can provide theoretical guidance and data support for the design, manufacturing and service process of the folding wing mechanism system.
