Opis:
Poland as a member country of the European Union participates in the creation of a common energy policy and implement EU legislation in the country. Basic directions of the Polish energy policy are: - improving energy efficiency; - diversify the structure of electricity generation; - increase security of fuel and energy; - the development of energy from renewable sources; - the development of competitive markets for fuels. For all these directions have been formulated specific aims. The issue of energy efficiency is treated as a priority. Its improvement is a priority in the EU's energy policy. The main objectives of energy policy in Poland shall be aiming at maintaining non-energy economic growth and reduce energy consumption in the Polish economy.

The results of an economic analysis, comprising approximately 350 types of shells made for tanks of nominal capacity ranging from 50 - , 80-, 100.000 m3 in view of the sort of constructional steel and overall dimensions of metal sheets used, are given. The analysis was carried out with respect to a wide variety of steel types from carbon steel St3S to low-alloy steel 18G2AV taking advantage of variable overall dimensions of width from 1.50 to 3.00 m and length of 6.0 - 12.0 m.

In the paper are shown the results of measurements of stress state in the real tank. The tests were performed with the utilisation of electroresistant tensometry methods. The object of the tests was a vertical tank with nominal capacity of 12.000 m3 and a floating roof. The tank had been operated incessantly for almost 40 years. The shape deformation of the shell generating line was very large. This deformation fluctuated in the range from –170 to +150mm. The measurements of the stress state were used for verifying the values obtained by numerical analysis of the deformed cylindrical shell.

Opis:
Herein, we developed a simple procedure for synthesizing micrometersized microgel particles as a suspension in an aqueous solution and thin films deposited as shells on different inorganic cores. A sufficiently high constant potential was applied to the working electrode to commence the initiator decomposition that resulted in gelation. Under hydrodynamic conditions, this initiation allowed preparing different morphology microgels at room temperature. Importantly, neither heating nor UV-light illumination was needed to initiate the polymerization. Moreover, thin films of the cross-linked gel were anchored on different core substrates, including silica and magnetic nanoparticles. Scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy imaging confirmed the microgel particles’ and films’ irregular shape and porous structure. Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy indicated that the core coating with the microgel film was successful. Dynamic light scattering measured the micrometer size of gel particles with different combinations of acrylic monomers. Thermogravimetric analysis and the first-derivative thermogravimetric analysis revealed that the microgels’ thermal stability of different compositions was different. Fourier-transform infrared and 13C NMR spectroscopy showed successful copolymerization of the main, functional, and cross-linking monomers.

Opis:
This paper discusses the encouragement of creativity and innovation in creating opportunities for entrepreneurship turning useless materials into valuable resources. It is necessary to know the thought process and planning in the entrepreneurship idea to create a new business at this time. One of the brilliant philosophies about entrepreneurs is that they are those who can “turn garbage into gold”. This concept describes the important character of entrepreneurs who foresee business opportunities and have the intelligence to transform trash into cash. This means that they have the necessary ability to create innovation and value-added products for sale. The analyzed case study involves innovation in using fisheries waste specifically derived from crab industries in Indonesia. The study presents empirical perspectives including (1) potential business of crab shell waste (2) technology in innovative use of shell to added value product (3) business analysis and commercialization. Ultimately, we present the concept of a new business by linking theories of entrepreneurial innovation and technology transfer in order to gain environmental balance.

Opis:
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki analiz numerycznych cylindycznych powłok z regularnymi imperfekcjami geometrycznymi. Wyniki przedstawiono dla powłok o promieniu zakrzywienia R=10 i 30 m. Zostały zaprezentowane wyniki dla imperfekcji symetrycznych i niesymetrycznych. Wyniki zostały porównane do wartości odpowiadających powłokom idealnym. EN: In the paper results of numerical analysis of cylindrical shell with regular shape imperfections are presented. The analysis were made on the cylindrical shell of radius R=10 and R=30 m. Two types of imperfections were tested: - axisymmetric type imperfections (A-F) - circumferential type imperfections (G-H) – sinus and elliptical type. The results there analysis were compared with the results for a perfect shell. Results analysis indicated that circumferential imperfection generate large changes in the distribution internal forces and stresses.

A design for an oil tank of 75 000 m3 capacity has been discussed. The tank is an ecologically safe object with respect to its use of a double shell and a double bottom with a monitoring system of some possible leakages. Other new solutions in relation to the ones currently in use have also been employed.
