Opis:
The article describes the main classifications of learning methods from the viewpoint of their application in distance learning of programming. From there, the following classifications are considered: classification by the methods of training material presenting, classification by the main types of didactic problems, and classification by the kinds of cognitive activity of students. Also, the article characterizes the level of skills and ability needed to solve programming training tasks: reproductive, meaningful, probative, and creative programming. The following didactic particularities of approaches to learning of programming are defined: focusing on material covering, algorithms, and on hardware.

The paper is based on personal 20-years experience of teaching methodology of grounded theory and qualitative methods. In the following paper I would like to show the usefulness of visual analysis in teaching methodology of grounded theory. A very important tool is to use pictures and a sequencing of pictures, which give a comparative insight into empirical data and teaches the comparative method that is so important to generate theory (Glaser 1965; Glaser, Strauss, 1967; Glaser 1978). Students can learn how to compare and find patterns in empirical instances, which have visual character. Some of the sequences show stages of action and the sequence that all together is a linear representation of activity. Sequence of pictures helps to build the pattern that is conceptual understanding of the phenomena being studied. In other case, the sequences of pictures given to students are not planned. They are almost accidentally created and force students to find patterns by means of the comparative analysis. We should always know what had happened before a picture was taken as well as afterwards, it is similar to sequences analysis in textual data (Silverman 2007). We should always be aware of the context of analysed activity. Students are also encouraged to make a theoretical sampling and saturate categories using data from photos and other visual data. This helps them to proceed with the research from empirical incidents to conceptually elaborated properties of categories and finally to the definition of category and formulating the hypotheses. In this way they learn visual grounded theory that is using the visual images for generating categories, properties and hypotheses and also for presenting results of analysis in the final report.

Opis:
The authors substantiate the expediency of using video lessons and their fragments in the process of forming future teachers’ professional competency. The elaborated library includes video recordings of real mathematics lessons at primary school and videos of pupils solving certain types of problems with full commentaries, structured by classes and topics. The methods of using the video library by educators in the field Methods of Teaching Mathematics in Primary School and students majoring in specialty 013 Primary Education were developed. The effectiveness of using the video library as a means of teaching the course Methods of Teaching Mathematics in Primary School was verified experimentally by introducing it into the educational process of three Ukrainian universities.

Opis:
The article is devoted to the last years of the life of the outstanding Polish lawyer Juliusz Makarewicz. After 1944, he stayed in Lviv, despite incentives to leave for Wrocław. The memories of his pupils and letters to his family show that he did not see any difference between post-war Poland and Soviet Lviv. In 1946, he made efforts to teach at the Faculty of Law of the sovietised University of Lviv. He was accepted as a non-regular professor. He lectured on the criminal law of the bourgeois countries. Soon after, proceedings were initiated against him, accusing him of not evaluating the bourgeois criminal law from the point of view of the communist criminal law. In a letter addressed to the Ministry of Education in Moscow on 7 April, 1947, Juliusz Makarewicz explained why he had been lecturing using an encyclopaedic method rather than a comparative one. Throughout his life, he had been conducting comparative research on criminal law, giving lectures using the comparative method, and in Soviet Lviv he had discussed the criminal law of the so-called bourgeoisie, i.e. the democratic west, in an encyclopaedic way. Only in this way could he remain true to his views. The appendix to the article constitutes the content of the letter written by Juliusz Makarewicz to the Ministry of Education in Moscow.

The following article shows the usage of new technology in the widely understood music teaching in schools of general profile. Innovative usage of electronic keyboard instruments in music lessons on a significant level expands children’s and teenagers’ musicality and music sensitivity, which was proven with research and observations. The usage of new tools by an educator will influence the quality of performed service so that they can meet the criteria that support the course of lesson. Children’s and teenagers’ music education process needs to be expanded with multimedia and their practical application in music lessons, which is the result of the changes in the young multimedia society. Afterwards the author of this article will reveal methods of working with the digital instruments and methods of their usage by music teachers during didactical lessons. The article also brings up the problem issues concerning theory of interrelations and music education methodology, digital music instruments and methods of their adaptation during music lessons.

Opis:
Pawel Krzyworzeka
The authors – two anthropologists and an organisational theorist, all organisational ethnographers – discuss their understanding and practices of organisational ethnography (OE) as a way of imagining and reflect on how similar this understanding may be for young organisational researchers and students in particular. The discussion leads to the conclusion that OE may be regarded as a methodology but that it has a much greater potential when it is reclaiming its roots: to become a mode of doing social science on the meso-level. The discussion is based on an analysis of both historical material and the contemporary learning experiences of teaching OE as more than a method to our students.
