    Opis:
    The paper focuses on the value of work from the point of view of prospective and active teachers. Referring to the emancipatory and axiological understanding of the categories of work and value of work, a study in the qualitative paradigm was conducted among 196 teachers and candidates to become teachers. The method of text analysis of essays and diaries was used to answer the following research question: What values are assigned to work by prospective and professionally active teachers? The research material was analysed regarding the category of work as understood by W. Dróżka. The purpose of it was to show similarities and differences in the values assigned to work by different age groups and students at different stages of teacher training and active teachers. These values were generated by certain professional experience or image of the work. The conclusions focus on practical solutions that may be applied to teacher education.

    Work is of primary value in a person’s life, as, over the course of a lifetime, it occupies more than half of adulthood. Its meaning has individual value for every person. With respect to the research conducted so far, this article presents the values that arise from performing work by elderly people. The experience of professional work has made it possible to distinguish such values as: meaning of life, responsibility, loyalty, trust, education and development.
    Praca jest naczelną wartością w życiu człowieka. W biegu jego życia zajmuje ona ponad połowę życia osoby dorosłej. Jej znaczenie ma indywidualną wartość dla każdego człowieka. W prezentowanym artykule, w odniesieniu do dotychczas prowadzonych przeze mnie badań, wskazano wartości, jakie wypływają z wykonywania dla osób starszych pracy. Doświadczenia pracy zawodowej pozwoliły na wyodrębnienie takich wartości jak: poczucie sensu życia, odpowiedzialność, lojalność, zaufanie, edukacja i rozwój.

    Values transferred and cherished by mothers in the rural families in the Polish Second Republic

    In the Polish Second Republic, so in the country rebom afiter one hundred twenty three years of captivity, the role of a woman as a woman-mother, was significantly emphasized. Press, literature, researchers have proved that safety and order in the whole country depend on safety and order in individual families. The key notion became: „from education of a mother to education of a child”. While analyzing sources such as newspapers, magazines, diaries, guidebooks, I noticed the following values for which mothers in rural families were held to be responsible: 1 ,value of work connected with obligation in farm and household, so role of mother asahousewife; 2.the value of the family as a community and the mother's role in it. Mother was the first protector, tutor, patron of a child. Mother took care of child and other members in the family, she helped them, she guaranteed the positive atmosphere at home, took care of safety in a wide context. It was significant that mother appealed in the process of socialization to common traditions and experiences; 3.value of education and social consciousness, so the role of the mother in shaping social consciousness; 4.patriotic value, so the role of the mother in shaping patriotic attitude.

    The Role of Global Value Chains for Worker Tasks and Wage Inequality

    Opis:
    This paper studies the relationship between global value chain (GVC) participation, worker-level routine task intensity (RTI), and wage inequality within countries. Using survey data from 34 countries and instrumenting for GVC participation, we find that higher GVC participation contributes to higher wage inequality in high-income countries and lower wage inequality in middle- and low-income countries. We distinguish between two opposite-working channels. Firstly, participation in GVCs directly reduces wage inequality, suppressing wages in offshorable occupations that tend to earn above the country-specific median, and increasing wages of non-offshorable occupations. Secondly, it indirectly widens within-country wage inequality by increasing the gap in RTI, which is negatively associated with wages, between offshorable and non-offshorable occupations. The direct effect prevails in most low- and middle-income countries that receive offshored jobs, and the indirect effect prevails in high-income countries that offshore jobs.

    The aim of the article is to present the concept, symptoms, causes and effects of the functioning of the unobserved economy and then to analyze its size and structure on the basis of statistical data and estimated values in various sections. The second part also presents the following issues: unobserved economy in Poland compared to other countries, illegal activity, methods of limiting the unobserved economy, the issue of counterfeit goods, change trends and new phenomena in the unobserved economy.
    Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie pojęcia, przejawów oraz przyczyn i skutków funkcjonowania gospodarki nieobserwowanej, a następnie analiza jej wielkości oraz struktury na podstawie danych statystycznych i wielkości szacunkowych w różnych przekrojach. W tej drugiej części zaprezentowano ponadto następujące zagadnienia: gospodarka nieobserwowana w Polsce na tle innych krajów, działalność nielegalna, sposoby ograniczania gospodarki nieobserwowanej, kwestia podróbek towarów, tendencje zmian i nowe zjawiska w gospodarce nieobserwowanej.
