Opis:
Usage of the word ‘contemporary’ in the title of this article persuades to think of issues which were undertaken by editors of this volume: is emotiveness belong only to texts published by contemporary media, or do we have to accept her limitation to media discourse, or would it be considered in wilder terms and draw attention to variety of ongoing discourses. From this point of view it undoubtedly attracts attention to religious language (characteristic for particular countries and contemporary used), which is still undefined and fragmentarily described. From this perspective author analyses the hagiography language which is included in the most recent edition of Bulgarian monastery on the Saint Athos Mount. The author wonders how influential the exigence of contemporary recipient can be or how the writing tradition. Cited numerous examples try to prove that the religious language of Bulgaria is traditional and refers to inheritance of Old Church Slavonic.

This article is a second part of the series of texts on organs in Montenegro, in which the organs from St Nicholas’ Church and the Church of Our Lady of the Rock in Perast will be described. The description of these instruments will include their basic presentation in the context of the organ building trends in this part of Europe. Organs as a special musical instrument are an important example of the material heritage of musical culture. Montenegro, being a predominantly Orthodox country in which instrumental and vocal-instrumental music is not performed, cannot claim a large number of organs. However, their significant proportion includes historically noteworthy instruments.

The aim of his article was to show the meaning of the Christian Tradition in the Transfer of Divine Revelation. Due to it the Revelation is transferred into history. The Tradition is means for it. The Transfer of the Revelation in tradition is performed with reference to work and God’s words. As said, that each supernatural Revelation is realized in the form of God’s action, which accompanies word. As a form of Revelation this God’s action in a way exists in the Church transferring and realizing it. The Tradition does not reveal new contents, does not add something to the Divine Revelation, but it makes public and makes present, what has been revealed in Christ practice. This way, The Divine Revelation is present in the Tradition.

Montenegro became a union republic of the Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia (1945–1992) after the Second World War and the political changes and wars in the Balkans at the turn of the 20th and 21st century. Montenegro proclaimed its independence on 3rd June 2006. As an independent state, this former republic of socialist Yugoslavia takes action to gather and scientifically describe its remarkable cultural heritage. In 2019 Cetinje Academy of Music, which is part of the University of Montenegro, decided to carry out a scientific project aimed at depicting this entire cultural heritage. Folk culture and Orthodoxy are the dominant features of this whole opus, thus it is not surprising that cultural products are mostly associated with these two cultural factors. Catholics constitute a group of about 3.5%, which amounts to a relatively small number of believers. Though they are a small community, they also left their mark on culture. One of the important factors in the Catholic worship is the pipe organ. The article is the first part of a series of texts dedicated to the organ in Montenegro, in which the organ from St. Tryphon's Cathedral in Kotor and from the parish church of Our Lady Help of Christians in Muo is described. The presentation of these instruments comprises their history and description as well as contemporary and archival photographs. The contemporary instrument in St. Tryphon’s Cathedral in Kotor is a small contemporary instrument which comes from the German organmaster’s factory Fischer + Krämer. The factory was founded in Schlatt, near Bad Krozingen, in 1970. The firm builds its instruments with mechanical key actions in wood and their pipe measurements are based on the Baden-Alsace tradition of Stieffell and also on the pattern of Andreas and Johann Andreas Silbermann. However, the history of the organ in Kotor Cathedral is relatively well documented and has been depicted by musicologists from the former Yugoslavia. The organ preserved in the church of Our Lady Help of Christians in Muo is, in its construction, an instrument belonging to the Dalmatian-Italian tradition of the organ building, which derived from Domenico Moscatelli’s factory. It was built in 1784 in Zadar and brought to Muo in 1880. The organ is a mechanical instrument containing Italian sound concept and stop naming. Its current condition is disastrous. The organ requires special care due to the fact that it reflect a substantial document of European organ building’s trends. Respect for music in its material (an instrument with a beautiful organ front) and spiritual (beauty of sounds) dimensions is required. Therefore, Boka Kotorska is not only a charming, mountainous and seaside resort, but also a place with a vital role in the contemporary account of the material heritage of Montenegrin culture.

The purpose of this article is an attempt to characterize the category of corporeality in the poetry by Vera Pavlova and to identify its sources. The analysis shows that this category is realized in different images and motifs, becoming the dominant poetics. In her works, the carnality is not limited to describing the man but it turns out to be an important, universal code that allows you to see the world in terms of unity and organicity. In this respect, Pavlova’s aesthetic exploration resembles the acmeist and – more distant – an ancient tradition.

Opis:
The article looks at how the mannerist tradition has influenced a seventeenth century long poem Poema de vanitate mundi by German Jesuit poet Jacob Balde (1604–1668). The paper starts with a general introduction about the author and the poem itself. De vanitate mundi has been described as a part of the mannerist tendencies occurring in different times and places (like the importance of conceit in formulating artistic texts or the role of formal means including extensive enumeratio and experimental cutting out of the syllables), as well as shows these features of it which can be directly connected to emblematic tradition of the early modern period. It focuses on three aspects of this tradition. Firstly – the unconventional role of the image in De vanitate mundi with particular emphasis on its connection to the surrounding printed text; secondly – the variety of paraphrases which form a complex, multi-genre structure of the poem; finally – the influence elogium (a phenomenon directly connected to emblem) must have had on Baldes work. The emblematic tradition has been described as a composite of different tendencies rather than a normative and stable entity. The article aims at tracing this variety of tendencies in Balde poem. Particularly, the Jesuit (or modelled according to Jesuit habits) meditative emblem cycles are presented here as a source of the structure of De vanitate mundi. Also, the article emphasizes how the Jesuit culture influenced the shape and form of De vanitate mundi (e.g. the role of dramatic elements within the paraphrases, the meditative character of the poem or its didactic values).

Opis:
This text is an attempt to share the experience and observations resulting from a one-year pedagogic seminar conducted for students attending extramural courses at the Institute of Pedagogy at the University ofWrocław, between 2005 and 2008. The theme of the family and its multidimensional depictions discussed as part of the seminar was subjected to an in-depth analysis within the framework of the historical and anthropological context. Didactic and educational purposes, as well as research methods were set forth. The seminar gave rise to dozens of dissertations on the family and the traditions it cultivates. The said studies embraced life stories of a few generations, starting from the late great-grandparents and grandparents to the contemporary family members, including the authors and their children, thus giving an interesting account of the twentieth century history and the changes in the family structure. Students pointed out that family bonds were both restored and tightened as a result of collecting materials and holding conversations. Furthermore, while gathering materials and drafting their dissertations, students became aware of the fact that each and every person contributes to shaping history and is responsible for what constitutes the present and the future of not only his/ her family or local community, but at times also the homeland.

Opis:
The Sacrament of Holy Orders belongs to one of the most essential mysteries given to us by Jesus Christ. Apostolic succession handed down to the Church is a guarantee of the continuity of tradition and proof of the authenticity of Christian worship focused on the continuously present Lord. Even if liturgical functions are common to the Church as a whole, different liturgical traditions elaborated their own understanding of the sacrament and related ministry. This paper is a reflection on the essence of the ministry of a presbyter in the liturgical space of the Syrian Churches. The author starts by presenting their understanding of the sacrament and its validity and next discusses the structure of the rites in both West and East Syrian traditions. The last part of the presentation contains a theological reflection concerning the main consecratory prayer of Ordination to the Presbyterate.

Opis:
Šāh-nāma of Firdowsī and the naqqāli tradition are two distinctive traditions of Iran. Šāh-nāma, an epic that tells the story of pre-Islamic Iran, focuses on a heroic narrative. The naqqāli’s distinctive feature, against the background of other oral traditions, is the combination of heroic and religious narrative in order to spread Shiism in a way that is interesting to the audience. Ferdowsī's work and the naqqāli tradition represent two periods in Iran’s history and its traditions and culture. These periods are separated by the Islamic invasion and the fall of the Sasanid dynasty. Despite some ideological differences, the Šāh-nāma was for a number of centuries one of the sources for naqqāli and from the early period of the Pahlavi dynasty became its main focus. The article briefly discusses the naqqāli tradition, Šāh-nāma of Firdowsī and the relationship between the two. It also introduces the figure of Gordāfarid, daughter of Gaždaham, who, being the heroine of the Persian national epic, became the inspiration for a revolutionary change in the naqqāli tradition – the first naqqāl woman.
