Opis:
The article analyzes the significanceof attachment relations for the ability to enter into close relations in the human life cycle. The secure attachment style which develops on the basis of the primordial relation between mother (or a guardian) and the child in the firststages of life is the cornerstone of future intimate relations and a resource which facilitates successful dealing with developmental tasks in interpersonal dependency relations. During the childhood, it contributes to the development of the relation of trust and dependence, during the adolescence to the growth of new extra-family relations and in adulthood to the co-creation with the partner of an intimate love relationship.

Opis:
Mentalization is a form of social cognition that enables to perceive and interpret human behaviour in terms of intentional mental states (Frith & Frith, 2003) and is influenced by social context (e.g., O’Connor and Hirsch, 1999). Hence, we examined mentalization related to specific attachment relationships (Bowlby, 1969; Fraley, 2007). This study involved 115 participants (85% female) who reported their relationship-specific (ECR-RS; Fraley et al., 2011) and global attachment styles (ECR; Brennan, Clark, Shaver, 1998), and perspective-taking tendency towards their attachment figures (IRI-PT subscale; Davis, 1983). Reading the Mind in the Eyes Task-Revised (Baron-Cohen et al., 2001) was used as a proxy for mentalization disregarding relationships. The results showed that perspective-taking was associated with relationship-specific attachment avoidance (rs > -.29; all ps < .01) whereas global characteristics of mentalization were not related to attachment quality. Our findings indicate that the link between attachment quality and mentalization is relationship-specific.

Attachment style and partner relationships in early adulthood In the presented study I examined the role of women’s attachment styles at different family development stages for their quality of life. A study involving 180 women in the stages of: engagement, marriage bond formation and the development of parenting styles was conducted. The Attachment Styles Questionnaire by M. Plopa and Satisfaction with Life Scale SWLS in the adaptation of Z. Juczyński were used in the study.Statistical analysis showed the women’s attachment style correlates with satisfaction with life at all stages of family development. The growing importance of the secure attachment style in different stages of development was noted. Avoidant attachment style was associated with satisfaction with life among the brides, and women in the phase of parental attitudes development. Ambivalent attachment style is negatively correlated with satisfaction with life only during the phase of the marital bond development

Opis:
The aim of this study was to explore the subject of place attachment and connected factors (such as social trust, attachment style and anxiety) in the context of enforced isolation caused by world pandemic COVID-19. For this purpose a longitudinal study was conducted, in the first part of which 127 people were examined, and 35 in second. During the survey were used: Place Attachment Scale, General Trust Scale, Relationship Questionnaire, and STAI -X1 Questionnaire. The study confirmed the negative relationship between place attachment and anxiety: the higher the level of anxiety, the lower the strength of place attachment. This relationship was also found to be stable over time and significant during both the first and third lockdown.

Opis:
The presented research aimed to check how, depending on different experiences in the relationship with parents during childhood, young adults function in an intimate relationship. The style of attachment to a partner was the key research category. For this purpose, the Plopa Questionnaire of Attachment Styles and survey questions were used, which allowed estimating the total index of parents’ availability. 71 people (female 50,7%) in early adulthood participated in the study. Data collection was carried out in direct contact. The results showed that a higher level of accessibility of both parents in childhood coexists with a greater intensity of the secure style of attachment to a partner in an intimate relationship. The level of parents’ availability in childhood does not correlate with unsecured styles of attachment to a partner, both among adults coming from postdivorce and full families.

Opis:
Debatably about classification and measurement of attachment patternsAdult attachment patterns are usually based on two orthogonal dimensions (Bartholomew, Horowitz, 1991; Fraley, Shaver, 2000). This results in creating four qualitatively different types. Also four attachment patterns are educed by means of Adult Attachment Interview (Hesse, 1999). However results of classifying attachment patterns based on those three methods are only partially analogical. Since it is assumed that attachment patterns are continued throughout development (Bowlby, 2007/1982; Hazan, Shaver, 1987), four adult attachment patterns should relate to four attachment patterns among children (A, B, C – Ainsworth et al., 1971; and D – Main et al., 1985). This is not so (or at least it is questionable). The author contends with regard to Bowlby (2007/1982), Bartholomew and Horowitz (1991), that child’s experiences of attachment–care are the basis of internal working models of Self–other people relation. Those models should be characterized with three dimensions: trustlack of trust, dependence–independence and activity–passivity. The trust–lack of trust dimension allows to differentiate between secure and insecure attachment patterns (B and nB), whereas two other dimensions are used to classify four insecure attachment patterns. Intersection of dependence–independence dimension with activity–passivity dimension results in four insecure attachment patterns (fearful, dismissive, preoccupied, possessive). These patterns are developed sequentially throughout three stages of child development, analogous to E. Erikson’s. The article also presents „P–Questionnaire”, a method that allows to measure three attachment dimensions based on respondents’ romantic relationship functioning self-description.

Opis:
Introduction and aim. Nomophobia is fear of being without a cell phone or being unable to use one. This paper investigated the effect of friendship attachment on nomophobia in adolescents. Material and methods. This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in five high schools in the Central Anatolia Region of Türkiye. The sample consisted of 1033 adolescents. Data were collected using a personal information form, the Adolescent Friendship Attachment Scale, and the Nomophobia Questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using parametric tests such as One-Way ANOVA and Independent Sample t-Test, with Bonferroni tests for post-hoc comparisons. Results. The majority of participants were girls (58.3%), lived in nuclear families (76.2%). Most students used their smartphones for 2-4 hours daily (40.3%), and were active on social media (86%). The study found significant differences in phone usage time and friend attachment scores among different age groups. Women had higher friend attachment scores and nomophobia scores compared to men. Social media use was associated with higher nomophobia and friend attachment scores. Conclusion. Adolescents’ smartphone uses characteristics influence their nomophobia levels and friendship attachment styles. Professionals should plan interventions to raise adolescents’ awareness of nomophobia.

Opis:
The aim of the current study was to analyze the predictive value of women’s individual differences such as age, attachment style, self-esteem, and anxiety levels in the context of emotional attachment to the prenatal child in various situations of risk. The study involved women in the second and third trimesters of healthy and high-risk pregnancies – fetal malformation or other complications and obstetric risks. The study used the Maternal-Fetal Attachment Scale (MFAS), the Attachment Styles Questionnaire (Kwestionariusz Stylów Przywiązaniowych, KSP), the Self- Esteem Scale (SES), and the State and Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) Regression analysis showed that maternal age was significantly related to attachment to the child when diagnosed with a congenital malformation. In situations of pregnancies with other risks, the intensity of the maternal-fetal attachment and its components was significantly related to the mother’s self-esteem and attachment style. However, in healthy pregnancies, the secure style was related to the intensification of select aspects of prenatal attachment. Trait and state anxiety were revealed to not be statistically significant for the maternal-fetal attachment. As women age, they have increasing difficulties accepting the autonomy of a child with a diagnosed congenital defect. Low self-esteem of the mother and insecure attachment styles may be detrimental to MFA in situations where the risks during pregnancy are due, for example, to the mother’s health. The secure attachment style allows for predicting a greater intensity of various aspects of the prenatal attachment when the pregnancy is not at risk.

Opis:
Children at-risk are defined as children who may be found in physical, mental, or emotional situations of risk. Attachment theory assumes a connection between the origin family’s experiences and the attachment patterns in the relations with another person, and many research studies have found that the attachment between the parent and the child has a main role in the child’s normal development. The psychodrama group is one method of intervention that seeks to treat psychological and social problems through drama and provides the child with holding, security, and protection. The children act figures related to problems that trouble them and thus free themselves from distresses and drives and learn to see and understand the self and other people and to create beneficial patterns of behavior and attachment. Treatment with psychodrama has been found to be very effective in work with children who experience distress, both with themselves and with society.

Opis:
The seeking of a lifetime partner/spouse, establishing and maintaining close relationships are central developmental tasks in young adulthood. In successful achievement of these tasks relational competences may play a crucial role, thus making it reasonable to study their conditions. This article provides a theoretical and empirical analysis of the relationship between relational competences and attachment style, relationship status, and gender. It presents a study of a normal sample of 423 young adults, aged 20-35, who completed The Questionnaire of Relational Competences in Intimate Relationships, Revised Adult Attachment Scale, and Demographic Questionnaire. The analysis of the data revealed that in the description of various relational competences all three factors play an important role. It has also turned out that the association between relational competences and attachment style is influenced by the circumstances pertaining to relationship status.
