Opis:: In this paper we describe a new measure of remoteness between sets described by nominal values. The introduced measures of perturbation of one set by another are considered instead of commonly used distance between two sets. The operations of the set theory are operated and the considered measures describe changes of the perturbed second set by adding the first one or vice versa. The values of the measure of sets’ perturbation are range between 0 and 1, and in general, are not symmetric – it means that the perturbation of one set by another is not the same as the perturbation of the second set by the first one.

Opis:: This paper investigates the robust soft variable structure (RSVS) control technique for perturbed singular systems with constrained input control. The aim of the RSVS control law, in addition to achieving desirable control performance for the constrained input, is the robust stability of the closed-loop system in the presence of perturbation. In this paper, the RSVS control for perturbed singular systems is designed for two cases. First, it is assumed that the perturbation term vanishes at the origin. In this case, the proposed RSVS controller leads to asymptotic stabilization of the perturbed singular system. In the second case, the perturbed singular systems with non-vanishing perturbation are considered and the robustness of RSVS is also investigated. In this situation, the proposed controller guarantees practical stability of the perturbed singular system. Finally, computer simulations are provided for two examples to verify the theoretical results.

Opis:: The present paper deals with investigations of a stochastic model of the Duffing oscillator operating continuously. The standart theory of the optimal stochastic control described in Fleming and Richel (1975) is presented, as well as the application of these concept to the perturbation control techniques suggestes by Suhardio et al. (1992). The method presented in this paper is, therefore, a generalization of the method of the development of nonlinear control units into a series, as described for Duffing's deterministic oscillator involving stochastic system derived by the author and applied in his master thesis (Nowoświat, 1999). Detailed analysis and numerical calculations have been done using the Runge-Kutta procedures.
W pracy zaproponowano metodę perturbacji dla sterowania układów dynamicznych z wymuszeniami o charakterze białych szumów Gaussowskich i kryteriami w przestrzeni funkcji gęstości prawdopobieństw. Przy wyznaczaniu współczynników sterowania, jak również współczynników funkcji Lapunowa, korzysta się z równania Bellmana. Tak wyznaczone współczynniki niezbędne są do minimalizacji funkcji kosztów I. Szczegółową analizę i obliczenia numeryczne wykonano za pomocą procedur Rungego-Kutty.

Although the article does not include research published during the past twenty years or so, it provides a nice account of the stability of the spectrum under approximation (or perturbation). Vol. I, Pitman, Boston, MA, 1982; MR0676127] and the subsequent publications of those authors.

Opis:: The paper presents a procedure for computation of the limit loads of imperfection-sensitive shells including plastic deformations. On the basis of strain energy of shells, the worst case scenario for critical perturbations at fixed load levels is investigated. Limit loads of cylindrical and conical shells under combined actions are compared to European design rules. The concept is applied to more general buckling cases of combined shell structures.
W pracy przedstawiono metodę wyznaczania obciążeń granicznych dla powłok wrażliwych na niedoskonałości, z uwzględnieniem odkształceń plastycznych. Opierajac się na energii odksztalcenia powłok rozważono przypadek najgorszego scenariusza krytycznych perturbacji przy ustalonych poziomach obciążeń. Wartości obciążeń granicznych dla powłók cylindrycznych i stożkowych porównano z przyjętymi w Europie metodami projektowania. Koncepcja została zastosowana do analizy bardziej ogólnych przypadków utraty stateczności konstrukcji powłokowych.

Opis:: We investigate eigenvalue perturbations for a class of infinite tridiagonal matrices which define unbounded self-adjoint operators with discrete spectrum. In particular we obtain explicit estimates for the convergence radius of the perturbation series and error estimates for the Quantum Rabi Model including the resonance case. We also give expressions for coefficients near resonance in order to evaluate the quality of the rotating wave approximation due to Jaynes and Cummings. .

Opis:: In this paper we study the Borel summability of formal solutions with a parameter of first order semilinear system of partial differential equations with n independent variables. In [Singular perturbation of linear systems with a regular singularity, J. Dynam. Control. Syst. 8 (2002), 313-322], Balser and Kostov proved the Borel summability of formal solutions with respect to a singular perturbation parameter for a linear equation with one independent variable. We shall extend their results to a semilinear system of equations with general independent variables.

Opis:: In the paper two classes of nonlinear dynamical system with perturbations are considered. The sufficient conditions for robust Lagrange and practical stability are proven with theorems, applying the theory of nonlinear operators of the functional analysis. The presented criteria give also the bounds of the analyzed dynamical processes. Three examples comparing the numerical computer solutions and the analytical investigation of the stability of the systems are given. The method can be applied to analytical and computer modeling of nonlinear dynamical systems, synthesis of computer control and optimization.
