Opis:
Aim/purpose – The aim of the paper is to introduce a concept for measuring effectiveness of communication in project teams, taking into account 19 effectiveness aspects which enables to evaluate individual communication effectiveness of each team member, the overall communication effectiveness of a team or organization and to compare teams or organizations for communication effectiveness. The results of a small scale study serve as a proof of the proposed concept comprising the questionnaire and the way of presenting its results. Design/methodology/approach – First, a list of communication effectiveness aspects is proposed, based on a literature review. They are additionally grouped into aspects dependent on the sender, the recipient, and both. On the basis of the identified communication effectiveness aspects a questionnaire for measuring the level of communication effectiveness is prepared and the way of presenting its results is demonstrated on a small scale research sample. The case study is used to validate the presented concept. Findings – The developed questionnaire, based on the identified communication effectiveness aspects, together with the proposed form of presenting its results can be successfully applied to evaluate individual communication effectiveness of specific team members, the overall communication effectiveness of a team or organization and to compare teams or organizations for communication effectiveness. Research implications/limitations – The presented concept enables a graphically enriched assessment of communication effectiveness of individual team members, whole teams or organizations and also brings to the attention of the respondents the various aspects which influence communication effectiveness. It should be, however, noted that the results of the questionnaire base on the declarations of the respondents, which makes them subjective. Originality/value/contribution – The proposed concept of measuring communication effectiveness can be used as a tool for enhancing the communication effectiveness in project teams where some flaws or infirmities are observed. It constitutes a comprehensive way of tackling this problem by addressing an extensive list of communication effectiveness aspects and provides clear and meaningful tools of presenting the results.

Public relations effectiveness measurement is becoming more and more important in realization of public relations activities in Poland. It has been caused by the demand from people ordering such services to achieve measurable results and simultaneous increasing usage of research in public relations, which is related to growing ‘scientification’ of this field of knowledge. Basic requirement, which should be met to measure PR effectiveness, is such planning these activities to have measureable objectives and choosing the indicators and research methods for particular PR tools. It is worth remembering that some difficulties in measurement may occur – knowing them allows to minimize inadequate measurement results. Measuring PR effectiveness allows to continue the most efficient PR activities, resign from the less effective ones and also to search new ideas how to communicate with the target groups.

With the advancement of information technology and the Internet, new and promising ways of promoting products and services are emerging for modern businesses. Successful promotion and positioning of an enterprise on the Internet is the key to success of its activity. At the same time, the lack of information about a company on the Internet today can even lead to the loss of a regular customer and, as a consequence, the effectiveness of an organization’s activity. Important innovative tools for advertising products and services of modern businesses online are the use of social media. In a broad sense, social media are an Internet service that is intended to disseminate certain information created by users, whereas any consumer of the service may be the author of such information. The emergence and rapid development of social media is due to the fact that the modern consumer is gradually losing confidence in traditional media and is ignoring them. Social media, as a new space for consumers, have their own features that differentiate them from the rest of the media, and accordingly their methods of work are also different from traditional ones. Therefore, the questions of the features of advertising on social media and the evaluation of its effectiveness are relevant and important in the organization of an enterprise’s marketing and in the process of promoting its products or services. The evolution of social media in the modern world has reached such a level that millions of people around the world create, disseminate and promote information about themselves, or about certain things. Opis:
The paper presents the effectiveness of waste heat recovery regenerators equipped with innovative ceramic matrix forming an integral part of a real glass furnace. The paper full description of the regenerators’ matrix structure with its dimensions, thermo-physical properties and operating parameters is included experimentally determined was the effectiveness of the regenerators has been descrbed using the obtained experimental data such as the operating temperature, gas flows as well as the gases generated during the liquid glass manufacturing process. The effectiveness values refer not only to the heating cycle when the regenerator matrix is heated by combustion gases but also to the cooling cycle in which the matrix is cooled as a result of changes in the direction of the flowing gas. On the basis of the determined effectiveness values for both cycles and measurement uncertainties it was possible, to calculate the weighted average efficiency for each of the regenerators.

The subject of the discussion in the article is evaluate of issue whether social security in its activities is effective and how it affects the social security of citizens. In our times, a growing interest of organizations, including also the public ones, in crowdsourcing, can be observed. It enables to acquire knowledge located in virtual communities. However, despite many benefits, crowdsourcing initiatives very often fail. Therefore, a need for their evaluation is recognized. Nonetheless, in the subject literature, a shortfall of criteria and methods of evaluating crowdsourcing may be observed. The existing proposals do not ensure a comprehensive picture of crowdsourcing, and they do not take into account its multidimensionality. The article is intended for a presentation of the ways of evaluating crowdsourcing and an original proposal of a list of indicators, which may be used for evaluating crowdsourcing in public organizations. The article presents the original proposal of activities, by which it is possible to assess the degree of implementation of the adopted tasks and determine the level of obtained crowdsourcing results. The conducted research allowed to recognize that it is possible to measure crowdsourcing results using quantitative and qualitative indicators. A prerequisite for selecting the appropriate means is first of all to indicate the purposes for which crowdsourcing should be used.
