Przedmiotem pracy jest problematyka psychologicznych i systemowych determinant postaw rodzicielskich matek dzieci z zaburzeniami ze spektrum autyzmu (ASD) oraz matek dzieci neurotypowych. Założenia badań oparto na koncepcji postaw rodzicielskich zaproponowanych przez Plopę (2008), koncepcji stylu radzenia sobie ze stresem Endlera i Parkera (1990) oraz zakorzenionym w teorii systemowej rodziny Modelu Kołowym Systemów Małżeńskich i Rodzinnych Davida H. Olsona (2006). W celu określenia postaw rodzicielskich reprezentowanych przez badane matki wykorzystano Skalę Postaw Rodzicielskich autorstwa Mieczysława Plopy. Do pomiaru funkcjonowania rodziny oraz określenia jej miejsca na kontinuum zrównoważenia użyto polskiej adaptacji kwestionariusza FACES IV Davida H. Olsona – Skali Oceny Rodziny. Pomiaru stylów radzenia sobie ze stresem dokonano natomiast za pomocą Kwestionariusza Radzenia Sobie w Sytuacjach Stresowych (CISS). Ogółem przebadano 100 matek dzieci w wieku szkolnym. Grupa badana składała się z 56 matek dzieci z diagnozą autystycznego spektrum zaburzeń, natomiast grupę kontrolna stanowiły 44 matki dzieci nie posiadających diagnozy zaburzeń rozwojowych. Uzyskane wyniki w większości potwierdziły postawione hipotezy badawcze. Okazało się, że matki dzieci z ASD różnią się istotnie od matek dzieci neurotypowych pod względem postawy Autonomii, Niekonsekwencji i Ochraniania a także pod względem spójności i ogólnego zrównoważenia systemu rodzinnego. Wykazano także istotny statystycznie związek między postawą rodzicielską badanych matek w obydwu grupach a stylami radzenia sobie ze stresem oraz między stylem radzenia sobie ze stresem a ogólnym zrównoważeniem systemu rodzinnego. Ponadto wykazano szereg korelacji pomiędzy charakterystykami systemu rodzinnego takimi jak: zrównoważona spójność, zrównoważona elastyczność, komunikacja, zadowolenie oraz wskaźnik ogólny a postawami rodzicielskimi badanych matek.
The subject of the study is the psychological and systemic determinants of parenting attitudes in mothers of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and mothers of neurotypical children. The research is based on the concept of parenting attitudes proposed by Plopa (2008), the concept of coping styles with stress by Endler and Parker (1990), and rooted in the systemic family theory, the Circular Model of Marital and Family Systems by David H. Olson (2006). To determine the parenting attitudes represented by the studied mothers, the Parenting Attitudes Scale (SPR) by Mieczysław Plopa was used. The functioning of the family and its place on the continuum of cohesion was measured using the Polish adaptation of David H. Olson's FACES IV questionnaire - Family Assessment Scale. Coping styles with stress were measured using the Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations (CISS) questionnaire. In total, 100 mothers of school-age children were examined. The study group consisted of 56 mothers of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, while the control group consisted of 44 mothers of children without developmental disorders. The obtained results mostly confirmed the research hypotheses. It was found that mothers of children with ASD significantly differ from mothers of neurotypical children in terms of Autonomy, Inconsistency, and Protectiveness parenting attitudes, as well as in terms of the cohesion and overall balance of the family system. There was also a statistically significant relationship between the parenting attitude of the studied mothers in both groups and coping styles with stress, as well as between coping styles with stress and the overall balance of the family system. Additionally, a number of correlations were found between characteristics of the family system such as balanced cohesion, balanced flexibility, communication, satisfaction, and the overall index with the parenting attitudes of the studied mothers. - Dostawca treści:
