Wyłoniona typologia karier pozwala nie tylko na opis jednostkowych zachowań nauczycieli, ale pozwala także analizować szersze procesy społeczne, które wpływają na znaczenia, jakie nauczyciele nadają swojej pracy.

Opis:: The article describes quantitative changes in the educational area of the Polish borderland, based on the examples of Nysa, Prudnik, and Głubczyce districts. The demographic data, unfavorable for entire Poland, in the borderland regions are additionally burdened with migration from peripheral communes. It is reflected in the functioning of educational institutions. The analysis of the educational potential of the border areas based on data from the three districts indicates alarming demographic forecasts announcing their depopulation. Breaking that process seems impossible without external support. Thanks to co-financing under efficiently implemented EU projects, and, above all, the work of local leaders, many interesting initiatives were implemented to improve the quality of life in the border areas and their tourist attractiveness, which also gives hope for an economic revival. A positive aspect is that with the decreasing number of students, the number of departments also decreases, which gives hope for a better quality of care, upbringing, and education. However, the data show that reversing the negative trends requires great commitment.

Opis:: On the basis of the archival material, the article presents the process of formation and development of Polish schools in Mścice commune against the background of the post-war educational transformations in Poland (until 1972). The author focuses on the problems that accompanied the transformations, such as: the lack of the teaching personnel (especially qualified), numerous changes of offices, the insufficiency of funds, of equipment and housing as well as the subordination of schools to the communist ideology which dominated in Poland at that time. Furthermore, the article presents the reforms connected with the educational system between 1954–1972 and their impact upon the teaching personnel and the material base. The final caesura of the article coincides with the end of Mścice commune.

Opis:: Przedmiotem przeprowadzonych badań było odczuwane przez nauczycieli edukacji wczesnoszkolnej poczucie partycypacji w zmianach edukacyjnych. Celem badań było ustalenie sposobu rozumienia przez nauczycieli pojęcia „zmiana edukacyjna”, zbadanie ich stosunku do zmian w edukacji oraz odczuwanego poziomu partycypacji we wprowadzanych zmianach. Badania sondażowe z zastosowaniem techniki badań ankietowych zostały przeprowadzone w roku szkolnym 2015/2016 wśród 96 nauczycieli na terenie województwa śląskiego i małopolskiego. W wypowiedziach nauczycieli zaznaczyła się tendencja do adaptacyjnego postrzegania swojego funkcjonowania wobec zmian w edukacji. Zarówno w wymiarze formalno-organizacyjnym, kompetencyjnym, jak i przedmiotowym nauczyciele dostrzegają bariery w swojej partycypacji w zmianach edukacyjnych. Choć nauczyciele uważają, iż zmiany w edukacji są niezwykle ważne i powinny się dokonywać, jednakże autorstwo zmian nie jest obiektem zabiegów dla wielu z badanych. Uzyskane wyniki badań stanowią wyzwanie dla instytucji kształcących, dokształcających i doskonalących nauczycieli w zakresie podejmowania działań mających na celu zmianę w sposobie myślenia nauczycieli o sobie jako animatorach zmian w dzisiejszej dynamicznie zmieniającej się rzeczywistości edukacyjnej.
The object of the conducted research was to gauge a sense of the participation of teachers of early childhood education in educational transformations. The aim of the study was to determine the teachers’ understanding of the notion of educational transformation, examine their attitude to changes occurring in education and the perceived level of participation in the introduced changes. The survey research using opinion poll techniques was conducted in the school year 2015/2016 among 96 teachers in the Silesia and Małopolska Provinces. In their statements, the interviewed teachers indicated a tendency to an adaptive perception of their functioning within the changes in education. Furthermore, the teachers perceive barriers in their participation in the educational changes both in formal-organizational and competence dimensions. Although they believe that changes in education are extremely important and should be made, the authorship of changes is not an object of action of many of the respondents. The results obtained within the study are a challenge for educational institutions in terms of training and improving teachers in taking action aimed at changing the way teachers think of themselves as animators of transformations in today’s rapidly changing educational reality.

Dlatego pragnę niniejszym artykułem mobilizować środowiska rodzinne i pedagogiczne do większej troski o realnego człowieka, który będzie dbał o realne relacje, o realną osobowość, która mocna i zdrowa, będzie zapewne podlegać procesom mediatyzacji, pewnie od tego nie uciekniemy, ale wówczas jest nadzieja na realno-wirtualną zdrową, mocną i mądrą osobowość i takież człowieczeństwo i społeczeństwo.
In his latest book Cyberillnesses, a psychiatrist and an expert on human brain issues and problems connected with the media overload, prof. Manfred Spitzer emphasizes facts which are loudly and often expressed nowadays: that digital information technology is ubiquitous in our society. Smartphones have been gaining popular rapidly in the recent five years and the range of use of digital information technologies has grown so drastically because a smartphone is constantly by our side – always at hand. Immersion that is being completely absorbed by the digital world has increased drastically causing virtualization of the man and the society. The man is more and more often becoming a hybrid of reality and virtuality. The process is accelerating and getting more extreme, mostly because of economic reasons. Questions on physi-cal health and sanity often remain unanswered. Therefore, with this article I would like mobile pedagogical bodies to apply greater care to the real man who will care more about real relations and real personality which, being strong and healthy will of course undergo mediatization process-es, it is unlikely that we will avoid it, but then we may hope for a healthy, strong and wise real-virtual personality and society.

Opis:: The aim of the article is to identify the development of the concept of social diagnosis that took place and takes place in social pedagogy. In this discipline, from the very beginning of its existence, the concepts of environmental diagnosis were developed as an activity preceding the necessary social action changing – improving the social world. The area of research are the concepts of social diagnosis developed in social pedagogy by the main creators of this discipline – from the beginnings of its existence up to modern times. The analysis of reconstructed concepts shows that the social diagnosis undertaken in social pedagogy applies to both individuals and social groups – it identifies the environmental conditions of their life and functioning. Most often it concerns such areas as social conditions, participation in culture but also educational conditions and possibilities. It would be necessary to deepen the social diagnosis – also in the sphere of psychological experiences of the participants of social life and the level of their life – also showing new educational environments and their determinants.

Contemporary social reality is a time of rapid transformations and multidirectional, constant changes, which create some new possibilities of development and autocreation, but also takes away the sense of stability and durability of social roles. Social transformations contribute to the appearance of many threats, like: devaluation and relativization of general human values; decrease of social sensitivity; negation of all the ideals; relativization of personal and institutional authority; egoism in aiming to satisfy personal needs, achieve profit and pursue a career; dissemination of mass culture; informational manipulation of mass media, marketisation of individual areas of life; excessive consumerism; more and more often revealed socially destructive phenomena like paedophilia, drug addiction and appearance of new forms of addictions. The article presents changes taking place at universities amid transformations of the modern world, such as changes in the area of work, the development of the digital economy and dynamic technological evolution that justify the necessity for lifelong learning. New technologies have revolutionised the way people work and learn, adapting their skills to new challenges, which indicates the change of educational reality. The trend of these transformations tends to be defined as the revolution of the education inscribed in the phenomenon of global educational culture. In the context of the above-mentioned changes, the significant role of the universities transferring the dogma of creativity from its research to educational mission is shown and emerging trends in this field are discussed, especially as regards universities as centres of lifelong learning. The value system of a person is considered to be a relatively stable phenomenon, but certain events and social conditions can influence it. As young people are mostly consumers of educational services it seems important to explore the educational values they possess in order to understand what they strive for and expect when getting higher education.The pandemic and war became significant factors that influenced, i.a. the educational practices of modern youth and,by extension, their system of values. In the present study, we decided to focus onone of the elements of the system of values, that is, the concept of individualization, which was studiedin the context of university education.

Opis:: Demographic transformations caused by economic and social changes results in negative changes in the demographic structure of the Polish society. The number of children has been decreasing. According to the demographic forecasts, this tendency is going to continue. The current situation requires adjustment of the education system to the changing number of the pupils' (students') population. Initially these changes concern kindergartens and primary schools. In the future, they are also going to be observed in schools at higher than the lowest one levels of education. As the consequence of demographic transformations, the population at the working age is also going to face some serious problems. Therefore, the education system reaction to all these changes should be not only limited organizational changes in the kindergartens and schools, but it should also include adjustments of school programmes.
