Celem pracy jest wykazanie zależności występowania określonych stężeń pyłu zawieszonego PM10 i PM2,5 i jego zróżnicowania, od typów cyrkulacji atmosfery dla południowo–wschodniej Polski. Z racji obszerności zagadnienia i czynników składowych warunkujących określone stężenie pyłu zawieszonego, pozostałe aspekty (jak np. transport kołowy, rzeźba terenu czy rodzaj zabudowy) mają w tej pracy charakter wyłącznie poglądowy, dający możliwość spojrzenia z szerszej perspektywy na omawiane zagadnienie oraz dodatkowe wytłumaczenie ich powiązania z zanieczyszczeniem aerozolami atmosferycznymi. Szczególnie znaczenie będzie miała w tym aspekcie topografia terenu i stan równowagi atmosfery.
The purpose of the work is to show the dependence of specific PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations of dust and its differentiation on the types of atmospheric circulation for south-eastern Poland. Due to the extensiveness of the issue and the constituent factors determining a specific concentration of suspended dust, the other aspects (such as road transport, relief or type of building) are only illustrative in this work, giving the opportunity to look from a broader perspective on the issue and additional explanation of their connection with atmospheric aerosol pollution. The topography of the terrain and the balance of the atmosphere will be particularly important in this aspect.

Opis:
Działalność misyjna Kościoła, która stanowi o jego naturze i autentycznej żywotności, ciągle stoi przed nowymi wyzwaniami. Kościół bowiem od początku starał się odczytywać znaki czasów. Obecnie jednym z nich jest środowisko naturalne, które nierzadko jawi się jako zniszczone, zaśmiecone, a czasem wręcz niezdatne do życia. Niestety, problemy te nie ominęły również terenów misyjnych. Pojęcie ekologii oraz związane z nią zadania i projekty stanowią dzisiaj ważne miejsce w życiu społeczeństw. Kościół aktywnie włącza się w te wezwania, o czym świadczy chociażby ostatnia encyklika papieża Franciszka Laudato si’. Ekoteologia zaś spogląda na te kwestie przez pryzmat objawienia, nadając im transcendentny i duchowy charakter. Ziemia bowiem, jako nasz „wspólny dom”, została dana i zadana człowiekowi przez Stwórcę. Problematyka ta wpisuje się również w działalność misyjną Kościoła.
Missionary activities of the Church determine her very nature and vitality. She tries to discern the signs of time and stand up to challenges. One of the most conspicuous signs of times today is the increasing damage of our natural environment. There are even places on earth no longer suitable to sustain life. Ecology has become an important issue. Ecological projects attract attention and resources of governments and civic organisations. The church actively participates in addressing the ecological problems in many parts of the world. In 2015, pope Francis issued encyclical letter on care for our common home, Laudato si’. Ecotheology reflects on ecology in the light of the Revelation, treating them as transcendental and spiritual values. The earth, “our common home”, was given to man as gift and responsibility. Men must remember about that responsibility, recognise the causes and effects of environmental degradation, especially through neglect and/or excessive consumption of natural resources, and address them. Care for our natural environment is part of the missionary activity of the Church, too.

Modlitwa kwadransowa należy do kanonu modlitw odmawianych w Zgromadzeniu Słowa Bożego. Jej historia sięga czasów o. Arnolda Janssena, założyciela trzech misyjnych zgromadzeń zakonnych. Był to człowiek, którego duchowość została głęboko zakorzeniona w tajemnicy Trójcy Przenajświętszej. Omówiona modlitwa składa się z pięciu wezwań oraz pięciu odpowiedzi. W swojej bogatej, teologicznej treści odwołuje się do Jednego Boga w Trójcy Osób, do którego odnosi takie określenia, jak dobro, prawda, zbawienie, moc. Z kolei Słowo Boże, stanowiące podmiot czwartego wezwania, jest postrzegane jako posłane przez Boga Ojca celem wypełnienia dzieła zbawienia. Wcielone Słowo stanowi pełnię oraz ośrodek historii. To Ono jednoczy wokół siebie wszystkich ludzi nie tylko przekraczając, ale wręcz niwelując międzyludzkie bariery i podziały. Końcowe wezwanie to wołanie do Ducha Syna – Ducha Świętego o napełnienie uczniów Chrystusa Bożą mocą i darami. Ta jakże potrzebna sprawcza działalność Parakleta jest nieodzowna, aby po najdalsze zakątki ziemi i po wszystkie czasy sławiono oraz głoszono imię Boga, objawione w Jezusie Chrystusie – jedynym Odkupicielu człowieka.
The Quarter Hour Prayer, written by a man of extraordinary devotion to the Holy Trinity, Fr Arnold Janssen, the founder of three religious missionary congregations, is one of the most important prayers in the Society of the Divine Word. It is composed of five invocations and supplications to the Trinity, each followed by the believer’s declaration of faith, trust and good intent. It acknowledges God as goodness, truth, salvation and power. The Word of God, the subject of the fourth invocation, is recognised as sent by God to ensure man’s salvation. The Incarnate Word is the fullness and the centre of the whole of history. It cuts across and breaks all human barriers and divisions and unites all people. The final invocation begs the Spirit of the Son – The Holy Spirit – to fill Christ’s disciples with the divine gifts and power. The causative activity of the Paraklet is indispensable factor in spreading the glory of God, revealed in Jesus Christ, the only Redeemer of men, to the furthest ends of the world until the end of times.

The paper presents a novel instrumentation for rare events selection which was tested in our research of short-lived super-heavy elements production and detection. The instrumentation includes an active catcher multi-elements system and dedicated electronics. The active catcher located in the forward hemisphere is composed of 63 scintillator detection modules. Reaction products of damped collisions between heavy-ion projectiles and heavy-target nuclei are implanted in the fast plastic scintillators of the active catcher modules. The acquisition system trigger delivered by logical branch of the electronics allows to record the reaction products which decay via the alpha-particle emissions or spontaneous fission which take place between beam bursts. One microsecond wave form signal from FADCs contains information on heavy implanted nucleus as well as its decays.

We present a dedicated experimental setup that has been built in Institute of Physics of the Jagiellonian University and is currently used to search long lived super heavy elements (LLSHE) that could be produced in the reaction between heavy ions and then deposited in the active catcher (AC) scintillation material. The collisions between heavy nuclei $^{197}Au$ (7.5 A.MeV) and $^{232}Th$ have been performed during our experiment at the Cyclotron Institute, Texas A&M in 2015. An innovative apparatus, which consists of ΔE–E detectors, enables the registration and identification of spontaneous decays (α or fission - SF) of heavy products, which were deposited in the scintillation material of the AC. Unique feature of the apparatus is that the AC scintillators are at the same time ΔE part of each of ΔE–E detector. The other part, E part, is a silicon detector. This construction largely eliminates background events in the region where alpha particles emitted by decaying reaction products are expected. Our measurements should be sensitive to search for super heavy elements (SHE) which could be deposited in irradiated scintillators and which have lifetimes of a year till over a dozen of years. Some results of the continuous measurement that already lasts 1.5 year will be shown.
