Opis:
Mursaleen introduced the concepts of statistical convergence in random 2-normed spaces. Recently Mohiuddine and Aiyup defined the notion of lacunary statistical convergence and lacunary statistical Cauchy in random 2-normed spaces. In this paper, we define and study the notion of lacunary statistical convergence and lacunary of statistical Cauchy sequences in random on χ2 over p- metric spaces dfined by Musielak and prove some theorems which generalizes Mohiuddine and Aiyup results.

Opis:
This study investigates the fresh and mechanical performance of concrete incorporating sintered fly ash lightweight aggregates (SFLWA) both with and without steel fibers. Comparative assessments of natural aggregates with sintered fly ash aggregates were evaluated. Mix design was obtained by the IS method for M30 grade concrete, and within the natural aggregates were replaced with 20%, 40%, and 60% amounts of SFLWA. The addition of SFLWA shows an increase in the workability of the concrete. Replacement with SFLWA increases with an increase in slump value, and decreases in strength parameters. Compressive strength of 42.6 MPa was achieved with a 40% replacement of SFLWA with steel fibers. The mechanical properties such as compressive strength, split tensile strength, flexural strength, elastic modulus, and structural efficiency of SFLWAC were examined, both with and without fibers. The incorporation of fibers drastically improved the mechanical properties of the mix.
Mieszaniny te zostały następnie dokładniej zbadane w odniesieniu do różnych proporcji włókien stalowych w mieszaninach betonowych, dla współczynnika kształtu wynoszącego 55 i objętości wynoszącej 0,5% w mieszaninach betonowych. Następnie do mieszanin dodano włókna szklane, co powoduje zwiększenie ich wytrzymałości i właściwości wiążących w mieszaninach betonowych.

Opis:
Purpose: The purpose of the study is to develop an augmented algorithm with optimised energy and improvised synchronisation to assist the knee exoskeleton design. This enhanced algorithm is used to estimate the accurate left and right movement signals from the brain and accordingly moves the lower-limb exoskeleton with the help of motors. Design/methodology/approach: An optimised deep learning algorithm is developed to differentiate the right and left leg movements from the acquired brain signals. The obtained test signals are then compared with the signals obtained from the conventional algorithm to find the accuracy of the algorithm. Findings: The obtained average accuracy rate of about 63% illustrates the improvised differentiation in identifying the right and left leg movement. Research limitations/implications: The future work involves the comparative study of the proposed algorithm with other classification technologies to extract more reliable results. A comparative analysis of the replaceable and rechargeable battery will be done in the future study to exhibit the effectiveness of the proposed model. Originality/value: This study involves the extended study of five frequency regions namely alpha, beta, gamma, delta and theta, to handle the real-time EEG signal processing exoskeleton, model.

Opis:
Introduction: Ethnobotany is the study of medicinal plants used by local people, with particular importance of old-styled tribal beliefs and information. Ethnobotanical studies focus on ethnic knowledge of Adivasi people and development of data bases on ethnic knowledge but also focuses on preservation and regeneration of traditional beliefs and maintenance of traditional knowledge. Objective: The aim of present study is to highlight the traditional actions of herbal plants used by inborn Yanadi community of Seshachalam Biosphere Reserve, Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh, India. Methods: The ethnobotanical field survey was conducted according to the methods adopted by some authors. In-depth interviews, interactions were conducted with tribal physicians of Yanadi, Nakkala and Irula as well as other tribes practicing and experiencing the use of plant-based medicine. A normal inquiry form was used to gather the appropriate data on herbal plants and their usage of inborn people’s lifestyle. Extensive consultations among local people and detailed documentation of the usage of plants were carried out in 2014–2017. The aged outmoded opinions and imposts of indigenous people conceded on by word of opening were documented. Results: A total of 266 medicinally used plant species belonging to 216 genera and 88 families were recognized with help of inborn herbal healers. The study also chronicled the mode of herbal arrangements, mode of the use of herbal plants in various disorders. The study exposed that native people of Seshachalam Biosphere Reserve have good medicinal information and also have preserved plant-based medicinal system of their ascendants used all their diseases. Most of medicinal plants are used in the treatment of indigestion, snake bite and skin diseases. The authors feel that this type of study certainly helps identify ethnic leads for drug development in future. Conclusions: The ethnobotanical investigation of Seshalam Biosphere area has revealed that the tribes possess good knowledge on plant-based medicine but as they are towards in advanced exposure to transformation, their information on traditional uses of plants is slowly getting eroded. The authors plead for intensive crosscultural studies involving all ethnic tribes in the country for prioritizing or short listing of ethnic leads for various disorders for ultimately developing global level drugs for human welfare and economy development.

Activity pattern and food habits of Grizzled Giant Squirrel were investigated in Srivilliputhur Grizzled Giant Squirrel Wildlife Sanctuary from December 2011 to March 2012. Focal animal sampling method was used to record the activity pattern and food habits. Sampling was done in three different habitats viz., Private land, Reserve forest and Temple land. Feeding was the dominant activity accounting for 35.4% of the activity period. Bimodal feeding pattern was observed in Squirrels, the observations were made from early morning hours to till (0600-1800) late evening hours. The Squirrels feed upon 23 plant species; among them 11 were trees species, 10 climbers and 2 shrubs. Seven types of plant parts were used by Squirrels. Leaf consumption was high (38%) followed by fruit (24%). The high consumption of leaves was due to easy availability of leaves and limited availability of other plant parts. Squirrel‟s invasion into Private Land and Temple Land was observed which can be attributed to abundance and easy availability of food plants, canopy continuity and less predatory pressure.

Opis:
Travel behaviour studies in activity-based perspective treat travel as a result of individual’s desire to participate in different activities. This approach is more significant in the context of developing countries, as the transportation problems are more severe here. Since, commuters contribute to a major share in the travel, understanding their travel behaviour is essential. This paper aims to explore the travel behaviour of commuters in Calicut city, Kerala State, India and thereby model their activity-travel patterns. Household, personal and activity-travel information from 12920 working people and 9684 students formed the database for this study. The data collection was performed by means of home-interview survey by face-to-face interview technique. From preliminary analysis, several simple and complex tours were identified for the study area. Working people’s work participation and students’ education activity participation decision are modelled as mandatory activity participation choice in a binary logit modelling framework. Results of this mandatory activity participation model revealed that male workers are more likely to engage in work compared to females. Presence of elderly persons is found to negatively influence the work participation decisions of workers. This may be due to the fact that, work activity may be partially or completely replaced with the medical requirements of the elderly. The chances for work activity participation increase with increase in number of two-wheelers at home. In the case of students, as the education level increases, they are found to be less likely to participate in education activities. Students are observed to follow simple activity-travel pattern. Complex tours are found to be performed by males, compared to females. Activity-travel pattern of the study group are predicted using the developed models. The percentages correctly predicted indicate reasonably good predictability for the models. These kind of studies are expected to help the town planners to better understand city’s travel behaviour and thus to formulate well-organised travel demand management policies.

Opis:
This paper presents the formulation and numerical simulation for linear quadratic optimal control problem (LQOCP) of free terminal state and fixed terminal time fractional order discrete time singular system (FODSS). System dynamics is expressed in terms of Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative (RLFD), and performance index (PI) in terms of state and costate. Because of its complexity, finding analytical and numerical solutions to singular system (SS) is difficult. As a result, we use coordinate transformation to convert FODSS to its corresponding fractional order discrete time nonsingular system (FODNSS). After that, we obtain the necessary conditions by employing a Hamiltonian approach. The relevant conditions are solved using the general solution approach. For the analysis of formulation and solution algorithm, a numerical example is illustrated. Results are obtained for various values. According to state of the art, this is the first time that a formulation and numerical simulation of free terminal state and fixed terminal time optimal control problem (OCP) of FODSS is presented.

Opis:
Cosmological and astrophysical observations suggest that 85% of the total matter of the Universe is made of Dark Matter (DM). However, its nature remains one of the most challenging and fundamental open questions of particle physics. Assuming particle DM, this exotic form of matter cannot consist of Standard Model (SM) particles. Many models have been developed to attempt unraveling the nature of DM such as Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs), the most favored particle candidates. WIMP annihilations and decay could produce SM particles which in turn hadronize and decay to give SM secondaries such as high energy 𝛾 rays. In the framework of indirect DM search, observations of promising targets are used to search for signatures of DM annihilation. Among these, the dwarf spheroidal galaxies (dSphs) are commonly favored owing to their expected high DM content and negligible astrophysical background. In this work, we present the very first combination of 20 dSph observations, performed by the Fermi-LAT, HAWC, H.E.S.S., MAGIC, and VERITAS collaborations in order to maximize the sensitivity of DM searches and improve the current results. We use a joint maximum likelihood approach combining each experiment’s individual analysis to derive more constraining upper limits on the WIMP DM self-annihilation cross-section as a function of DM particle mass. We present new DM constraints over the widest mass range ever reported, extending from 5 GeV to 100 TeV thanks to the combination of these five different 𝛾-ray instruments.
