Opis:: This paper presents the results of the studies of metal content in precipitation water in 2013, recorded at measuring points within Lubelskie and Lubuskie Voivodeships. It provides a detailed description of the method of collecting and analysing water samples in respect of light- and heavy-metal determination. Based on the results, a general assessment was made of the condition of the environment in the areas in question. Also, the sources of pollution in wet precipitation, and the effects of their introduction into the environment, were determined. It was found that the main pollution elements of precipitation water were linked to anthropogenic sources. The study also established that precipitation water, especially in the sparsely industrialised Włodawa region in the Lubelskie Voivodeship, had generally low pollution levels. It was also noted that in 2013, due to low total precipitation, the environmental impact of metal content was lower than in the preceding years.

Opis:: W pracy przedstawiono ocenę zmian zanieczyszczenia gleby w latach 1995–2010 na terenie Lubelszczyzny w oparciu o wyniki badań monitoringowych. Przytoczono zasady, cel i zadania monitoringu gleby prowadzonego w skali kraju, jak i lokalnie. Omówiono rodzaje i źródła zanieczyszczenia gleby, metody oznaczania tych zanieczyszczeń, a także procedurę oznaczania próbek gleby do analizy. Następnie przedstawiono i oceniono wyniki zawartości poszczególnych pierwiastków i związków w próbkach gleby. Zawartości związków fosforu, potasu i magnezu w glebie okazały się zróżnicowane. Występowało także lokalne nadmierne zasolenie i zanieczyszczenie gleby siarką z przyczyn antropogenicznych. Brak jednak nadmiernego zanieczyszczenia gleby związkami WWA oraz metalami ciężkimi. Zanotowano lokalnie podwyższone zawartości niektórych metali w glebie. W podsumowaniu stwierdzono potrzebę wapnowania oraz prowadzenia działań agrotechnicznych dla zwiększenie zasobności i żyzności gleby. Jako ważne czynniki jakości gleby w pierwszej kolejności określono zakwaszenie gleby oraz niedostatek próchnicy, następnie zaś udział potencjalnie toksycznych zanieczyszczeń.
The paper presents the evaluation of soil contamination changes in the years 1995–2010 in the Lubelskie province based on the results of monitoring studies. The principles, objectives and tasks of soil monitoring, both nationally and locally, were presented. The types and sources of soil contamination, the methods for determining these pollutants, and the procedure for determining soil samples for analysis are discussed. The results of the content of particular elements and compounds in soil samples were subsequently presented and evaluated. The content of phosphorus, potassium and magnesium compounds in the soil proved to be diverse. There was also local excessive salinity and pollution of the soil with sulfur due to the anthropogenic causes. However, there is no excessive contamination of the soil with PAHs and heavy metals. The elevated content of some metals in soil have been reported locally. In summary, the need for liming and farming activities to increase the soil abundance and fertility has been identified. The identified important factors of soil quality included acidification and humus deficiency, as well as the share of potentially toxic impurities.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono wybrane zagadnienia związane z emisją pyłów do powietrza atmosferycznego. Wskazano główne źródła emisji pyłów, ich rodzaje i właściwości. Omówiono czynniki wpływające na zdrowie ludzi związane z występowaniem podwyższonego stężenia pyłów w powietrzu. Pokazano rozkłady średniorocznych stężeń pyłu zawieszonego w Polsce z podziałem na klasy jakości powietrza. Opisano metodykę monitoringu powietrza oraz sposoby weryfikacji wyników pomiarów stężenia pyłu. Przedstawiono działania zapobiegawcze mające na celu zmniejszenie ilości zanieczyszczeń pyłowych w najważniejszych źródłach emisji. W podsumowaniu stwierdzono, że problem nadmiernego zanieczyszczenia powietrza w Polsce, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem pyłu zawieszonego, wymaga wprowadzenia rozwiązań zarówno w skali międzynarodowej, jak i lokalnej.
The article presents selected issues connected with emission of dusts to the atmospheric air. The main sources of emission but also types of dusts and their properties were indicated. Factors which have impact on human’s health connected with occurence of higher concentration of dusts in the air were discussed. The paper also shows the distributions of yearly average dusts concentration in Poland with the division of air quality. Methodology of air monitoring with the way of results modification was described. Preventive actions for lowering the amount of dust in the most important emission sources were also shown. In the last part of this paper it was said that the problem of air pollution in Poland especially with particulate matter needs the introduction of some solutions, not only in the local scale but also in the international scale.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono najczęściej stosowane metody spektroskopowe służące do oznaczania zawartości pierwiastków i jonów w materiałach stałych i ciekłych. Wyjaśniono sposób prowadzenia oznaczeń w każdej metodzie oraz omówiono jej wady i zalety. Przedstawiono procedurę przygotowania próbek materiałów do analizy. Zaprezentowano również przykładowe wyniki oznaczeń pierwiastków w spektroskopie emisyjnym ICP-OES w porównaniu do wyników referencyjnych. Stwierdzono dużą zgodność zmierzonych zawartości pierwiastków z wartościami referencyjnymi, co potwierdza bardzo dużą dokładność wybranej metody spektroskopowej.
In this article were presented the most frequently use spectroscopy methods for marking the content of elements and ions in solids and liquids. There were discussed the advantages and disadvantages of every method as well as the way of conducting analysis. There was also presented the procedure of preparing samples for analysis. The examplary results of elements indication on the emission spectroscope ICP-OES were introduced in the second part of this paper. These results were compared to the results of the analysis of the reference material. It was certified that both results corresponds to one another which proves the high level precision of chosen spectroscopy method.

Opis:: In this article we presented the issues concerning the measurement of road noise, measurement results, and the discussion pertaining to the methods of limiting the excessive noise in the city of Lublin. Mobile systems, equipped with software which enables editing the measurement data, analysis and presentation of the data in the form of an acoustic map, are used to measure the noise level. Exemplary streets of the city are shown, where the road noise level has been significantly exceeded, and the effects of acoustic screens installation is presented. Moreover, the preventive and educational actions which are carried out in Lublin, meant to popularise alternative methods of transport, are discussed. It was concluded that an effective reduction of the traffic noise in the city can be achieved already at the stage of designing housing estates, along with the planning of access roads and noise barriers.

Opis:: Sintered AlN ceramics were implanted by Ti, Fe and Cu ions up to 1.9 × 10$\text{}^{17}$ atoms/cm$\text{}^{2}$ at mean energies of 70-110 keV in order to investigate the role of the chemical properties of the implanted species. on the phase formed during the implantation process. X-ray absorption studies were performed at room and at liquid nitrogen temperature to give information on the resulting systems and local environments of the Ti, Fe and Cu atoms. We observe the formation of TiN even for as-implanted samples, while the Cu ions aggregate to clusters. The Fe implanted samples show an intermediate behavior with both nitride formation and Fe clustering. In conclusion, the heat of formation is found to be a key parameter for the final system.

Opis:: The article presents the parameterization of objects used for designing the type of elements as structural connectors and making modifications of their characteristics. The design process was carried out using Autodesk Inventor 2015. We show the latest software tools, which were used for parameterization and modeling selected types of structural connectors. We also show examples of the use of parameterization facili-ties in the process of constructing some details and making changes to geometry with holding of the shape the element. The presented method of Inventor usage has enabled fast and efficient creation of new objects based on sketches created.
