Opis:: Problem nadmiernego hałasu w halach przemysłowych jest zjawiskiem powszechnym. Prawo nakłada na właścicieli firm obowiązek podejmowania działań zmierzających w jego ograniczaniu. Głównym celem pracy jest przedstawienie możliwości ograniczenia hałasu w hali produkcyjnej, w której znajdują się urządzenia do produkcji drutu miedzianego. Wykonane symulacje przeprowadzono w programie Strefa 2002, który umożliwia określenie rozkładu hałasu w pomieszczeniu.
The problem of excessive noise in industrial halls is a common phenomenon. The law impose an obligation on the companies owners into taking activity to limited it. The main purpose of the workis taking the action in terms of limited the noise on the factory hall where there are the machines for the production of copper wire. The series of the simulations was carried out in the program Strefa 2002 which is used to predict the noise distribution in the room.

Opis:: This study summarises and compares the measurement results of acoustical properties of an auditorium located on the campus of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Cracow University of Technology. The auditorium was thoroughly modernised and its acoustic features adapted. Measurements of the room acoustics were first taken prior to the modernisation program and were repeated after completion of the modernisation works. Evaluation of auditorium acoustics was based on the following parameters: reverberation time, early/late energy ratio (clarity) $C_{50}$, early decay time, speech intelligibility indices, and uniformity of sound distribution. The effect of the modernisation program on levels of those parameters are explored and conformity to the design objectives is analysed.

Opis:: The aim of the study was to identify acoustic and structural modes in the spectrum obtained exper- imentally inside an operator’s cab in a bulldozer. Measurements were taken inside the operator’s cab in a caterpillar-track bulldozer Polremaco TD12NPH2E-2000, designed for work in underground mine enclosures. The acoustic pressure spectrum was obtained for varied rotational speeds of the engine during the free run of the machine. The reverberation time of the cab was determined basing on the pulse-type excited pressure response, followed by identification of the spectral components registered by measure- ments. Thus, identified frequencies were compared with natural acoustic frequencies registered inside the operator’s cab and with frequencies associated with the valves and ignition frequencies due to rotational speed and natural frequencies of structural vibrations of the cab’s walls. This study was conducted in an attempt to reduce the noise inside the operator’s cab using passive methods.

Opis:: The study investigates the spectra of vibrations transmitted onto the body of a wheelchair user during the ride on typical floor surfaces in public buildings and in their vicinity. Three wheelchair types are considered in the study (universal and active ones). Selected factors are examined that determine the amplitude of vibration acceleration acting upon humans in the analysed frequency range (wheelchair type, user’s body mass, surface type). The spectral analysis gives an insight into some of the factors which lead to a change of the vibration parameters registered at the user’s seat.

Opis:: W pracy oceniono możliwości wytworzenia polistyrenu spienionego modyfikowanego mikrocząstkami mikrocelulozy, zmielonej łupiny orzecha włoskiego, skrobi i wulkanicznego, porowatego tufu. Określono wpływ dodatków na właściwości wytrzymałościowe przy ściskaniu, jednorodność kompozycji oraz wpływ sezonowania na właściwości. Następnie wykonano badania współczynnika pochłaniania dźwięku oraz oceniono możliwość zastosowania takich kompozytów.
In the work evaluation of ability to produce expanded polystyrene modified by microparticles of cellulose, milled rind of walnut, starch and volcanic, porous tuff was rated. Then the influence of additives on the properties of the compressive strenght, homogeneity of the composition and the influence of seasoning on properties was defined. Next, a coefficient test of sound absorption was performed, and lastly, possibility of using such composites was evaluated.

Opis:: Celem pracy była ocena komfortu jazdy użytkownika uniwersalnego wózka inwalidzkiego. Dokonano oceny ryzyka związanego z krótkotrwałym działaniem drgań mechanicznych na osobę znajdującą się na wózku w zależności od rodzaju nawierzchni, po której się poruszała (badanie przeprowadzono na 13 różnych nawierzchniach). Przeanalizowano również wpływ zmiany środka ciężkości osoby na wózku, jaki ma miejsce przy zmianie postawy w trakcie jazdy czynnej i biernej.
This study examined the effect of changes the centre of gravity and road surface types on using of a wheelchair. Users comfort, while using wheelchair, was specified during vibration measurement tests. The vibration was measured in each of three axes. For the purpose of this thesis the universal folding wheelchair Budget 9.050 of Meyra company was used. The measurements were performed on 13 different surfaces. Each test was executed twice for two different positions of wheelchair’s user. In the first test, user was sitting on a wheelchair and was pushed by the operator. In the second attempt, user was driving wheelchair by himself.

Opis:: Research efforts summarised in this study were a part of preliminary investigation to evaluate the impact of pregnant women’s exposure to vibrations generated by public transport system when using. Methods: The assessment of the problem and discomfort for pregnant women, caused by the public transportation is based on a questionnaire including questions relating to the women’s subjective feelings on well-being or discomfort when exposed to vibration during the ride in passenger cars or when using means of public transport. In the second stage of investigation, vibrations transmitted onto a sitting person during the tram or car ride were measured. Results: The survey shows that when travelling on a tram the women complained mostly of digestive or neurological disorders, during the car ride they suffered most acutely from digestive disorders, sensed enhanced foetus movements and reported problems with the osteoarticular system. Amplitude-frequency characteristics of the investigated vehicle types reveal that vibration amplitudes registered during the ride in a motor vehicle are higher than on tram (in the analysed frequency range). Furthermore, vibration accelerations in the z-axis direction registered during the tram ride exceed the vibration discomfort threshold, particularly for the 1/3 octave bands 5 and 6.3 Hz. These are frequency ranges corresponding to resonance frequencies of vital organs in the abdominal cavity (4.5–10 Hz). Conclusions: Correlating these results with frequencies reported in literature associated with subjective human responses to vibration, shows that pregnant women using public transport are likely to suffer from a variety of ailments caused by vibrations generated during the ride.

Opis:: Autorzy przeprowadzili ocenę warunków pracy personelu na oddziale intensywnej terapii. Komfort akustyczny oceniano na podstawie pomiaru poziomu hałasu, a warunki oświetleniowe poprzez pomiar natężenia oświetlenia. W trakcie pomiarów uruchomione były dwa rodzaje istotnych źródeł hałasu: respiratory oraz kardiomonitory. Zmierzone na sali IT wartości poziomu hałasu przekraczały dopuszczalną wartość o ok. 24 dB. Na podstawie badań natężenia oświetlenia stwierdzono, że tylko w części punktów pomiarowych wartości normowe były spełnione.
The authors assess the working conditions of medical staff on the w Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The acoustic comfort was evaluated on the basis of sound level measurement and the lighting conditions of the illumination value. During the measurements worked most important noise sources such as respirators and patient monitors. The sound level values which have been measured in the ICU room were exceeded the permissible value of approx. 24 dB. Based on the results of measurements illumination it has been found that only part of the measurement points were met of requirements of the current legislations.
