Opis:: Referat dotyczy ograniczeń skalowalności systemów asynchronicznych. Istotą badań był wpływ procesów o charakterze długoterminowym na degradację wydajności i czasu odpowiedzi systemu o skończonych zaso-bach. Pokazano, że generowanie procesów o charakterze długoterminowym można wyjaśnić na bazie termodynamiki nieekstensywnej.
This paper deals with scalability limitations of asynchronous systems, Fig. 1. The impact of long-term processes on system performance degradation and response time, Fig. 4, has been investigated. As starting point of analysis we assume that asynchronous system is complex system in contrast to traditional models which based on simple systems, Fig. 2. This mean that investigations concern of influence of all system components together on performance disturbances in contradiction to independent particular component in the case of classical models. The idea presented in this paper shows how complex system behavior provide a good perspective to analysis and application asynchronous system.

Opis:: W artykule pokazano, że czas życia systemów rekonfigurowalnych wpisuje się w przypadek super-ekstensywny, nieaddytywnej termodynamiki nierównowagowej i entropii Tsallisa, która oprócz składnika addytywnego o charakterze ilościowym, opisującym nierekonfigurowane struktury klasyczne, zawiera dodatkowy człon jakościowy wpisujący się w charakter struktur rekonfigurowalnych. Podejście to stanowi rozszerzenie klasycznej, addytywnej formuły entropii Boltzmanna-Gibbsa-Shannona. Badania dotyczą relacji pomiędzy postępem technologicznym określonym przez prawo Moore'a a czasem życia produktu w odniesieniu do struktur klasycznych i rekonfigurowalnych.
The article shows that the time of living of reconfigurable systems can be described by non-extensive, non-additive, non-equilibrium thermodynamics and Tsallis entropy, which beside the additive linear component that describes classical non-reconfigurable structures , has got additional term that can characterize the reconfigurable structures. The presented approach is the enhancement of classical additive formula of Boltzman-Gibbs-Shannon entropy. The relation between technological progress described by Moore's law and product time of living for classical and reconfigurable structures was shown.

Opis:: In the article the authors propose a method for load-balancing of network resources for the case which uses a routing protocols. In the first part of the article the authors present currently used algorithms for load balancing and possibilities of their modification. Through the introduction of additional hardware components for each node: the agent and the probe; it is possible to monitor and control the current system performance. The whole analyzed network is treated as a complex system. This allows to eliminate overloading of route nodes (through ongoing analysis of the optimal operating point for a given node). Load balancing can be achieved using a modified mechanism of ECMP. The proposed approach allows for dynamic adjustment of load to network resources and thus effectively to balance network traffic.

Opis:: Contemporary computer networks fit into the category of complex systems. However, many models are still based on an idealistic paradigm of simple systems based on thermodynamic equilibrium. In order to understand and optimize the design of real networks, it is necessary to understand and describe their nonextensive operation aspects. Therefore, it is necessary to explain such concepts as self-organization, self-adaptation and matching load to finite resources.
Współczesne sieci komputerowe wpisują się w kategorię systemów złożonych. Jednakże wiele sosowanych modeli sieci ciągle bazuje na idealistycznym paradygmacie systemów prostych opartym na termodynamice równowagowej. W celu zrozumienia i optymalizacji procesu projektowania rzeczywistych sieci komputerowych konieczne staje się zrozumienie i opisanie nieekstensywnych aspektów ich działania. Dlatego należy wyjaśnić takie pojęcia ja samoorganizacja, samoadaptacja, w systemie rozproszonym, dostosowanie obciążenia, równowagowy i nierównowagowy stan sieci komputerowej postrzeganej jako system. W artykule autorzy pokazują że samoadaptacja i samoorganizacja w sieci komputerowej ma charakter nieekstensywny, jak również analizują ich wpływ na wzajemne dopasowanie pomiędzy obciążeniem i ograniczonymi zasobami systemu rozproszonego. Analizowany jest również wpływ samoadaptacji i samoorganizacji na czas odpowiedzi systemu. Zaproponowany model pozwoli na doprecyzowanie i ulepszenie procesu projektowania i kontroli sieci komputerowych, który uwzględniać będzie zjawiska krótko i długoterminowe w nich zachodzące. Wpłynie to również na poprawę zarządzania sieciami realizowanego z wykorzystaniem sztucznej inteligencji, algorytmów genetycznych i logiki rozmytej.

Opis:: Limited resources are a natural feature of most real systems, both artificial and natural ones. This causes the need for effective management of access to existing resources. In this area, queuing systems are of special application. However, they are treated as simple systems for which two states are characteristic: work underload and work on the border of thermodynamic equilibrium.This approach is reflected in existing queue management mechanisms, that need to keep them in one of two mentioned states. On the other hand, they should be considered from the point of complex systems view, for which the third operation states: overload state is natural as well. In order to be closer to this issue, in this paper the authors consider queues performance from the perspective of complex systems.

Opis:: Within our work a ceramic of the PFN type was obtained by a single stage method and it was subjected to a cobalt modification in the amount of: 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 and 6.0 mol%. Studies of the influence of the cobalt admixture on the crystalline structure, microstructure and ferroelectric properties of PFN ceramics were performed. It was shown that the iso-valence PFN admixing with cobalt had a positive influence on the density and ceramic microstructure. Higher cobalt admixtures (above 1.0 mol%) in PFN eliminate pyrochlore phase formation, and at the same time they reduce maximum electric permittivity values. The ferroelectric to paraelectric phase transition in the modified PFN compositions undergoes diffusion.
W pracy otrzymano ceramikę typu PFN metodą jednoetapowej syntezy, modyfikowaną kobaltem w ilości: 1,0, 2,0, 3,0, 4,0 i 6,0% mol. Przeprowadzono badania wpływu domieszki kobaltu na strukturę krystaliczna, mikrostrukture i podstawowe właściwości ceramiki typu PFN. Wykazano, że izowalencyjne domieszkowanie PFN kobaltem wpływa pozytywnie na gęstość i mikrostrukturę ceramiki. Większe ilości domieszki kobaltu (pow. 1,0%mol) w PFN eliminują powstawanie fazy pirochlorowej, a jednocześnie zmniejszają wartości maksymalnej przenikalności elektrycznej. Przemiana fazowa z ferroelektrycznej do paraelektrycznej fazy, w modyfikowanych składach PFN, ulega rozmyciu.

Opis:: A circle criterion is obtained for a SISO Lur'e feedback control system consisting of a nonlinear static sector-type controller and a linear boundary control system in factor form on an infinite-dimensional Hilbert state space H previously introduced by the authors (Grabowski and Callier, 1999). It is assumed for the latter that (a) the observation functional is infinite-time admissible, (b) the factor control vector satisfies a compatibility condition, and (c) the transfer function belongs to Hinfty(Pi+) and satisfies a frequency-domain inequality of the circle criterion type. We also require that the closed-loop system be well-posed, i.e. for any initial state x0in H the truncated input and output signals uT, yT belong to L2(0,T) for any T>0. The technique of the proof adapts Desoer-Vidyasagar's circle criterion method (Desoer and Vidyasagar, 1975, Ch.3, Secs.1 and 2, pp.37-43, Ch.5, Sec.2, pp.139-142 and Ch.6, Secs.3 and 4, pp.172-174]), and uses the input-output map developed by the authors (Grabowski and Callier, 2001). The results are illustrated by two transmission line examples: (a) that of the loaded distortionless RLCG type, and (b) that of the unloaded RC type. The conclusion contains a discussion on improving the results by the loop-transformation technique.

Opis:: From the moment of Poland's accession to the EU, we have been obliged to adjust the waste management system to directives issued by the European Community Council. Our waste management has been adjusted to the requirements of the European Union directives. The objective of the paper was to determine: firstly, the amount of the produced mixed municipal waste; secondly the amount of municipal waste collected in a selective manner with the use of collection methods through segregation in the place of their production using two containers located next to each other - one for collective collection of paper, cardboard and plastic and the second for collection of glass; thirdly, the size of recovered secondary raw material such as glass, plastic and paper from mixed municipal waste; fourthly, the amount of containers or plastic bags designated for selective waste collection. For execution of this objective, two establishments using various waste management systems were selected. Research was carried out in Firma Usług Komunalnych [Municiapl Services Company] "Wodnik" in Trzebnica and in Zakład Gospodarki Komunalnej [Municipal Management Establishment] in Gać, which have dealt with municipal waste sorting for many years. The research proved that the plastic bag method is more effective than segregation with the use of containers located in the neighbourhood.
Od momentu wejścia Polski do UE zobowiązani jesteśmy do dostosowania systemu gospodarki odpadami do dyrektyw wydawanych przez Radę Wspólnoty Europejskiej. Nasza gospodarka odpadami została dostosowana do wymogów dyrektyw Unii Europejskiej. Celem pracy było określenie: po pierwsze ilości wytwarzanych odpadów komunalnych zmieszanych, po drugie ilości odpadów komunalnych gromadzonych selektywnie przy wykorzystaniu metod zbiórki poprzez segregację w miejscu ich powstawania stosując dwa kontenery ustawione obok siebie – jeden do łącznego gromadzenia papieru, tektury oraz tworzywa sztucznego a drugi do gromadzenia szkła, po trzecie wielkości odzyskanych surowców wtórnych takich jak szkło, tworzywo sztuczne oraz papier z odpadów komunalnych zmieszanych, po czwarte ilości pojemników lub worków przeznaczonych do selektywnej zbiórki odpadów. Do zrealizowania tego celu wybrano dwa zakłady stosujące różne systemy zagospodarowania odpadów. Badania zostały przeprowadzone w Firmie Usług Komunalnych ,,Wodnik” w Trzebnicy oraz w Zakładzie Gospodarki Komunalnej w Gaci, które od wielu lat zajmują się sortowaniem odpadów komunalnych. Badania dowiodły, że metoda workowa jest efektywniejsza od segregacji za pomocą kontenerów ustawionych w ,,sąsiedztwie”.

Opis:: New data are presented in relation to the worldwide definition of the Oxfordian/Kimmeridgian boundary, i.e. the base of the Kimmeridgian Stage. This data, mostly acquired in the past decade, supports the 2006 proposal to make the uniform boundary of the stages in the Flodigarry section at Staffin Bay on the Isle of Skye, northern Scotland. This boundary is based on the Subboreal-Boreal ammonite successions, and it is distinguished by the Pictonia flodigarriensis horizon at the base of the Subboreal Baylei Zone, and which corresponds precisely to the base of the Boreal Bauhini Zone. The boundary lies in the 0.16 m interval (1.24–1.08 m) below bed 36 in sections F6 at Flodigarry and it is thus proposed as the GSSP for the Oxfordian/ Kimmeridgian boundary. This boundary is recognized also by other stratigraphical data – palaeontological, geochemical and palaeomagnetic (including its well documented position close to the boundary between magnetozones F3n, and F3r which is placed in the 0.20 m interval – 1.28 m to 1.48 m below bed 36 – the latter corresponding to marine magnetic anomaly M26r). The boundary is clearly recognizable also in other sections of the Subboreal and Boreal areas discussed in the study, including southern England, Pomerania and the Peri-Baltic Syneclise, Russian Platform, Northern Central Siberia, Franz-Josef Land, Barents Sea and Norwegian Sea. It can be recognized also in the Submediterranean-Mediterranean areas of Europe and Asia where it correlates with the boundary between the Hypselum and the Bimmamatum ammonite zones. The changes in ammonite faunas at the boundary of these ammonite zones – mostly of ammonites of the families Aspidoceratidae and Oppeliidae – also enables the recognition of the boundary in the Tethyan and Indo-Pacific areas – such as the central part of the Americas (Cuba, Mexico), southern America, and southern parts of Asia. The climatic and environmental changes near to the Oxfordian/Kimmeridgian boundary discussed in the study relate mostly to the European areas. They show that very unstable environments at the end of the Oxfordian were subsequently replaced by more stable conditions representing a generally warming trend during the earliest Kimmeridgian. The definition of the boundary between the Oxfordian and Kimmeridgian as given in this study results in its wide correlation potential and means that it can be recognized in the different marine successions of the World.
