Opis:
In this article, we consider the coupled Ginzburg–Landau equation with variable coefficients including the nonlinear gain and obtain the exact solutions of chirped dark vector quasi-solitons via the ansatz method. Next, the propagation of chirped dark vector quasi-solitons is discussed to verify whether they can be transmitted stably in the birefringent optical fiber system. The numerical simulation shows that this can be achieved. We deeply add the small perturbation to the transmission of dark vector quasi-solitons to make the results above more general. The results further prove the correctness of our solutions.

Opis:
Analyzing the impact coefficient of tied arch bridges considering heavy transport vehicles is important for safety assessment. There are few studies on the vehicle-bridge coupled dynamic analysis involving heavy transport vehicles passing through bridges. In order to properly evaluate the impact coefficient of heavy transport vehicles passing through tied-arch bridges, this study takes an 80 m-span tied-arch bridge as an example. Based on the ANSYS platform, a vehicle-bridge coupling model under the load of low-speed heavy transport vehicles is established. By analyzing the vibration characteristics of the vehicle-bridge coupling system, the influence of vehicle speed and load on the impact coefficient of the bridge is discussed. The results show that even when the vehicle travels at a speed of 2 m/s under Class B roughness, the maximum impact coefficient reaches 0.061 when the vehicle is 4 m/s. When evaluating the passage of heavy transport vehicles over tied-arch bridges, the impact effect should be considered even at low speeds. The influence of vehicle load on the internal force impact coefficient of tied-arch bridges is greater than that of the displacement impact coefficient. When the vehicle load is large, the impact on the bridge is small, but an excessive increase in vehicle load will increase the burden on the bridge. A load of 400 t is considered a more ideal value.

Opis:
In this paper, a control framework including active fault-tolerant control (FTC) and reference redesign is developed subject to actuator stuck failures under input saturations. FTC synthesis and reference redesign approaches are proposed to guarantee post-fault system safety and reference reachability. Then, these features are analyzed under both actuator stuck failures and constraints before fault-tolerant controller switches. As the main contribution, actuator stuck failures and constraints are unified so that they can be easily considered simultaneously. By means of transforming stuck failures into actuator constraints, the post-fault system can be regarded as an equivalent system with only asymmetrical actuator constraints. Thus, methods against actuator saturations can be used to guarantee regional stability and produce the stability region. Based on this region, stuck compensation is analyzed. Specifically, an unstable open-loop system is considered, which is more challenging. Furthermore, the method is extended to a set-point tracking problem where the reachability of the original reference can be evaluated. Then, a new optimal reference will be computed for the post-fault system if the original one is unreachable. Finally, simulation examples are shown to illustrate the theoretical results.

Opis:
The static series synchronous compensator (SSSC) has demonstrated its capability in providing voltage support and improving power system stability. The objective of this paper is to analyze the dynamic interaction stability mechanism of a hybrid renewable energy system connected with doubly-fed induction generators (DFIGs) and solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) energy with the SSSC. For this purpose, a linearized mathematical model of this modified hybrid single-machine infinite-bus (SMIB) power system is developed to analyze the physical mechanism of the SSSC in suppressing oscillations and the influence on the dynamic stability characteristics of synchronization. Typical impacting factors such as the series compensation level, the SOFC penetration and tie-line power are considered in the SMIB and two-area systems. The impact of dynamic interactions on enhancing damping characteristics and improving transient performance of the studied systems is demonstrated using eigenvalue analysis and dynamic time-domain simulations, which validates the validity of the proposed physical mechanism simultaneously.

Opis:
Obtaining the characteristics at a characteristic point of the outputs is a key step to the geomagnetic attitude measurement method of the spinning projectile. However, actual outputs usually have some noise that causes the characteristic points to deviate from the theoretical position or produce multiple fake characteristic points, resulting in the increase of solution error and even the failure of solution. In addition, the coning motion and inaccurate initial alignment of the spinning projectile increase the number of unknown parameters and the computational complexity. In this study, several improved particle swarm optimization strategies are proposed. The actual outputs are fitted to the geomagnetic output equations under the coning motion, and the supervised learning effect of each strategy is analysed and compared. The algorithm can be flexibly adjusted according to different needs in actual use by selecting appropriate strategies, which has a wide applicability in data fitting.

Opis:
To explore the mechanical response of anchored rock mass with an interaction of fatigue and creep, this paper selects the fatigue amplitude and fatigue frequency as influencing factors to carry out a fatigue-creep experiment of the anchored rock mass. Based on fractional order theory and binary perturbation theory, a new fractional order creep model is constructed. The results show that compared with the Burgers model, the newly proposed creep model can better describe the whole process of creep deformation of the anchored jointed rock mass under fatigue loading.

Opis:
In order to investigate the anti-tumor activity of a soluble B7-1/immunoglobulin G fusion protein and explore an effective method to eliminate immune escape of tumor cells, a recombinant vector encoding this fusion protein was constructed and constitutively expressed in Chinese hamster ovary cells. After purification with protein G affinity chromatography, the soluble fusion protein was tested for bioactivity. Results showed that the fusion protein could significantly increase the density of B7-1 molecules on WEHI-3 cells, a mouse leukemia cell line. Through allogeneic mixed lymphocyte tumor cultures, it was demonstrated that, with the presence of the first signal, it could also significantly enhance T cell activation and killing activity against WEHI-3 cells and interleukin-2 secretion by activated mouse T lymphocytes. The conclusion can be drawn that the soluble B7-IgG fusion protein has a potent capacity to generate or enhance anti-tumor immune response in vitro, and its clinical value deserves further investigation.

Opis:
Human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) is often a dangerous opportunistic pathogen that causes significant morbidity and mortality in newborn children and immunocompromised patients. The different symptoms and tissue tropisms of HCMV infection may result from genetic polymorphism. This study investigated the sequence variability of the HCMV US28 ORF, which shows sequence homology to the G protein-coupled receptor. HCMV isolated from suspected pediatric cases and isolates from AIDS patients were compared in order to examine the possible associations between polymorphisms and pathogenesis. Seventy children with suspected congenital HCMV infection, who suffered from jaundice (47), megacolon (10), and microcephaly (13), and 17 AIDS patients, were studied. Mutation was prevalent among the sequences of US28, with a focus on the two ends of US28. The important functional groups of US28 are highly conserved. An unrooted tree showed that all sequences from suspected congenitally infected infants and AIDS patients were divided into three groups. Comparison showed that most of the sequences (12/17) from pediatric patients were included in the first group (G1), whereas most of the sequences (11/17) from AIDS patients were included in the third group (G3). The specific high mutation sites in US28 from children were located at the C terminus of the protein, whereas those from AIDS patients were located at the N terminus. We demonstrated the existence of polymorphisms among the US28 genes of clinical isolates of HCMV from infants with suspected congenital infection. Comparison of US28 sequences from AIDS patients with those from children showed that both sequences have their own specific high mutation points.

Opis:
ObjectivesSilicosis is a chronic occupational lung disease. As was previously found by the authors, some proteins increased in the lung tissue of activated rats, and protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 2 (PTPN2), factor B, and vaccinia-related kinase 1 (VRK1) showed highly differential expressions.Material and MethodsIn this study, serum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid samples were collected from patients with silicosis and healthy people to verify the expression of PTPN2, factor B, and VRK1. The diagnostic value of differentially expressed proteins for silicosis was judged.ResultsThe expression levels of serum PTPN2, VRK1, and factor B in patients with silicosis were significantly higher than those in the control group (p < 0.01). Higher serum PTPN2 and factor B concentrations significantly and negatively correlated with the ratio of forced expiratory volume in 1 s to forced vital capacity (FEV1/FVC), maximum vital capacity (VCmax), FEV1, and FVC, suggesting that the high expression of PTPN2 and factor B is associated with decreased pulmonary ventilation function and restrictive ventilatory impairment in patients with silicosis. All area under curve (AUC) measurements generated from single detection events were >0.744, with PTPN2 reaching the highest value (0.858). The AUC, sensitivity, and specificity for the combined diagnosis using factor B and PTPN2 were 0.907, 86.91% and 85.07%, respectively, for factor B and PTPN2. The 3 differentially expressed proteins are potential classes of predictive biomarkers for silicosis.ConclusionsRegarding the economy and test practicality, the best diagnostic combination is factor B and PTPN2 for the analysis of AUC, sensitivity and specificity.

Opis:
Alveolar echinococcosis (AE) is caused by the chronic infection of E. multilocularis, whose tumor-like growth can lead to high fatality if improperly treated. The early diagnosis of infection and the treatment of advanced AE remain challenging. Herein, bulk RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, and spatial transcriptomics technologies are integrated, to reveal the host immune response mechanism against E. multilocularis both spatially and chronologically, collecting mouse liver samples at multiple timepoints up to 15 months post infection. These results unveil an unprecedented high-resolution spatial atlas of the E. multilocularis infection foci and the functional roles of neutrophils, $Spp1^{+}$ macrophages, and fibroblasts during disease progression. The heterogeneity of neutrophil and macrophage subpopulations are critical in both parasite-killing and the occurrence of immunosuppression during AE progression. These findings indicate the transition of parasite control strategy from “active killing” to “negative segregation” by the host, providing instructive insights into the treatment strategy for echinococcosis.
