Opis:
Effects of structural parameters on the vibration of a tapered non-homogeneous rectangular plate with different combinations of boundary conditions are discussed. Tapering in the plate is assumed to be sinusoidal in the x-direction. Here, temperature variation and non-homogeneity in the plate material are also considered sinusoidal in the x-direction. The Rayleigh-Ritz method is used to calculate the frequency parameter for the first two modes of vibration for different values of the structural parameters, i.e. the taper parameter, thermal gradient, aspect ratio and non-homogeneity constant. Results are obtained for three boundary conditions, i.e. clamped boundary (C-C-C-C), simply supported boundary (SS-SS-SS-SS) and clamped-simply supported boundary (CSS-C-SS). Numerical values of the frequency parameter are given in a compact tabular form.

Opis:
OJ 287 is a quasi-periodic quasar with roughly 12 year optical cycles. It displays prominent outbursts that are predictable in a binary black hole model. The model predicted a major optical outburst in 2015 December. We found that the outburst did occur within the expected time range, peaking on 2015 December 5 at magnitude 12.9 in the optical R-band. Based on Swift/XRT satellite measurements and optical polarization data, we find that it included a major thermal component. Its timing provides an accurate estimate for the spin of the primary black hole, x=0.313 $\pm$ 0.01. The present outburst also confirms the established general relativistic properties of the system such as the loss of orbital energy to gravitational radiation at the 2% accuracy level, and it opens up the possibility of testing the black hole no-hair theorem with 10% accuracy during the present decade.

Opis:
Thermal convection of a rotating dielectric micropolar fluid layer under the action of an electric field and temperature gradient has been investigated. The dispersion relation has been derived using normal mode analysis. The effects of the electric Rayleigh number, micropolar viscosity, Taylor number and Prandtl number on stability and over stability criteria are discussed. It is found that rotation postpones the instability in the fluid layer, while the Prandtl number and rotation both have a stabilizing effect. It is also observed that the micropolar fluid additives have a stabilizing effect, whereas the electric field has a destabilizing effect on the onset of convection stability.

Opis:
Among various conventional wireless communication systems, Free Space Optics (FSO) may be distinguished as well, which provides a good level security, high data rates, an enormous bandwidth and negligible susceptibility to electromagnetic interference. The main problem arises with unfavorable weather conditions, which affect the system’s parameters and require an aversion to other paths. The weather conditions discussed are rain and haze. Elimination of their adverse effects is essential for establishing a better communication system. The routing path is a major issue, as its decreased parameters lead to the diversion of the transmitted signal or to its total loss. In this article, increased system path length and proficiency levels are demonstrated by using relays, which are assisted by Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM).

Opis:
1,3,5-triamino-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene (TATB) is a kind of insensitive high explosive that can be used as an energetic material in nuclear weapon and space applications. In this work, we have studied the effect of aging on the properties of TATB from a 20 year old lot that had been in direct contact with casing and natural environment conditions. The kinetics was studied using the temperature at the maximum reaction rate (peak) and isoconversional methods from TGA and DTA data obtained at five heating rates under a nitrogen atmosphere. The properties investigated for thermal stability indicate that there is no change in the properties during prolonged exposure in natural environment conditions. The activation energy calculated by the Kissinger method was 179.9 kJ·mol−1 by DTG and the 176.9 kJ·mol−1 by DTA. The experimental results of kinetic analysis obtained by isoconversional methods are in good agreement and very close to each other. In the analysis of reaction mechanisms, the reaction models could be probably best described by a surface contraction mechanism using the Coats-Redfern and Criado methods. The thermodynamic parameters such as Gibbs free energy, enthalpy and entropy of activation were also investigated. The self-accelerating decomposition temperature (TSADT) and critical temperature for thermal explosion (Tb) were also calculated.

Opis:
In the present paper, main emphasis is given to synthesize the Stannous-Cerium oxide nanocomposites in nanofilms, nanodots and nanorods by Chemical bath method, Chemical drop method and Chemical rolling Method. These nanocomposite materials are synthesized on a glass substrate at 100 °C temperature. Crystallography investigation of these materials is done by X-ray diffraction (XRD) which reveals that average grain size is 58.9 nm and 62.3 nm for nanofilms and nanodots on glass substrate respectively whereas XRD diffraction for nanorod on glass substrate reveals that material is amorphous in nature.
