Opis:
The article presents the character and pedagogical activity of Władysław Korniłowicz –a priest, a servant of God, an educator, spiritual director and co-founder of the Work of Laski near Warsaw. After graduating from the Catholic University of Freiburg, he was ordained a priest in the chapel of the Seminary in Krakow (6 April 1912). In 1912–1914, he continued his doctoral studies in Freiburg. After returning to the country, he took up pastoral and educator’s work in various school and educational centres in Poland (including Zakopane, Warsaw, Gora Kalwaria, Leszno, Włocławek, Lublin, and Laski near Warsaw). The Reverend Korniłowicz served as school prefect, vicar in the parish, archivist and notary of the Archdiocesan Curia, censor and reviewer of textbooks for teaching religion, director of the Boarding School for Student Priests of the Catholic University of Lublin [KUL], cofounder and spiritual director of the Work of Laski (Triuno: blind, lay people and collaborators of the Society for the Care of the Blind and the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters Servants of the Cross). His formative and educational activity is situated in the current of Catholic pedagogy of culture which consists in preparing man to participate in the world of cultural values and develop spiritual forces on this basis as well as to create new values. In his formation and educational process, Fr. Korniłowicz drew on the ideas of scouting, personalism, neo-Thomism, the Franciscan movement and the Benedictine liturgical renewal.

Artykuł prezentuje życie i twórczość Silavano Faustiego – włoskiego biblisty, filozofa i teologa; współzałożyciela wspólnoty braci zakonnych i świeckich rodzin w Villapizzone (Mediolan) oraz duchowego kierownika i spowiednika kard. C.M. Martiniego. Jego pasja biblijnych poszukiwań zaowocowała imponującym dorobkiem publikacji, które propagują starożytną praktykę lectio divina, katechetyczną lekturę Pisma Świętego – katechezę narracyjną oraz rozeznawanie powołania według duchowości ignacjańskiej. Z tego dorobku korzysta wspólnota braci zakonnych i świeckich w Villapizzone oraz wiele innych wspólnot, które praktykują osobistą i wspólnotową lekturę Biblii. Metoda lectio divina, pierwotnie praktykowana w środowisku zakonnym, dzisiaj stała się dostępna dla wszystkich wierzących w Chrystusa – Słowo Życia. Medytacyjna lektura Pisma Świętego jest żywym doświadczeniem wielu osób duchownych i świeckich, autentycznym darem Boga, bez którego chrześcijanie nie potrafiliby czytać, rozważać, modlić się i żyć Słowem. Ćwiczenie się w słuchaniu słowa Bożego ułatwia poznanie „sprawy Jezusa z Nazaretu” (Dz 10,38), wzmaga pasję badawczą («łowienie/tropienie» w Biblii), czyli właściwą interpretację i aktualizację orędzia zbawienia.
The article presents the life and work of Silavano Fausti - an Italian biblical scholar, philosopher and theologian; co-founder of the community of brothers and lay families in Villapizzone (Milan) and spiritual director and confessor Cardinal C.M. Martini. His passion for biblical search has resulted in an impressive output of publications that promote the ancient lectio divina practice, catechetical reading of the Holy Scriptures - narrative catechesis and discernment of vocations according to Ignatian spirituality. The community of brothers and lay people in Villapizzone and many other communities that practice the personal and communal reading of the Bible benefit from this achievement. The lectio divina method, originally practiced in the monastic environment, has now become available to all believers in Christ - the Word of Life. The meditative reading of the Holy Scriptures is the living experience of many clergymen and lay people, an authentic gift of God, without which Christians would not be able to read, meditate, pray and live the Word. Exercising in listening to the word of God makes it easier to get to know the "case of Jesus of Nazareth" (Acts 10:38), enhances the research passion ("catching/tracking" in the Bible), that is, proper interpretation and updating of the message of salvation.

Katecheza inicjacyjna obejmuje różne formy nauczania i wychowania prowadzące do przygotowania do przyjęcia sakramentów wtajemniczenia chrześcijańskiego. Ten rodzaj katechezy jest realizowany w ramach programu Młodzi na progu jako materiał do pracy z młodymi ludźmi przygotowującymi się do sakramentu bierzmowania w swoich parafiach. Jest to swoisty sposób by odpowiedzieć na pytanie: Jak pomóc bierzmowanym pozostać w Kościele i być Kościołem? Zasadniczym celem programu jest zachęcenie uczestników spotkań formacyjnych do pracy nad własnym rozwojem, zarówno intelektualnym, jak i duchowym. W tym programie najbardziej dominującymi aspektami są aspekty egzystencjalne, kerygmatyczne i mistagogiczne. Oznacza to, że program stara się budzić wiarę i towarzyszyć młodym ludziom w ich przygotowaniu do przyjęcia sakramentu. Współczesna katecheza powinna być katechezą o życiu, które „nie tylko daje pomysły, ale również towarzyszy nam w naszej pielgrzymce” (Franciszek, Evangelii gaudium, 156–175).
Initiatory catechesis includes different forms of teaching and upbringing leading to the preparation for receiving the sacraments of Christian initiation. This type of catechesis is realized by the programme Youth on the threshold as material for work with young people preparing in their parish for the sacrament of confirmation. It is a unique way of answering the question: How to help the confirmands remain in the Church and be the Church? A crucial purpose of the programme is to encourage the members of formative meetings to work on their own human development, both intellectual and spiritual. In this programme, the most dominant are existential, kerygmatic and mystagogic aspects, which means it arouses faith and tries to accompany young people in their preparation for receiving the sacrament. Contemporary catechesis should be the catechesis of life which “not only gives ideas but also accompanies us in our pilgrimage” (Francis, Evangelii gaudium, 156–175).

Opis:
The article is an attempt to organically grasp gerontological pedagogy and spirituality – upbringing in the perspective of old age. Pedagogy of the last part of human life is one of the youngest disciplines of general pedagogy. We are currently witnessing its dynamic growth connected with global demographic changes, the development of medicine and constant extension of life-span, a result of which is the positive perception of the issue of old age and an urgent need for professional medical care but also appropriate organic gerontology. This is because what determines the value of life is not one’s age but rather whether it was well lived and developed wisely and beautifully. What is crucial is the final result (aim/end) of a complex process of teaching and upbringing of a human being. The declaration of Christian upbringing sees a man not only in the social-cultural but also in the transcendent perspective (Declaration on Christian Education 1). The text points out the ancient and biblical sources of pedagogy and spirituality of “the autumn of life”, targets and tasks of this type of education, especially in the perspective of the final destination and present gerontogogical propositions.
Artykuł jest próbą organicznego ujęcia pedagogiki i duchowości gerontologicznej – wychowania w perspektywie starości. Pedagogika ostatniego okresu życia ludzkiego jest jedną z najmłodszych dyscyplin pedagogiki ogólnej. Współcześnie obserwuje się jej dynamiczny rozwój, związany z globalnymi zmianami demograficznymi, postępem medycyny oraz stale wydłużającym się wiekiem życia, stąd też wzrasta pozytywne postrzeganie problemu starości i pilna potrzeba nie tylko fachowej opieki lekarskiej, ale również właściwej organicznej edukacji gerontologicznej. O wartości życia nie decyduje bowiem liczba lat, ale to, czy było ono dobrze przeżyte oraz mądre i pięknie rozwijane. Istotny jest końcowy efekt (cel/kres) złożonego procesu nauczania i wychowania człowieka. Deklaracja o wychowaniu chrześcijańskim widzi go nie tylko w perspektywie społeczno-kulturowej, lecz również w perspektywie transcendentnej (DWCH 1). Tekst wskazuje na antyczne i biblijne źródła pedagogiki i duchowości „w jesieni wieku”, cele i zadania tego typu edukacji, zwłaszcza w perspektywie celu ostatecznego oraz współczesne propozycje gerontologiczne.
