Opis:
The paper explores the possibility of creating an underwater apparatus in the form of a body of rotation. The form of the device will allow to effectively examine the found underwater objects, the bottom topography, measurement of other parameters of the underwater environment or objects. The devices of a different streamlined body form are considered. The apparatus in the form of a rotation body is proposed. The geometric shape of the proposed apparatus, the system of motion and control are investigated. Methods for calculating the motion parameters, methods for the vehicle positioning in the flow and the underwater vehicle movement in the vertical plane are proposed. The study confirms the ability of the underwater vehicle to move under water in a horizontal and vertical directions. The study confirms that the device possess stability at rectilinear motion, good turning ability and at the same time it is able to position itself during the flow.

Opis:
Room-temperature optically pumped (Zn,Mg)(S,Se)/(Zn,Cd)Se laser structures have been grown by molecular beam epitaxy. Using of alternatively-strained short-period superlattice waveguide results in low threshold power density values over the whole blue-green (470-520 nm) wavelength range. Incorporation of CdSe fractional monolayer active region provides more than fourfold further decrease in threshold with respect to quantum well laser structure. Optical and structural properties of laser structure with 2.8 monolayer CdSe are discussed in detail.

Opis:
The ECR laboratory of the Cyclotron Centrum of Slovak Republic (CC SR) in Bratislava, Slovakia, consists of the DECRIS 14-2m ion source and two low energy channels. It is a complete injector, consisting of an ECR ion source, focusing and steering elements, an analyzing magnet, a vacuum system, and an ion beam diagnostic system. The DECRIS 14-2m ion source is a multiply charged heavy ion source based on the electron cyclotron resonance principle. The ECR ion source DECRIS 14-2m and other system have been designed and manufactured at the FLNR JINR. The preliminary testing (magnetic field measurements, vacuum testing and testing of ECR ion source) has been performed at FLNR JINR. The final assembly of the DECRIS 14-2m will be done at the CC SR in Bratislava.

Opis:
Very rare chondrichthyan spines from the Famennian (Upper Devonian) of European Russia are referred here to ctenacanthiforms, euselachians and a chondrichthyan group of uncertain systematic position. Ctenacanthus Agassiz, 1837 is recorded from the lower and middle Famennian of the central and north-western parts of the area. Sculptospina makhlaevi Lebedev gen. et sp. nov. originates from the lower Famennian of the Lipetsk Region. The holotype of ‘Ctenacanthus’ jaekeli Gross, 1933 and a new specimen from the upper Famennian of the South Urals are shown to belong to the same taxon, which is transferred to Acondylacanthus St. John and Worthen, 1875. New specimens of Tuberospina nataliae Lebedev, 1995 from the upper Famennian of Central Russia are described in detail. The newly presented material increases our knowledge of the composition of Famennian marine assemblages from the East European Platform. It is suggested that these assemblages may be classified as chondrichthyan-dominated and dipnoan-dominated. Hypothetically, after the end- Devonian Hangenberg extinction event, which affected numerous secondary consumers in vertebrate communities, some chondrichthyan groups could have encroached to take advantage of previously occupied ecological niches. Ctenacanthus, as well as Acondylacanthus and Amelacanthus survived the end-Devonian mass extinction to continue into the Carboniferous.

Opis:
Miniband transport in alternatively-strained ZnCdSe/ZnSSe short period superlattices is investigated using a structure with an enlarged quantum well. Temperature dependences of time-resolved and continuous wave photoluminescence have been measured, demonstrating an efficient temperature-induced vertical hole transport. A quantitative description is given for the carrier kinetics in these structures.
