Opis:
The objective of this work is to evaluate the safety of adult and child passengers exposed to a radio frequency (RF) source, i.e., a leaky coaxial cable (LCX) on the subway platform. An adult model, a child model, and an LCX model have been numerically designed in COMSOL Multiphysics software. The distributions of the induced electric field (E-field), specific absorption rate (SAR), magnetic field ( H-field) and the head temperature increase in adult and child passenger models were calculated at 900 MHz. The induced fields in the passengers were compared with that without screen doors. The results show that the E-field, SAR and H-field in the whole body of the child are 2.00 × 10 -2 V/m, 1.07 × 10 -7 W/kg, and 2.94 × 10 -4 A/m, respectively. The E-field, SAR and H-field in the central nervous system of the child are 1.00e × 10 -2 V/m, 2.44 × 10 -8 W/kg, and 2.41 × 10 -4 A/m, respectively. The maximum values of the E-field, SAR and H-field in the adult passenger are 1.49–2.34 times higher than those of the child. The E-field, SAR, and H-field in the passenger models without a screen door are larger than those with a screen door. The screen door has a partial shielding effect on the RF electromagnetic field. The values of the maximum temperature that increases in adult and child head tissue are 0.2114 and 0.2111℃ after waiting 6 minutes exposure, respectively. All calculated results are well below the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) limits for general public exposure, indicating that RF electromagnetic exposure caused by the LCX on the subway platform is not a threat to passenger’s health.

Opis:
Elliptical Gaussian beam (EGB) has many different physical properties from circular Gaussian beam. In this paper, the transverse energy flux and intensity of one and two coherent EGBs are studied. In our simulation, the transverse energy flux and intensity varying with waist ratio are discussed in detail. It has been found that through increasing the waist ratio, the transverse energy flux after interference would be strengthened significantly. Although the transverse energy flux is much weaker than the longitudinal energy flux, its signal to noise ratio has been verified to be strong enough for detection. Our derivations are still reasonable for another simulation with general experimental parameters. The simulation results are considered to be helpful for some physical experiments using the transverse energy flux of Gaussian beam, such as an important application in electromagnetic response produced by interaction of high-frequency gravitational waves.

Opis:
Tetrazene [1-(5-tetrazolyl)-4-guanyltetrazene hydrate] is widely used in ordnance systems as a sensitizer of primer compositions, for use in both percussion and stab applications. It can be synthesized by reacting aminoguanidinium bicarbonate (AGB) with sodium nitrite (NaNO2) in the presence of acetic acid. However, little is known about its optimal synthesis parameters in the manufacturing process. In this study, Taguchi's experimental design method was used to further improve the yield of tetrazene. Under the condition that the molar ratio of AGB to NaNO2 was fixed at 1.0:1.2, a L9(33) orthogonal array with three control factors and three levels for each control factor was used to design nine experimental conditions. The experimental data were transformed into a signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio to analyze and evaluate the experimental conditions of the optimal parameter combination for the maximum yield of tetrazene. Verification of the results indicated that the optimal synthesis parameters were as follows: pH value of AGB solution was 5.0, reaction temperature was 35 °C and reaction time was 6 h; the maximum yield of tetrazene could reach 83.7%. Furthermore, the synthesized tetrazene was identified and characterized by elemental analysis (EA), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), optical microscopy (OM),particle size distribution analysis (PSDA), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and its impact sensitivity was determined using a BAM Fallhammer apparatus and the Bruceton analysis method.

Opis:
Purpose: To evaluate the performance of a combined clinical-radiomics model using multiple machine learning approaches for predicting pathological differentiation in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Material and methods: A total of 196 patients with pathologically confirmed HCC, who underwent preoperative computed tomography (CT) were retrospectively enrolled (training: n = 156; validation: n = 40). The modelling process included the folowing: (1) clinical model construction through logistic regression analysis of risk factors; (2) radiomics model development by comparing 6 machine learning classifiers; and (3) integration of optimal clinical and radiomic features into a combined model. Model performance was assessed using the area under the curve (AUC), calibration curves, and decision curve analysis (DCA). A nomogram was constructed for clinical implementation. Results: Two clinical risk factors (BMI and CA153) were identified as independent predictors of differentiated HCC. The clinical model showed moderate performance (AUC: training = 0.705, validation = 0.658). The radiomics model demonstrated improved prediction capability (AUC: training = 0.840, validation = 0.716). The combined model achieved the best performance in differentiating HCC pathological grades (AUC: training = 0.878, validation = 0.747). Conclusions: The integration of CT radiomics features with clinical parameters through machine learning provides a promising non-invasive approach for predicting HCC pathological differentiation. This combined model could serve as a valuable tool for preoperative treatment planning.

Opis:
All-optical logic is the key to future high speed and large capacity optical transmission, the realization of optical packet switching and optical computing, and it has a very profound influence on the development of future optical communication. A linear optical amplifier as a new type of semiconductor optical amplifier, which has a good gain characteristic, has better signal performance than a traditional semiconductor optical amplifier in the wavelength conversion. This article presents a numerical simulation model of all-optical logic XOR gate and its logic operation based on cross-gain modulation of linear optical amplifier, and has also completed some of the basic logic operations, including AND, OR, NOT operations.

Opis:
The concept of generalized $k$-connectivity $ \kappa_k (G) $, mentioned by Hager in 1985, is a natural generalization of the path-version of the classical connectivity. The pendant tree-connectivity $ \tau_k (G) $ was also introduced by Hager in 1985, which is a specialization of generalized $k$-connectivity but a generalization of the classical connectivity. Another generalized connectivity of a graph $G$, named $k$-connectivity $ \kappa_k^' (G) $, introduced by Chartrand et al. in 1984, is a generalization of the cut-version of the classical connectivity. In this paper, we get the lower and upper bounds for the difference of $ \kappa_k^' (G) $ and $ \tau_k(G) $ by showing that for a connected graph $G$ of order $n$, if $ \kappa_k^' (G) \ne n − k + 1 $ where $ k \ge 3 $, then $ 1 \le \kappa_k^' (G) − \tau_k (G) \le n − k $; otherwise, $ 1 \le κ_k^' (G) − \tau_k(G) \le n − k + 1 $. Moreover, all of these bounds are sharp. We get a sharp upper bound for the 3-connectivity of the Cartesian product of any two connected graphs with orders at least 5. Especially, the exact values for some special cases are determined. Among our results, we also study the pendant tree-connectivity of Cayley graphs on Abelian groups of small degrees and obtain the exact values for $ \tau_k(G) $, where $G$ is a cubic or 4-regular Cayley graph on Abelian groups, $ 3 \le k \le n $.

Opis:
This study presents mechanical spectroscopy of bearing steel subjected to different heat treatments. A non-thermally activated maximum, P1, was found at 130°C, in quenched martensitic samples, which were austenitized at 1050°C and 860°C, and presented twin martensite microstructures. It is suggested that the mechanism of the P1 maximum, observed on the low-temperature side of Snoek-Köster peak, is related to the change of defect configurations in twinned martensite assisted with high mobility of the solute carbon atoms under an external harmonic stress field applied during mechanical loss measurements.

Opis:
In order to obtain the minimum size, thickness and safe separation distance, for the cube-shaped transfer charges used in MEMS (micro-electromechanical system) explosive trains, an explosive train using a JO-9C(III) cube-shaped transfer charge was designed for experimental research. Detonation transfer experiments and detonation interruption experiments were conducted in turn. In initial experiments, the electric detonators were all in the armed position, but different thicknesses of the cube-shaped transfer charges were used. In the later experiments, the thickness of the transfer charges were unchanged, but the separation distances were different. The detonation path of the transfer charge under unsafe conditions was analyzed using the shock wave attenuation law. The results showed that the minimum thickness ranged from 0.2 mm to 0.4 mm, the minimum safe separation distance ranged from 0.4 mm to 0.6 mm; and the cube-shaped transfer charge is detonated by a shock wave from a steel gap rather than air clearance when the safe separation distance is less than the minimum threshold. The thickness design value of the cube-shaped transfer charge (JO-9C(III)) should not be less than 0.6 mm, and the safe separation distance design value of the MEMS explosive train should not be less than 1 mm.
