Opis:
Manufacturing errors (MEs) are unavoidable in product fabrication. The omnipresence of manufacturing errors (MEs) in product engineering necessitates the development of robust optimization methodologies. In this research, a novel approach based on the morphological operations and interval field (MOIF) theory is proposed to address MEs in the discrete-variable-based topology optimization procedures. On the basis of a methodology for deterministic topology optimization (TO) based on the Min-Cut, MOIF introduces morphological operations to generate geometrical variations, while the dimension of the structuring element is dynamically set by the interval field function’s output. The effectiveness of the proposed approach as a powerful tool for accounting for spatially uneven ME in the TOs has been demonstrated.

Opis:
Insulin is an important peptide hormone for the glucose metabolism. The structural flexibility of insulin B chain attracts a lot of our attention for understanding the biological activity. Our work carried out the extensive sampling to statistically clarify the structural changes of isolated $T_{6}$ human insulin B chain. We introduced the Landau free energy to describe the isolated insulin B chain whose experimental structure locates a local energy minimum. Its trained model was subjected to thousands of heating and cooling circles between the high and low temperatures. Six typical structure clusters were found by classifying the final generated structures with RMSD and radius of gyration. The structures in clusters indicate the potential deformations of insulin B chain at residues 5-8 of N-terminus, residues 9-12 of central helix and residues 24-29 of C-terminus, which agrees with the experimental results.

The digital economy provides China's manufacturing industry with a pathway to establish new national competitive advantages and is an essential driving force for the high-quality advancement of green marketing. Utilizing data from 30 Chinese provinces from 2013 to 2022, this study employs the spatial Durbin model to investigate the spatial relationship between the digital economy and the advancement of green marketing at a high quality. The findings indicate that the growth of the digital economy significantly fosters high-quality development in green marketing and exhibits positive spatial spillover effects on neighboring regions. The Application of spatial Durbin regression to multi-province areas has revealed that the more economically developed the region, significantly influences of the digital economy on the high-quality development of green marketing, with a local siphoning phenomenon currently visible in the eastern region. The western region exhibits a spatially positive spillover effect from the high-quality development of green marketing in other regions. Furthermore, developing the digital economy in neighboring regions significantly enhances the high-quality development of green marketing in this region. The findings remain stable when evaluated using the alternative variables method and the control fixed effects approach.

Nowadays, there are many watermarking algorithms based on wavelet transform. The simple one is to insert directly the watermark into the wavelet transform coefficients. However, most of the existing watermarking schemes can only resist traditional signal processing attacks, such as image compression, noise and filtering. When the watermarked image is subject to geometric transformations, especially rotation attack, it is hard to detect the watermark successfully. In this paper, a digital watermarking algorithm is proposed based on 4-level discrete wavelet transform and discrete fractional angular transform. To enhance the security of the algorithm, the watermark is scrambled with the simplicity of Arnold transform and chaos-based mix optical bistability model, since the chaos is pseudorandom and sensitive to the initial values. And the watermark is embedded into the medium frequency sub-band of the 1-level wavelet decomposition according to the Harris feature point detection. Simulation results show that the proposed digital watermarking algorithm by combining 4-level discrete wavelet transform with discrete fractional angular transform could resist rotation attack and other common attacks.

This paper takes a 50 kW interior permanent magnet brushless DC motor as an example, and explores the influence of the degree of stator slot skew on the overall motor magnetic density and air gap magnetic density; then reveals the influences of stator slot skewed structure on a series of key electromagnetic properties like no-load back electromotive force (B-EMF), cogging torque, electromagnetic torque, torque fluctuation, electromagnetic loss, input power, output power and operating efficiency. On this basis, a relatively best range of the skew degrees is obtained. The research work in this paper has direct reference value for the further improvement of design and manufacture, operation and maintenance, control and protection of such motors.

Opis:
Temperature-dependent experiments are a rapidly growing area of interest for low-field NMR. In this work, we present a new device for wide-range temperature control for single-sided NMR instruments. The presented device, called CAT, is simple to build, inexpensive, and easy to modify to accommodate different samples. We present the capabilities of the device using a freezing temperature study of acetic acid/water mixtures. Additionally, we present the stability of the device over long measurement times. We believe that by introducing such a device with an open-source design, we allow researchers to use it in a wide range of applications and to fully incorporate variable-temperature studies in the world of single-sided instruments.

Opis:
Direct and indirect effects of crustacean zooplankton (cladocerans and copepods) are important regulators of ciliate communities, especially in eutrophic systems. However, it is not clear whether pseudodiaptomids (e.g., Schmackeria), one of the dominant calanoid copepods in Chinese lakes, effectively impacts natural ciliate communities. The impacts of small-bodied cladocerans (e.g., Bosmina) on ciliates are also controversial. We performed an incubation experiment using winter lake water from Lake Chaohu to assess the structuring effects that crustacean zooplankton have on natural ciliate populations. The presence and absence of cladocerans (Bosmina sp.) and copepods (Schmackeria inopinus) were alternated in four treatments. Both Bosmina sp. and Schmackeria inopinus had substantial impacts on ciliate abundance, biomass, and community structure. The response of ciliates was different in the presence of Bosmina sp. compared with Schmackeria inopinus and varied among categories such as the ciliate population, relative body size and functional feeding group. Our results also highlight the importance of interference and exploitative competition among metazooplankton groups.

Cytosine modifications in DNA such as 5-methylcytosine (5mC) underlie a broad range of developmental processes, maintain cellular lineage specification, and can define or stratify types of cancer and other diseases. However, the wide variety of approaches available to interrogate these modifications has created a need for harmonized materials, methods, and rigorous benchmarking to improve genome-wide methylome sequencing applications in clinical and basic research.
