Opis:
Micro-defects detection in solidified castings of aluminum alloy has always been a hot topic, and the method employed is mainly depends upon the size and shape of the specimens. In present paper, the amount and distribution characters of micro-defects in a series of 2219 aluminum alloy ingot, with diameters of φ1380 mm, φ1250 mm, φ1000 mm, φ850 mm and φ630 mm, prepared by direct chill casting were investigated by means of metallographic, respectively. Samples were cut along the radius directionfrom slices in the steady casting stage. The result reveals that typical micro-defects are consist of inclusions, porosity and shrinkage under optical microscope, and the total amount of micro-defect per unit area in an ingot slightly decreased with the increase of its diameter. Meanwhile, defects were classified into 2 types according to its size, the results suggesting that defects greater than 40 μm account for the largest proportion among the counted two kinds of defects. Moreover, the distribution of defects greater than 40 μm along the radial direction was detected, its amount increases as its distance from the side, indicating that the micro-defects greater than 40 μm distributed the most in the center zone of ingots and the larger the ingot diameter, the more obvious the tendency was.

This study demonstrates how algorithms can assist humans in decision-making in the apparel industry. A two-stage method including suggestions and intelligent forecasting was proposed. In the first stage, a web crawler was used to browse a B2C apparel website to identify popular products. In the second stage, machine learning methods were used to predict the sales demand for new products. Additionally, we used Google Trends to collect external information indices to adjust the demand forecasting. Our numerical study shows that the intelligent forecasting approach can effectively reduce the Mean Square Error (MSE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) by at least 45.79, 26.35, and 26.34 %, respectively.

Opis:
Wind power has been widely used in the past decade because of its safety and cleanness. Double fed induction generator (DFIG), as one of the most popular wind turbine generators, suffers from degradation. Therefore, reliability assessment for this type of generator is of great significance. The DFIG can be characterized as a multi-state system (MSS) whose components have more than two states. However, due to the limited data and/or vague judgments from experts, it is difficult to obtain the accurate values of the states and thus it inevitably contains epistemic uncertainty. In this paper, the fuzzy universal generating function (FUGF) method is utilized to conduct the reliability assessment of the DFIG by describing the states using fuzzy numbers. First, the fuzzy states of the DFIG system’s components are defined and the entire system state is calculated based the system structure function. Second, all components’ states are determined as triangular fuzzy numbers (TFN) according to experts’ experiences. Finally, the reliability assessment of the DFIG based on the FUGF is conducted.

Based on the electromagnetic thermal coupling analysis method, the cooling performance of different motor cooling models and the influence of key parameters of the cooling system on the cooling effect of the motor are investigated. First, the losses of various parts of the permanent magnet synchronous motors are obtained through electromagnetic calculations; the analysis results show that the stator core loss, winding copper loss, and eddy current loss of permanent magnets exceed 95% of the total loss of the motor. Second, the cooling performance of the three motor was compared and analyzed. The axial housing liquid cooling and oil spray cooling (Model B) has a better cooling performance and a higher cooling efficiency. Compared with the other two motor models, Model B can reduce the time to reach steady-state temperature by about 81.8%.Then the effects of coolant volume flow rate, coolant inlet temperature, and ambient temperature on the cooling effect of the motor are investigated. The results show that within a certain range, the rate of coolant inlet temperature change is approximately proportional to the internal temperature rise of the motor. The oil spray cooling system of Model B is less affected by ambient temperature and can be used for motor cooling in complex environments. The results of this study can provide a useful guidance for the design of the cooling system and the selection of coolant volume flow rate for oil-cooling motor with hairpin windings.

Opis:
The fatigue life prediction of wire ropes has two main characteristics: a large test sample size and uncertain factors. In this paper, based on the small number of wire rope fatigue life data, the grey particle filter method has been used to realize the fatigue life prediction of wire rope under different load conditions. First, the GOM(1,1) model is constructed and the reliability life data of wire rope is predicted under small sample size. Then, P-S-N curve of the dangerous part is determined by combining the equivalent alternating stress of the dangerous part of the wire rope during the fatigue test. Subsequently, the particle filter method is used to modify P-S-N curve. Finally, the fatigue life prediction model of wire rope is obtained based on fatigue damage accumulation, which realized the fatigue life prediction under different load conditions, and the results were compared with that from the test. The results show that the proposed method is effective and has high accuracy in wire rope fatigue life prediction under single, combined loading conditions and small sample size.

Biological nitrogen fixation is a fundamental part of ecosystem functioning. Anthropogenic nitrogen deposition and climate change may, however, limit the competitive advantage of nitrogen-fixing plants, leading to reduced relative diversity of nitrogen-fixing plants. Yet, assessments of changes of nitrogen-fixing plant long-term community diversity are rare. Here, we examine temporal trends in the diversity of nitrogen-fixing plants and their relationships with anthropogenic nitrogen deposition while accounting for changes in temperature and aridity. We used forest-floor vegetation resurveys of temperate forests in Europe and the United States spanning multiple decades. Nitrogen-fixer richness declined as nitrogen deposition increased over time but did not respond to changes in climate. Phylogenetic diversity also declined, as distinct lineages of N-fixers were lost between surveys, but the “winners” and “losers” among nitrogen-fixing lineages varied among study sites, suggesting that losses are context dependent. Anthropogenic nitrogen deposition reduces nitrogen-fixing plant diversity in ways that may strongly affect natural nitrogen fixation.

Recently, an increasing number of communicative practices are moving to the Internet: the intensity of language use on the Internet is increasing, where a special communicative environment, a special communicative space arises. A special area of research devoted to the study of the linguistics of the Internet is also emerging. Therefore, consideration of the term “Internet communication” should begin with the characteristics of the place in which this type of communication once appeared and is now actively functioning. The Internet is a worldwide system of interconnected computer networks for storing and transmitting information. Often referred to as the World Wide Web and the Global Network, as well as simply the Network. The main areas of use of the Internet are media, e-business, multimedia, communication, communication, etc. This definition primarily emphasizes the technological component of the Network. However, as part of our study, it is worth considering more “humanitarian” definitions. For example, researchers consider the Internet from the point of view of socio-philosophical positions, as a special phenomenon based on network principles of information exchange, “the interactivity of communication interactions, new ways of modeling objective reality, new technologies for transmitting information flows and a fundamentally new technology – personal computers”. Scientists consider the Internet through the prism of the sociology of communications, emphasizing that the Network represents “a man-made, informational and socio-psychoanthropological component of a person’s life context.” According to them, the Internet as a means of social communication reveals such binary properties as “activity / passivity of the social subject of the information world; the fragmentation/harmony of human social existence in the information society and the inconsistency/consistency of the content of social influence in the information world”. Business English, business discourse, and political discourse are interconnected in various ways, primarily because they all involve communication strategies aimed at achieving specific goals within their respective contexts.
