Opis:
The production of $\Sigma^{0}$ hyperons in proton proton collisions at a beam kinetic energy of 3.5 GeV impinging on a liquid hydrogen target was investigated using data collected with the HADES setup. The total production cross section is found to be $\sigma(pK^{+} \Sigma^{0})$ = 17.7 $\pm$ 1.7(stat) $\pm$ 1.6(syst) μb. Differential cross section distributions of the exclusive channel $pp \to pK^{+} \Sigma^{0}$ were analyzed in the center-of-mass, Gottfried–Jackson and helicity reference frames for the first time at the excess energy of 556 MeV. The data support the interplay between pion and kaon exchange mechanisms and clearly demonstrate the contribution of interfering nucleon resonances decaying to $K^{+} \Sigma^{0}$. The Bonn–Gatchina partial wave analysis was employed to analyse the data. Due to the limited statistics, it was not possible to obtain an unambiguous determination of the relative contribution of intermediate nucleon resonances to the final state. However nucleon resonances with masses around 1.710 GeV/c$^{2}$ (N* (1710)) and 1.900 GeV/c$^{2}$ N* (1900) or $\Delta$* (1900)) are preferred by the fit.

Opis:
The knowledge of baryonic resonance properties and production cross sections plays an important role for the extraction and understanding of medium modifications of mesons in hot and/or dense nuclear matter. We present and discuss systematics on dielectron and strangeness production obtained with HADES on p+p, p+A and A+A collisions in the few GeV energy regime with respect to these resonances.

Opis:
Data on inclusive dielectron production are presented for the reaction p+p at 2.2 GeV measured with the high acceptance dielectron spectrometer (HADES). Our results supplemented data obtained earlier in this bombarding energy regime with the dilepton spectrometer (DLS) and HADES. The comparison with the 2.09 GeV DLS data is discussed. The reconstructed $e^{+}e^{−}$ pair distributions are confronted with simulations, revealing an excess yield at invariant masses around 0.5 GeV/c$^{2}$. Inclusive cross sections of neutral pion and \eta production are obtained.

Opis:
We present the inclusive invariant mass, transverse momentum and rapidity distributions of dielectrons ($e^{+}e^{-}$ pairs) in p+p interactions at 3.5GeV beam kinetic energy. In the vector meson mass region, a distinct peak corresponding to direct $\omega$ decays is reconstructed with a 2% mass resolution. The data is compared to predictions from three model calculations. Due to the large acceptance of the HADES apparatus for $e^{+}e^{-}$ invariant masses above 0.2 GeV/c$^{2}$ and for transverse pair momenta $p_{t}$ < 1 GeV/c, acceptance corrections are, to a large extent, model independent. This allows us to extract from dielectron data for the first time at this energy the inclusive production cross-sections for light vector mesons. Inclusive production cross-sections for $\pi^{\circ}$ and $\eta$ mesons are also reported. The obtained results will serve as an important reference for the study of vector meson production in proton-nucleus and heavy-ion collisions. Furthermore, using this data, an improved value for the upper bound of the branching ratio for direct \eta decays into the electron-positron channel is obtained.
