Opis:: This paper identifies a lost Old Tibetan version of the MūlasarvāstivādaEkottarakarmaśataka (hereafter, EK) as preserved in Dunhuang Tibetan fragments. It firstly gives a brief introduction to the related Tibetan manuscripts Pelliot tibétain 945 and Indian Office Library Tibetan J 596, and then analyses the textual nature of the Old Tibetan version of the EK preserved in these manuscripts by comparing with its cognate Chinese version, i.e., Genbenshuoyiqieyoubu baiyijiemo 根本說一切有部百一羯磨 (T 1453) translated by Yi Jing 義淨 (635–713 ce). Then, it focuses on the passage of the tarjanīyakarman (Tib. bsdigs pa’i las, Chin. 令怖羯磨), one of the ecclesiastical rituals for punishment in the Buddhist Order, as seen in the Old Tibetan version of the EK. It reveals that the tarjanīyakarman passage therein is textually related to, even derived mutatis mutandis from, Pāṇḍulohitakavastu. In sum, this paper introduces for the first time the ‘true’ Tibetan version of the EK long forgotten yet preserved in Dunhuang, and attempts to show its affiliation with the Mūlasarvāstivāda tradition.

Opis:: Ayant adopté une position pro-maoïste pendant les années 1970, Philippe Sollers part en Chine pendant 3 semaines en 1974 pour témoigner du grand succès de la Révolution culturelle (1966-1976). Selon l’écrivain, directeur de la revue Tel Quel, la révolution doit passer par l’écriture et par la théorie. Néanmoins, la Chine qu’il découvre durant le séjour semble s’éloigner de la Chine rêvée avant le départ… En s’appuyant sur des articles publiés par Tel Quel, notre étude cherche à montrer comment la Chine de Mao, idéalisée par un discours idéologique, se transforme en un réel théâtralisé que le peuple chinois est obligé de mettre en scène devant les touristes qui sont autorisés à visiter la Chine.
Having adopted a pro-Maoist position during the 1970s, Philippe Sollers went to China for three weeks in 1974 to witness the great success of the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976). According to the writer, director of the magazine Tel Quel, the revolution must be achieved through writing and theory. Nevertheless, the China he discovered during his stay seemed to be far from the China he had dreamt of before his departure... Based on articles published by Tel Quel, the paper seeks to show how Mao's China, idealized in ideological discourse, is transformed into a dramatized reality that the Chinese people are obliged to stage in front of the tourists allowed to visit China.

Opis:: Thomassen, [Edge-disjoint Hamiltonian paths and cycles in tournaments, J. Combin. Theory Ser. B 28 (1980) 142–163] proved that every strong tournament has a pair of arc-disjoint Hamiltonian paths with distinct initial vertices and distinct terminal vertices if and only if it is not an almost transitive tournament of odd order. As a subclass of local tournaments, Li et al. [Arc-disjoint Hamiltonian cycles in round decomposable local tournaments, Discuss. Math. Graph Theory 38 (2018) 477–490] confirmed the existence of such two paths in 2-strong round decomposable local tournaments. In this paper, we show that every strong, but not 2-strong, round decomposable local tournament contains a pair of arc-disjoint Hamiltonian paths with distinct initial vertices and distinct terminal vertices except for three classes of digraphs. Thus Thomassen's result is partly extended to round decomposable local tournaments. In addition, we also characterize strong round digraphs which contain a pair of arc-disjoint Hamiltonian paths with distinct initial vertices and distinct terminal vertices.

Opis:: Nowadays, research in second language acquisition (SLA) is becoming increasingly interdisciplinary while many technical frontiers and research hotspots have emerged. Many studies focus on interdisciplinary topics, but few in-depth studies have been conducted on interdisciplinarity. This study examined the interdisciplinarity of SLA and the interdisciplinary development process using a bibliometrics approach. The study has found that the SLA discipline has played roles as both the provider and recipient of knowledge in the development of interdisciplines. In the first case, SLA theories and methods flow into the research areas of life sciences and technology to form interdisciplinary studies with brain research, neurology, cognition, computer technology, and engineering, making SLA a provider of knowledge In the second case, SLA research receives knowledge from areas of arts and humanities and social sciences as well as from interdisciplinary studies within its own discipline, making SLA a receiver of knowledge. The new insights into the interdisciplinarity of SLA provided in this study are helpful for our deeper understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of the SLA discipline.

Opis:: For a strong digraph D, the restricted arc-connectivity $\lambda^'(D)$ is defined as the minimum cardinality over all restricted arc-cuts $S$ satisfying that $D-S$ has a non-trivial strong component $D_1$ such that $D-V(D_1)$ contains an arc. In this paper, we prove that a strong oriented black graph $D$ with $ \text{diam}(D)\leq 2l_2-2$ is $\lambda^'$-optimal if $\delta(D) \geq 2$ and $D$ is super-$\lambda^'$ if $\delta(D)\geq 3$, where $l_2$ is a parameter related with path lengths of $D$.

Opis:: Guo [Outpaths in semicomplete multipartite digraphs, Discrete Appl. Math. 95 (1999) 273–277] proposed the concept of the outpath in digraphs. An outpath of a vertex x (an arc xy, respectively) in a digraph is a directed path starting at x (an arc xy, respectively) such that x does not dominate the end vertex of this directed path. A k-outpath is an outpath of length k. The outpath is a generalization of the directed cycle. A c-partite tournament is an orientation of a complete c-partite graph. In this paper, we investigate outpaths of arcs in regular 3-partite tournaments. We prove that every arc of an r-regular 3-partite tournament has 2- (when r ≥ 1), 3- (when r ≥ 2), and 5-, 6-outpaths (when r ≥ 3). We also give the structure of an r-regular 3-partite tournament D with r ≥ 2 that contains arcs which have no 4-outpaths. Based on these results, we conjecture that for all k ∈ {1, 2, . . ., r − 1}, every arc of r-regular 3-partite tournaments with r ≥ 2 has (3k − 1)- and 3k-outpaths, and it has a (3k + 1)-outpath except an r-regular 3-partite tournament.

Opis:: Allergic diseases afflict many people worldwide. Allergic inflammation encompassing acute allergic reaction and chronic inflammatory response is the major pathogenesis. To discovery novel therapeutic approach for allergic diseases, we have evaluated the anti-allergic inflammatory effects of irisflorentin using RBL-2H3 cells. The results showed certain concentrations of irisflorentin could suppress histamine release and secretion of TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6. Further investigations indicated that the effects of irisflorentin were associated with a reduction of intracellular calcium, suppression of NF-κB signaling pathway and inhibition of caspase-1 activity. Therefore, the results of the current study demonstrated that irisflorentin can ameliorate mast cell-mediated allergic inflammation. These results can provide evidences for the discovery of novel therapy for allergic diseases and application of irisflorentin in practice.

Opis:: In this work, we revisit the Locally Linear Embedding (LLE) algorithm that is widely employed in dimensionality reduction. With a particular interest to the correspondences of the nearest neighbors in the original and embedded spaces, we observe that, when prescribing low-dimensional embedding spaces, LLE remains merely a weight-preserving rather than a neighborhood-preserving algorithm. Thus, we propose a \neighborhood-preserving ratio" criterion to estimate the minimal intrinsic dimensionality required for neighborhood preservation. We validate its efficiency on sets of synthetic data, including S-curve, Swiss roll, and a dataset of grayscale images.
