The paper discusses the functioning of the German-speaking Community in Belgium by presenting a historical outline from the creation of the Belgian state, by joining the lands of Eupen and Malmedy, to the federalisation of the state. Over the years, the German-speaking population in Belgium has developed its identity by receiving strong cultural and political autonomy. At present, the pursuit of autonomy does not lose its strength, and the German-speaking Community wishes to be called 'Eastern Belgium'.
Praca porusza problematykę funkcjonowania Wspólnoty Niemieckojęzycznej w Belgii przedstawiając rys historyczny od utworzenia państwa belgijskiego, poprzez przyłączenie ziem Eupen i Malmedy, po federalizację państwa. Przez lata niemieckojęzyczna ludność w Belgii rozwinęła swoją tożsamość otrzymując silną autonomię kulturalną i polityczną. Revenue recognition from long-term contracts with the clients based on IT Service Desk contract in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards

The aim of the diploma thesis is a step-by-step analysis and discussion of key concepts, recommendations and stages related to the recognition of revenue from long-term contracts with clients. The author discusses the basics of accounting, considering the most important institutions, legal acts and recommendations, starting from the basic accounting principles, ending with the specificity of individual stages in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standard 15. The author focuses especially on the recognition of revenue from a long-term contract, the subject of which is the Service Desk from the IT industry. The thesis includes an introduction to the service, which allows to understand the specifics of the contract. In practice, contracts for services in the technology industry are characterized by a long duration of the contract including all potential risks and, due to the specificity of the services, extremely complex both in terms of the structure of the service and its valuation, which is key in terms of the correct recognition of revenue.
Celem pracy dyplomowej jest analiza krok po kroku i omówienie kluczowych pojęć, zaleceń, etapów związanych z rozpoznawaniem przychodu z długoterminowych kontraktów z klientami. Autorka omawia podstawy rachunkowości omawiając najważniejsze instytucje, akty prawne i zalecenia wychodząc od podstawowych zasad rachunkowości, kończąc na specyfice poszczególnych etapów zgodnie z Międzynarodowym standardem Sprawozdawczości Finansowej 15. Autorka skupia się szczególnie na rozpoznaniu przychodu z długoterminowego kontraktu, którego przedmiotem jest usługa Service Desk z branży IT. Praca zawiera wprowadzenie do usługi, co pozwala na zrozumienie specyfiki kontraktu. W praktyce kontrakty na usługi z branży technologicznej cechują się długim czasem trwania umowy wraz z ich ryzykiem oraz poprzez specyfikę usług niezwykłą złożonością zarówno w kwestii struktury serwisu jak i jego wyceny, co kluczowe jest w kwestii prawidłowego rozpoznania przychodu.

Z uwagi na zmieniające się okoliczności społeczne i prawne coraz więcej osób decyduje się na ujawnienie swojej transpłciowości i zróżnicowania pod względem płci. Opieka nad tą grupą pacjentów jest dużym wyzwaniem dla placówek medycznych. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie ogólnych zasad opieki nad osobami transpłciowymi i zróżnicowanymi pod względem płci. Praca powstała w oparciu o analizę dostępnych opracowań. Analiza piśmiennictwa potwierdza, że problematyka transpłciowości i zróżnicowania pod względem płci jest podejmowana przez wielu autorów. Z uwagi na rozpowszechnienie zgłaszania tożsamości transpłciowej i wynikających z niej problemów/ potrzeb zdrowotnych, niezbędnym staje się holistyczna opieka oraz kształcenie kadry medycznej w tym obszarze.
Due to changing social and legal circumstances, increasingly more people choose to disclose their transgender and gender diverse status. Caring for this group of patients is a major challenge for medical facilities. The aim of this paper is to present general principles of care for transgender and gender diverse individuals. The paper is based on the analysis of available studies. The literaturę analysis confirms that the issue of transgender and gender diverse patients is addressed by many authors. Given the prevalence of reporting transgender identity and the resulting health problems/ needs, it becomes necessary to provide holistic care and educate medical personnel in this area.

Opis:
Medical sciences in their classic approach focus on objectively measured dimensions of human functioning and its disorders. Therefore, they are often far removed from the unique identity, experiences and needs of older people. The solution to this type of focusing on the biological, psychological or social dimension of the life of older people may be the inclusion of the narrative in the daily practice of medical care. Narrative medicine supports the development of a holistic approach to care that allows older people to present their own life story, which helps to recognize their uniqueness and to show a genuine interest in the narrative. Attention is increasingly drawn to the fact that the narrative of older people should be recognized and taken into account when planning and providing care in institutions, including long-term care facilities (LTCFs). Despite the fact that LTCFs are often attended by people with multiple diseases and with cognitive impairment, the recognition, respect and maintenance of personal identity should constitute the foundation of caring activities. The basic premise of narration is the recognition that the development of identity does not stop at any age but continues throughout life, and that narrative is an important form of self-expression. The aim of this paper is to present selected issues related to the practice of narrative medicine in caring for older people.

Nursing is based on relations with other people – interpersonal relations that are especially important in mental health nursing. In their professional practice, psychiatric nurses face complex challenges concerning the establishment of therapeutic relations, ensuring patient’s safety and reducing means of coercion. In their everyday practice, they often face multi-dimensional dilemmas regarding care for persons with cognitive or behavioural disorders at various stages of the disease. Nurses can also encounter other constraints (both external and internal) that make it diffi cult for them to act in line with the ideals of professional practice and put them at risk of developing moral distress. Moral distress (MD) is described as negative feelings in situations where one knows the correct actions to take but they are constrained from taking them. Moral distress can also occur when medical personnel faces moral dilemmas or experience moral doubts in the course of their clinical practice. Moral distress can occur in any medical discipline, but due to the prevalence of diffi cult situations, it is particularly important in mental health patient care. The goal of the study was to present the selected issues related to moral distress in mental health nursing.
W czasie pełnienia roli zawodowej pielęgniarki psychiatryczne mierzą się ze złożonymi kwestiami dotyczącymi tworzenia relacji terapeutycznych oraz zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa pacjentom i ograniczenia stosowania przymusu. Mogą także zetknąć się z innymi barierami (zarówno zewnętrznymi, jak i wewnętrznymi), które utrudniają im działanie zgodne z ideałami praktyki zawodowej i stwarzają możliwość powstania niepokoju moralnego. Niepokój moralny (ang. moral distress, MD) charakteryzowany jest jako negatywne odczucia pojawiające się w sytuacjach, gdy osoba wie, jak należy postąpić, ale istniejące ograniczenia uniemożliwiają jej podjęcie właściwego działania. Może on pojawić się również, gdy personel medyczny staje przed dylematami moralnymi lub doświadcza moralnych wątpliwości w związku z sytuacjami wynikającymi z praktyki klinicznej. Celem pracy było przedstawienie wybranych zagadnień związanych z występowaniem moral distress w pielęgniarstwie psychiatrycznym.

Introduction: Patient Targeted Googling (PTG) is not a new phenomenon, but in Poland — according to the information available to the authors — there has been no research in this area among nurses and midwives. The above-mentioned activity is associated with many doubts and concerns of legal and ethical issues, and therefore there is a need to explore it. Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of PTG among nurses and midwives in Poland. Material and Methods: The study conducted among 300 working nurses and midwives used a diagnostic survey based on the author’s survey questionnaire. Statistical analysis was performed using PQStat version: 1.8.4.142. Mann–Whitney U tests, chi^2 and Fisher’s correlations were used. The significance level was adopted at p <0.05 and highly significant at p <0.01. Results: The respondents’ reasons for patient targeted googling were mainly lack of other sources of information, controlling adherence to recommendations, ascertaining the patient’s mental disorders, behavior, substance abuse status and physical appearance. PTG without informing the patient was considered unethical and likely to violate the principle of informed consent and privacy. Respondents ex-pressed the need for PTG training. Conclusions: The study presents the prevalence of PTG phenomenon among Polish nurses and midwives along with the different determinants of this activity.
