Opis:: Rapid prototyping (RP) is being recognised as a significant technology for future product development. One of the most effective RP technologies is 3D printing. A three dimensional object is created by layering and connecting successive cross sections of material. Therefore this new RP methodology is generally faster, more affordable and easier to use than any other additive fabrication technologies. This paper analyses performance of RP methods and compares these based on use-cases. Prototypes of casing type details have been created using different RP technologies. Productivity of product development process and 3D printing has been investigated. A problem in differences between physical prototypes compared to existing computer model (digital prototype) can be diminished by using comparative pre-testing. Case studies of increasing innovation capacity in development of casing type details have been analysed. In addition, suggestions for increasing innovation capacity and performance of rapid manufacturing have been made.

Opis:: We report a study of structure and magnetic properties of Ni/Ti multilayers with different modulation wavelength, 10 nm ≤ λ ≤ 40 nm, and constant sublayers thickness ratio d$\text{}_{Ni}$/d$\text{}_{Ti}$=1. Specimens were characterized with X-ray diffraction, vibrating sample magnetometer and torque meter in as-deposited state and in successive stages of isothermal annealing at 423 K. Hysteresis curves of as-deposited samples revealed the typical feature of ferromagnetic films with predominant shape anisotropy. During annealing very pronounced changes in the hysteresis loops were observed. An analysis of the loops indicates the occurrence of distinct changes in magnetic anisotropy of Ni sublayers: their effective shape anisotropy is drastically reduced due to a development of the perpendicular anisotropy and/or a modification of the microstructure. The effect can possibly be applied to achieve desirable variation of perpendicular anisotropy in multilayers which consist of Ni sublayers.

Opis:: Measuring and inspection works in production process using laser scanners attached to the robot manipulators are more and more used in different ways and purposes. The aim of this article is to study and analyze the usage of 3D measuring devices attached to the robot manipulator according to determine the range and the purpose of such industrial measurements. Different scanning devices are applied in production areas with varying purposes, such as 3D scanning of the new product, in order to inspect and find defects. Attached to the robot manipulator, scanners or laser measuring devices are able to scan every object in range of a robot, which makes the measuring process very flexible. Several tests with 3D scanners were performed to find out the optimal conditions and configuration for production purpose. As a result, knowledge base suitable for different production areas was developed. Thus, it would be feasible to have a common database to be implemented in different production areas.

Opis:: An analysis of the risk of failure in the safety valve – tank with propane-butane (LPG) system has been conducted. An uncontrolled outflow of liquid LPG, caused by a failure of the above mentioned system has been considered as a threat. The main research goal of the study is the hazardous analysis of propane-butane gas outflow for the safety valve – LPG tank system. The additional goal is the development of an useful method to fast identify the hazard of a mismatched safety valve. The results of the research analysis have confirmed that safety valves are basic protection of the installation (tank) against failures that can lead to loss of life, material damage and further undesired costs of their unreliability. That is why a new, professional computer program has been created that allows for the selection of safety valves or for the verification of a safety valve selection in installations where any technical or technological changes have been made.

Opis:: Celem pracy była identyfikacja czynników wpływających na decyzje nabywców usług gastronomicznych, zhierarchizowanie tych czynników oraz ustalenie pozycji jakości posiłku w układzie preferencji konsumenckich. Badania zrealizowano w 2007 roku na terenie województw dolnośląskiego i wielkopolskiego. Przeprowadzono 234 wywiady kwestionariuszowe z osobami kupującymi usługi gastronomiczne przynajmniej raz w miesiącu. Ustalono, że na decyzje nabywców usług gastronomicznych wpływają kolejno następujące czynniki: jakość serwowanych posiłków, cechy lokalu gastronomicznego, jakość obsługi, cena. Pojęcie jakości posiłku było głównie utożsamiane z jego cechami sensorycznymi, a w mniejszym stopniu z jakością zużytych surowców żywnościowych oraz różnorodnością oferowanych dań. Kategoria bezpieczeństwa zdrowotnego żywności w ogóle nie pojawiła się w wypowiedziach respondentów, co świadczy o niedostatecznym poziomie ich wiedzy w tym zakresie.
The objective of the study was to identify factors influencing decisions made by catering services consumers, to hierarchize them, and to determine the position of meals quality within the system of consumer preferences. The study was conducted in the year 2007, in the Dolnośląskie and Wielkopolskie voivodships. 234 questionnaires were filled out by persons who used to buy catering services at least once a month. It was determined that the following factors influenced, one after the other, the decisions taken by the catering services customers: quality of meals served, attributes of gastronomic outlet, quality of service, and price. The idea of meals quality was, mainly, equated with the sensory properties of meals, and, to a smaller extent, with the quality of raw materials used to prepare food and with the variety of the offered meals. The category of health safety of food did not appear at all in the respondents’ answers; this fact proves the insufficient level of the respondents’ knowledge in this field.

Opis:: The objective of the paper is to present ecological measures for marine environment protection financed by the EU within Euroregional structures. For this purpose the paper is divided into two parts. The first part concerns the Euroregions' position and mission based on the origin of Euroregion Baltic and its special features. The second part concerns selected measures aimed to protect marine environment financed from the EU assistance funds. The primary conclusion is as follows: Euroregional structures were crucial as regards the acquisition of development funds while the EU's involvement in ecological development and the specific features of Euroregions have led to the implementation of ecological measures. They have directly or indirectly contributed to marine environment protection.
Celem opracowania było przedstawienie działań ekologicznych na rzecz ochrony środowiska morskiego finansowanych z UE w strukturach euroregionalnych. Dla jego realizacji przyjęto konstrukcję opracowania składającego się z dwóch części. Pierwsza z nich dotyczyła istoty i misji euroregionów z uwzględnieniem genezy Euroregionu Bałtyk i specyfiki jego funkcjonowania u wybrzeży wód Bałtyku. Druga część dotyczyła opisu wybranych przedsięwzięć mających na celu ochronę środowiska morskiego, a realizowanych ze środków pomocowych UE. Zasadniczy wniosek, który nasuwa się przy realizacji powyższego tematu, jest następujący: struktura euroregionalna odegrała istotną rolę w pozyskiwaniu funduszy rozwojowych. Natomiast zaangażowanie UE w rozwój ekologiczny i specyfika obszarów euroregionalnych powodowały, iż były realizowane przedsięwzięcia ekologiczne. Służyły one bądź bezpośrednio, bądź pośrednio ochronie środowiska morskiego.

Opis:: The objective of the article is to identify support areas under the European Fisheries Fund (EFF) with a particular focus on ecological measures protecting the marine environment. The introduction provides general information about the EFF and EU measures for fisheries and maritime policy. The first part of the paper discusses the support areas of the Financial Instrument for Fisheries Guidance established in 1992, with a focus on its ecological activity. The second part of the paper concerns the activity of the European Fisheries Fund within the financial strategy for the period 2007–2013 with reference to the priority axes implemented under the sectoral operational programme in Poland. Such an approach is quite logical, as these priorities and measures are compatible across EU member countries. The general conclusion from the analysis is as follows: structural orientation of measures and enhancement of support for a balanced water environment, protection of flora and fauna, reasonable exploitation of resources, and ecology as the top priority.
Celem artykułu było określenie obszarów wsparciowych Europejskiego Funduszu Rybackiego (EFR) ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem działań ekologicznych na rzecz ochrony środowiska morskiego. Wprowadzenie dotyczy ogólnych informacji o EFR i zwrócenia uwagi na działania Unii Europejskiej (UE) w zakresie rybołówstwa i polityki morskiej. W pierwszej części dokonano opisu obszarów wsparciowych powołanego w 1992 roku Europejskiego Instrumentu Wspierania Rybołówstwa z uwzględnieniem jego ekologicznej aktywności. Druga część dotyczy aktywności Europejskiego Funduszu Rybackiego w strategii finansowej 2007–2013 i tu nastąpiło odniesienie informacji do osi priorytetowych realizowanych w sektorowym programie operacyjnym w Polsce. Takie podejście jest uzasadnione, gdyż priorytety i działania są kompatybilne w państwach członkowskich UE. Generalnym wnioskiem analizy jest priorytetowe potraktowanie ekologii, ukierunkowanie działań na strukturalne oraz wzmocnienie aktywności wsparciowej na równowagę w środowisku wodnym, ochrona flory i fauny oraz rozumne korzystanie z zasobów.

Opis:: This paper concerns two agencies which directly or indirectly pursue the goals and perform the tasks set by the European Union in terms of protecting the marine environment. They are both part of the EU agency system established to decentralise measures, integrate various groups of interests, prepare development strategies and prevent bad practices. The Community Fisheries Control Agency (CFCA) harmonises legal regulations and the Common Fisheries Policy, which improves maritime safety. The European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) fosters this safety by promoting the implementation of ship safety standards, investigating shipping disasters, and preventing harmful waste discharges from ships including oil spills that would pollute inshore and sea waters, destroying marine flora and fauna.
Opracowanie poświecone zostało dwóm agencjom, które bezpośrednio bądź pośrednio realizują cele i zadania UE na rzecz ochrony środowiska morskiego. Obydwie wpisują się w szeroko pojęty system agencyjny UE powołany do decentralizacji działań, integrowania różnych grup interesów, opracowywania strategii rozwojowych oraz zapobiegania różnego rodzaju działaniom niepożądanym. Jedna z nich, tj. Agencja Kontroli Rybołówstwa, harmonizując przepisy prawne i wspólnotową politykę rybacką pośrednio przyczynia się do bezpieczeństwa morskiego. Z kolei druga, tj. Europejska Agencja ds. Bezpieczeństwa na Morzu, zgodnie ze swoją nazwą broni tego bezpieczeństwa, zabiegając o wprowadzanie standardów, bezpieczeństwa statków i badając wypadki statków, zapobiegając odpadom ze statków i rozlewom olejowym, niszczącym wody przybrzeżne i morskie, a wraz z tym morski świat żyjący.
