Opis:
BitTorrent splits the files that are shared on a P2P network into fragments and then spreads these by giving the highest priority to the rarest fragment. We propose a mathematical model that takes into account several factors such as the peer distance, communication delays, and file fragment availability in a future period also by using a neural network module designed to model the behaviour of the peers. The ensemble comprising the proposed mathematical model and a neural network provides a solution for choosing the file fragments that have to be spread first, in order to ensure their continuous availability, taking into account that some peers will disconnect.

Opis:
In the paper methods for conducting Road Safety Inspections (SIs) in Italy and Poland are described and compared. The goal of the study is to improve the quality and efficiency of the safety inspections of road network by using low cost equipment (GPS, Tablet, Camera) and specific software. Particular attention was paid to the need for proper calibration of factors, causing traffic safety hazard associated with road infrastructure. The model developed according to the Italian procedures was adapted to comply with the checklists and evaluation criteria of the Polish guidelines. Overall, a good agreement between the two approaches was identified, however some modification was required to include new safety issues, characteristic for the Polish network for safety inspection of two lane rural roads. To test the applicability about 100 km of regional two lane roads in Poland were inspected with Polish and Italian procedures.

Opis:
An enterprise providing services handled by means of workflows needs to monitor and control their execution, gather usage data, determine priorities, and properly use computing cloud-related resources. This paper proposes a software architecture that connects unaware services to components handling workflow monitoring and management concerns. Moreover, the provided components enhance dependability of services while letting developers focus only on the business logic.

Opis:
A neural network based algorithm to perform track recognition in the ALICE Inner Tracking System (ITS) for high transverse momentum particles (pt > 1 GeV/c) is presented. The model is based on the Denby-Peterson scheme, with some original improvements which are necessary to cope with the large track density expected at ALICE. Results are shown for central Pb-Pb events at 5.5 ATeV in the center of mass system and the comparison with the Kalman filter results is included. Data coming from this tracking procedure are used for 1-dimensional HBT correlations and results are presented.
