    Opis:
    The paper concerns the assessment of the influence of the duration of high-temperature soaking of steel intended for dies for extruding aluminium profiles on the structure, microhardness, and tribological wear of the top layer. Gas nitrided hot work tool steel X37CrMoV5-1 (WCL) was used in the tests. For technological reasons, before the extruding process, such dies are pre-heated for several hours to a temperature ranging from 400°C to 600°C. Due to the possibility of various unplanned situations (failures), the soaking time may be extended even up to more than ten hours. Therefore, soaking was used after the nitriding process due to the application nature of the research whose purpose was to identify changes occurring in the nitrided layer after soaking of dies at a higher temperature (520°C) and before starting the extruding process, and thus to determine for how long the dies may be held in a furnace without undesirable changes in the top layer. The examined samples were soaked in an industrial furnace at 520°C for 2 h, 4 h, 6 h, 8 h, 10 h, and 12 h. Samples heated to 520°C and then immediately cooled down and the reference material which was not heated after the nitriding process were also examined for comparison purposes. The obtained results of the tests of the microhardness of the nitrided layer indicate that it decreased as the soaking time increased to 6 hours. After this time, that parameter is stabilised and further heating up to 10 hours does not cause a significant decrease in the microhardness of the top layer. A further decrease in the microhardness of the layer was observed for samples soaked for 12 hours. The results of tribological tests showed an analogous course of changes in the tribological wear of the examined material as the soaking time increased. The performed tests indicate the possibility of holding dies at a higher temperature (520°C) for 10 hours. Further soaking at this temperature causes adverse changes in the top layer.
    Praca dotyczy oceny wpływu czasu wygrzewania w podwyższonej temperaturze stali przeznaczonej na matryce do wyciskania profili aluminiowych na strukturę, mikrotwardość oraz zużycie tribologiczne warstwy wierzchniej. W badaniach stosowano stal narzędziową do pracy na gorąco X37CrMoV5-1 (WCL) poddaną procesowi azotowania gazowego. Matryce takie są przed procesem wyciskania poddawane wstępnemu nagrzewaniu do temperatury z przedziału 400°C do 600°C przez okres kilku godzin, co jest spowodowane względami technologicznymi. Z uwagi na możliwość wystąpienia różnych nieplanowanych sytuacji (awarii) czas wygrzewania może ulec wydłużeniu nawet do kilkunastu godzin. Zastosowany zabieg wygrzewania po procesie azotowania wynikał zatem z aplikacyjnego charakteru badań, które miały na celu określenie zmian zachodzących w warstwie azotowanej po wygrzewaniu matryc w podwyższonej temperaturze (520°C) przed rozpoczęciem procesu wyciskania, a tym samym określenie, przez jaki czas można przetrzymywać matryce w piecu bez pojawienia się niepożądanych zmian w warstwie wierzchniej. Badane próbki wygrzewano w piecu przemysłowym w temperaturze 520°C przez czas 2 h, 4 h, 6 h, 8 h, 10 h i 12 h. W celach porównawczych zbadano także próbki nagrzane do temperatury 520°C i od razu chłodzone oraz materiał wzorcowy, który nie był wygrzewany po procesie azotowania. Uzyskane wyniki badań mikrotwardości warstwy azotowanej wskazują na jej spadek wraz z rosnącym czasem wygrzewania do 6 godzin. Po tym czasie parametr ten ulega stabilizacji i dalsze wygrzewanie do 10 godzin nie powoduje istotnego spadku mikrotwardości warstwy wierzchniej. Dla próbek wygrzewanych przez okres 12 godzin odnotowano dalszy spadek mikrotwardości warstwy. Wyniki testów tribologicznych wykazały analogiczny przebieg zmian zużycia tribologicznego badanego materiału wraz z rosnącym czasem wygrzewania. Przeprowadzone testy wskazują na możliwość przetrzymywania matryc w podwyższonej temperaturze (520°C) przez okres 10 godzin. Dalsze wygrzewanie w tej temperaturze powoduje pojawienie się niekorzystnych zmian w warstwie wierzchniej.

    Opis:
    This paper is devoted to modeling of the pulse scattering by a spherical target immersed in a homogeneous waveguide covered with ice. For calculating the echo signal in the frequency domain we have followed Hackman and Sammelmann’s general approach. The arising scattering coefficients of a sphere were evaluated with the use of the normal mode method. The amount of normal modes forming the backscattered field is determined by the given directivity of the source. The emitted signal is a pulse with a Gaussian envelope. Computational results are obtained in a wide frequency range 8 - 12 kHz for water depths equal to several hundreds of m, and distances between the source/receiver and a target from 1 km up to 10 km. The target is assumed to be acoustically rigid or fluid. In particular, the properties of the ice cover and a scatterer may coincide.

    The present paper refers to the evaluation of the influence of soaking temperature of nitrided hot work tool steel, X37CrMoV5-1 (WCL), intended for dies for extruding aluminium profiles, on the structure, microhardness, and tribological wear of the nitrided layer. The research involved nitrided steel specimens (X37CrMoV5-1) soaked for 8 hours in an industrial furnace at temperatures of 450°C, 480°C, 520°C, 560°C, and 600°C. For comparison purposes, a REFERENCES material was used, which was not soaked after nitriding. Initially, as the soaking temperature raised, the microhardness of the nitrided layer increased by ca. 10%; however, a further increase in the soaking temperature to more than 450°C caused a decrease in the microhardness of the nitrided layer. The results of tribological tests showed that soaking nitrided steel at a low temperature (450°C) and high temperature (600°C) caused a decrease in tribological wear. Out of the tested materials, the highest microhardness of the upper layer was observed in the samples soaked at 450°C, while the highest resistance to tribological wear was obtained for the samples soaked at 600°C. The conducted tests indicate the possibility of extending the lifetime of dies made from the investigated nitrided steel.
    Niniejsza praca dotyczy oceny wpływu temperatury wygrzewania azotowanej stali narzędziowej do pracy na gorąco X37CrMoV5-1 (WCL) przeznaczonej na matryce do wyciskania profili aluminiowych na strukturę, mikrotwardość oraz zużycie tribologiczne warstwy azotowanej. Badaniom poddano próbki azotowanej stali X37CrMoV5-1 wygrzewane przez 8 godzin w piecu przemysłowym w temperaturze: 450°C, 480°C, 520°C, 560°C oraz 600°C. W celach porównawczych zastosowano także materiał wzorcowy, który nie był wygrzewany po procesie azotowania. Ze wzrostem temperatury wygrzewania początkowo odnotowano wzrost mikrotwardości warstwy azotowanej o ok. 10%. Z kolei podwyższenie temperatury wygrzewania powyżej 450°C powodowało jej obniżenie. Wyniki testów tribologicznych wykazały, że wygrzewanie stali azotowanej w niskiej temperaturze (450°C) oraz w wysokiej (600°C) powoduje spadek zużycia tribologicznego. Spośród badanych materiałów największą mikrotwardość warstwy wierzchniej odnotowano dla próbek wygrzewanych w temperaturze 450°C, natomiast najwyższą odporność na zużycie tribologiczne uzyskano dla próbek wygrzewanych w temperaturze 600°C. Przeprowadzone testy wskazują na możliwość wydłużenia czasu użytkowania matryc wykonanych z badanej stali azotowanej.

    The Kharkov potential is a recent field theoretical model of nucleon-nucleon interaction that has been built up in the framework of the instant form of relativistic dynamics starting with the total Hamiltonian of interacting meson and nucleon fields and using the method of unitary clothing transformations. The latter connect the representation of “bare” particles and the representation of “clothed” particles, i.e., the particles with physical properties. By trying to overcome available inconsistencies when constructing the models of 2N- and 3N-forces, we will show how one can within the clothed particle representation build them on one and the same physical footing. Unlike our preceding explorations we show fresh results with best-fit values for adjustable parameters revisited.

    Opis:
    The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of subchronic exposure to atrazine on fish growth and the development of histopathological changes in selected organs (gill, kidney, liver) in Danio rerio. Juvenile growth tests were performed on D. rerio according to OECD method No. 215. For 28 days, fish at an initial age of 30 days were exposed to the environmental atrazine concentration commonly detected in Czech rivers (0.3 μg/L) and a range of sublethal concentrations of atrazine (3.0, 30.0 and 90.0 μg/L). The results showed decreasing growth rates and morphological changes in the liver (dystrophic lesions of hepatocytes) at 90.0 μg/L of atrazine. The environmental concentration of atrazine in Czech rivers did not have any effect on fish growth and development of histopathological changes in D. rerio. The value of NOEC was 30.0 μg/L and the value of LOEC was 90.0 μg/L.
