Opis:
Different APFs (Active Power Filter) interact with each other when multiple APFs are connected to the grid, and the interactions deteriorate the control performance of APFs and even lead to system instability. This paper presents a method to analyze the dynamic interaction of multiple APFs in a weak grid. This method uses the Norton equivalent principle to establish the mathematical model of a single APF. The mathematical model of the multiple APFs connected to the grid is set up based on the single APF mode. The RGA (Relative Gain Array) principle is used to analyze the interactions among multiple APFs. Besides, this paper analyzes the effect of changing circuit parameters and controller parameters on the change of the interactions. The strategy of weakening and eliminating the interaction is proposed based on rational selection and combination of parameters. Analysis, along with time domain simulation and experimental results, is presented to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method and strategy.

Opis:
We studied the ability of Ag/$nano-TiO_2$ to inhibit Staphylococcus aureus growth on silicone elastomer material. Ag/$nano-TiO_2$ silicone elastomer was prepared with different concentrations of 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%. The antibacterial efficacy of Ag/$nano-TiO_2$ silicone elastomer was determined by the inhibition zone method and the impregnated culture method. The antibacterial timeliness of Ag/$nano-TiO_2$ silicone elastomer was tested by direct contact method. The samples were kept through thermal aging process in an accelerated aging chamber. The effect of concentrations of Ag/$nano-TiO_2$ was insignificant (P < 0.05). There was significant difference between the Ag/$nano-TiO_2$ silicone elastomer and the blank silicone elastomer (P < 0.5). There was also significant difference among specimen groups whose aging periods were 50°C, 100°C, 150°C, 200°C for 87 h (P < 0.5). The silicone elastomer with different concentrations of Ag/$nano-TiO_2$ effectively inhibits Staphylococcus aureus growth.

Opis:
The aim of this study was to analyze the influence of various luting materials and surface treatments on adhesive strength for zirconia ceramics and luting cements. The zirconia framework specimens were made into cylinders. Prior to cement, zirconia framework specimens underwent various surface treatments (sandblasting with 110 μm $Al_2O_3$ particles, milling with 240-grift silicon sand paper and silanization). Resin luting cement and glass ionomer luting cement were then applied on the surface of zirconia specimens. The specimens were then subjected to a shear force. The fractured surfaces were visually analyzed by scanning electron microscopy. The shear bond strength values of resin luting cement bonded to zirconia specimens were significantly higher than glass ionomer luting cement bonded to zirconia specimens (P < 0.05). The shear bond strength values of zirconia specimens sandblasted with 110 μm $Al_2O_3$ particles were significantly higher than those milled with silicon carbide papers and underwent silanization (P < 0.05). The shear bond strength values of zirconia specimens milled with silicon carbide papers and underwent silanization were not significantly different (P < 0.05). The highest shear bond strength values were achieved when the zirconia specimens were sandblasted and bonded to resin luting cement. Airborne-particle abrasion was an effective method which could enhance the bond strength of zirconia ceramics and cements. The resin luting cement exhibited a higher bond to zirconia than glass ionomer luting cement.

Opis:
Conventionally, the filtering technique for attitude estimation is performed using gyros or attitude dynamics models. In order to extend the application range of an attitude filter, this paper proposes a quaternion-based filtering framework for gyroless attitude estimation without an attitude dynamics model. The attitude estimation system is established based on a quaternion kinematic equation and vector observation models. The angular velocity in the system is determined through observation vectors from attitude sensors and the statistical properties of the angular velocity error are analysed. A Kalman filter is applied to estimate the attitude error such that the effect from the angular velocity error is compensated with its statistical properties at each sampling moment. A numerical simulation example is presented to illustrate the performance of the proposed algorithm.

Opis:
The aim of the study was to evaluate the core-veneer bond strength of graded zirconia combinations and compared those to conventional zirconia combinations after thermal and mechanical tests. Conventional zirconia-veneer combinations and graded zirconia-veneer combinations were made into cylinders. Prior to shear bond testing, half of each group was subjected to thermal and mechanical cycling testing at three conditional levels. All specimens were thereafter subjected to a shear force. The fractured surfaces were visually analyzed with scanning electron microscopy. The shear bond strength values of functionally graded zirconia combinations were significantly higher than zirconia combinations, irrespective of the fatigue conditions (P < 0.05). The shear bond strength values of graded zirconia combinations and zirconia combinations before thermal-mechanical cycling were higher than after (P < 0.05). The shear bond strength values of graded zirconia combinations was $40.99 ± 2.22$ MPa, $39.44 ± 2.36$ MPa, $37.45 ± 2.06$ MPa, and $36.87 ± 2.18$ MPa for conditions 0 to 3, respectively. The shear bond strength values were $26.75 ± 2.16$ MPa, $23.95 ± 2.16$ MPa, $21.65 ± 2.14$ MPa, and $20.49 ± 2.16$ MPa for zirconia combinations from conditions 0 to 3, respectively. The functionally graded zirconia combinations exhibited greater shear bond strength than zirconia combinations, irrespective of the fatigue conditions. Thermal-mechanical cycling had an impact on the shear bond strength of both graded zirconia combinations and conventional zirconia combinations.

Opis:
Molecular dynamics (MD) simulation was conducted for a DNB (1,3-dinitrobenzene) crystal, a ε-CL-20 (2,4,6,8,10,12-hexanitro-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazaisowurtzitane) crystal, a CL-20/DNB co-crystal and a CL-20/DNB composite. From the calculated maximum bond length (Lmax) of the N−NO2 trigger bond, the cohesive energy density (CED) and the binding energy (Ebind), it was found that the CL-20/DNB co-crystal is more insensitive than its composite. Its thermal stability is also better than that of its composite. The pair correlation function (PCF) analysis method was applied to investigate the interfaces between different molecular layers in the CL-20/DNB co-crystal, and in the composite. Additionally, the calculated mechanical data showed that the moduli of the CL-20/DNB co-crystal and its composite are smaller and their elastic elongation and ductility are better than those of the ε-CL-20 and DNB crystals.

Opis:
This study analyses the hemodynamic variations surrounding stenoses located at the left coronary bifurcation, and their influence on the wall shear stress (WSS) in realistic coronary geometries. Four patients with suspected coronary artery disease were chosen, and coronary models were reconstructed based on high-resolution CT data. The coronary stenoses were observed at the left circumflex and left anterior descending branches, resulting in a lumen narrowing of >50%. Flow analysis was performed using computational fluid dynamics, to simulate the cardiac flow conditions of the realistic individual patient geometry. Blood flow and WSS changes in the left coronary artery were calculated throughout the entire cardiac phases. Our results revealed that the recirculation regions were found at the poststenotic locations. WSS was found to increase at the stenotic positions in all four patients. There is a strong correlation between coronary stenosis and the hemodynamic changes, which are reflected in blood flow pattern and WSS, based on the realistic left coronary geometries.

Opis:
Nowadays, the extensive use of Lithium-ion cells requires an accurate life prediction model. Failure of Lithium-ion cells usually results from a gradual and irreversible capacity fading process. Experimental results show that this process is strongly affected by temperature. In engineering applications, researchers often use the regression-based approach to model the capacity fading process over cycles and then perform the cycle life prediction. However, because of neglecting temperature influences, this classic method may lead to significant prediction errors, especially when cells are subject to complex temperature profiles. In this paper, we extend the classic regression-based model by incorporating cell temperature as a predictor. Two effects of temperature on cell capacity are considered. One is the positive effect that high temperature lets a cell discharge more capacity in a cycle; The other is the negative effect that high temperature accelerates cell capacity fading. A cycle life test with six cells are conducted to valid the effectiveness of our method. Results show that the improved model is more suitable to capture the dynamics of cell capacity fading path under complex temperature profiles.
W zastosowaniach inżynieryjnych, naukowcy często wykorzystują podejście oparte na regresji do modelowania procesu utraty pojemności w poszczególnych cyklach by następnie dokonać prognozy trwałości w danym cyklu pracy.
