Opis:
Pig production has high energy consumption thus the energy efficiency of a building is very important. The objective of this paper is a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of thermal properties and thermal bridges in the structure of a newly constructed piggery. The results prove unsuitable thermal properties of the majority of structures. Characteristic thermal properties: external walls (UT=0.470 W˖m-2˖K-1), flooring (UT=1.356 W˖m-2˖K-1), ceiling (UT=0.229 W˖m-2˖K-1), windows and doors (UT=1.70 W˖m-2˖K-1). Qualitative detection of thermal defects with utilization of infrared thermography claimed the most significant thermal bridges on uninsulated socle and flooring, steel concrete straining band of the wall, bearing steel roof frames and window and door frames. The energy efficiency of buildings is significantly affected by the built structure properties and some structures of the measured buildings had low thermal insulation and caused high heat losses.
Charakterystyczne właściwości termiczne: ściany zewnętrznej (UT = 0,470 W˖m-2˖K-1), podłogi (UT=1,356 W˖m-2˖K-1), sufitu (UT=0,229 W˖m-2˖K-1) oraz okna i drzwi (UT=1,70 W˖m-2˖K-1).Wyniki potwierdzają nieodpowiednie właściwości termiczne większości konstrukcji. Jakościowa ocena wad cieplnych z wykorzystaniem termografii w podczerwieni umożliwia identyfikację najbardziej znaczących mostków cieplnych, występujących przede wszystkim na nieizolowanych cokołach i podłogach. Nasze badania potwierdzają, że nowoczesne konstrukcje umożliwiają wprowadzanie nowych rozwiązań technicznych oraz technologii, które poprawiają charakterystyki energetyczne budynków inwentarskich.

Opis:
This study deals with rheological properties of various wine varieties. Samples of the following wines were used for this experiment: André, Cabernet Moravia, Laurot, Saint Laurent, Gruner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Müller Thurgau, and Riesling Italico. These samples were obtained from wine produced from the grapes collected in the Czech Republic (Morava region, subregion Velke Pavlovice). In the first phase, the chemical composition of the samples was determined. The following chemical parameters were determined: total acidity, pH, content of the alcohol, reduced sugars, free SO2, total SO2, and volatile acids. In the second phase of the study, the physical properties of the samples were determined and the samples of the wines were subjected to rheological tests. These tests consisted in determination of apparent viscosity in relation to temperature, hysteresis loop tests, and apparent viscosity related to time. The dependence of the shear rate on the shear stress was described with the Herschel-Bulkley mathematical model. The experiment yielded the following findings: seven out of the eight samples behaved as non-Newtonian fluids at low temperature (5°C); non-Newtonian behaviour was changed into Newtonian at the temperature higher than 10 °C; non-Newtonian behaviour was characterised as thixotropic behaviour; the degree of thixotropy is relatively small and reaches 1.85 Pa s-1 ml-1.

Opis:
National and regional strategies and policies on innovation have been prioritized and innovation is now core to most EU funds and strategies. However, regions are not (should not be) alike in terms of innovation and innovation policy. The development strategies based on innovativeness ideas must include specific local conditions. Effective actions and efforts, to create good environment for innovativeness must bring tangible results. The aim of the paper is comparison of innovativeness on different regions types according to territorial typology: rural, intermediate and urban. The research questions are: Does innovativeness depends on regional typology: urban-rural? Do remote, less developed rural areas have also low achievements (poor performance) in this regard? Innovation output is measured using its hard result, which is number of patent application per capita. To examine group differences according to the innovativeness, the Kruskal-Wallis test was conducted. The test statistic showed, that there is no statistically significant difference between patent applications on different regions types. It has been found that the highest variable value in the whole sample has been calculated in rural group, for rural regions in Switzerland.

The SST-1M project, run by a Consortium of institutes from Czech Republic, Poland and Switzerland, has been proposed as a solution for implementing the small-size telescope array of the southern site of the Cherenkov Telescope Array. The technology is a pathfinder for efficient production of cost-effective imaging air Cherenkov telescopes. We report on the main system features and recent upgrades, the performances validation and the operation campaign carried out in 2018.

Opis:
The SST-1M (webpage: https://sst-1m.space) is a Small-Sized Telescope (SST) designed to provide a cost-effective and high-performance solution for gamma-ray astrophysics, particularly for energies beyond a few TeV. The goal is to integrate this telescope into an array of similar instruments, leveraging its lightweight design, earthquake resistance, and established Davies-Cotton configuration. Additionally, its optical system is designed to function without a protective dome, allowing it to withstand the harsh atmospheric conditions typical of mountain environments above 2000 m a.s.l. The SST-1M utilizes a fully digitizing camera system based on silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs). This camera is capable of digitizing all signals from the UV-optical light detectors, allowing for the implementation of various triggers and data analysis methods. We detail the process of designing, prototyping, and validating this system, ensuring that it meets the stringent requirements for gamma-ray detection and performance. An SST-1M stereo system is currently operational and collecting data at the Ondřejov observatory in the Czech Republic, situated at 500 m a.s.l. Preliminary results from this system are promising. A forthcoming paper will provide a comprehensive analysis of the telescope's performance in detecting gamma rays and operating under real-world conditions.

Opis:
The Single-Mirror Small-Size Telescope (SST-1M) stereoscopic system is composed of two Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes (IACTs) designed to deliver optimal performance for gamma-ray astronomy in the multi-TeV energy range. It features a 4-m diameter tessellated mirror dish and an innovative SiPM-based camera. Its optical system features a 4-m diameter spherical mirror dish based on the Davies-Cotton design, maintaining a good image quality over a large field of view (FoV), while minimizing optical aberrations. In 2022, two SST-1M telescopes were installed at the Ondřejov Observatory, Czech Republic at an altitude of 510 meters above sea level, collecting data for commissioning and astronomical observations since then. We present the first SST-1M observations of the Crab Nebula, conducted between September 2023 and March 2024 in both mono and stereoscopic modes. During this observation period, 46 hours for the SST-1M-1 and 52 hours for the SST-1M-2 were collected (of which 33 hours were in stereoscopic mode). In this work, we used the Crab Nebula observation to validate the expected performance of the instrument, as evaluated by Monte Carlo (MC) simulations that were carefully tuned to account for instrumental and atmospheric effects. We determined that the energy threshold at the analysis level for the zenith angles below 30° is 1 TeV for mono mode and 1.3 TeV for stereo mode. The energy and angular resolutions were approximately 20% and 0.18° for mono mode and 10% and 0.10° for stereo mode, respectively. We present an off-axis performance assessment of the instrument and a detailed study of the systematic uncertainties. The full simulation results for the telescope and its camera are compared to the data for the first time, enabling a deeper understanding of the SST-1M array performance.
