Opis:
Foot pronation is not an isolated factor influencing lower limb functions. Exploring gait variability and impact loading associated with the foot posture are crucial for understanding foot pronation-related injury mechanisms. This study aimed to evaluate how foot posture affects impact loading and running variability during running. Methods: Twenty-five male participants were recruited into this study. Pressure under the foot arch, acceleration and marker trajectory were recorded in the right limb for each runner after 1, 4, 7 and 10 km running, respectively. Linear mixed effects models were used to analyze the statistical difference of the data. Results: FPI-6 has significantly increased after the 10 km running ( p < 0.01). For the tibial acceleration, peak resultant acceleration after 10 km running was significantly increased than after 4 km running ( p = 0.02). At the dorsum of the foot, the short-time largest Lyapunov exponent (LyE) after 10 km running decreased 0.28 bit/s compared with LyE after 7 km running ( p = 0.03). In the tibia, LyE after 4 km and 10 km running was decreased significantly ( p < 0.01 and p = 0.01). Conclusions: The foot was significantly pronated at the middle and at the end of running. Foot pronation during distance running increased the distal tibia peak impact acceleration but did not increase running instability.

Opis:
We investigated the status of various Neokeronopsis populations, using protargol-impregnated type material, a new Chinese population, and literature data. This resulted not only in the recognition of a new species, Neokeronopsis asiatica, but also in upgrading Afrokeronopsis from subgenus to genus level. The genera Neokeronopsis and Afrokeronopsis differ mainly in the buccal depression (absent vs. present) and in the midventral cirri between proter and opisthe, which are either retained (Afrokeronopsis) or transformed into cirral anlagen (Neokeronopsis). Neokeronopsis asiatica nov. spec. differs from N. spectabilis (Kahl, 1932) by the following features: body size (~ 300 × 120 μm vs. 400 × 170 μm); posterior body end (acute with distinct indentation at site of caudal cirri vs. broadly rounded and without or indistinct indentation); posterior end of marginal rows (ending at different vs. same or similar level); dorsal kinety 1 (continuous vs. fragmented); and the size of the bases of the adoral membranelles (largest membranelles on average 18 μm vs. 29 μm wide). Improved diagnoses are provided for the family Neokeronopsidae and the genera contained therein, viz., Neokeronopsis, Afrokeronopsis, and Pattersoniella. Our study shows the importance of depositing type and voucher material in recognized repositories. Only this will allow future researchers to restudy the populations, for the sake of improved taxonomic and biogeographic knowledge.

Opis:
Tumor antigen-driven responses to weakly immunogenic self-antigens and neoantigens directly affect treatment efficacy following immunotherapy. Using orthotopically grown SV40 T $antigen^{+}$ ovarian carcinoma in antigen-naive wild-type or TgMISIIR-TAg-Low transgenic mice expressing SV40 T antigen as a self-antigen, we investigated the impact of CXCR4-antagonist-armed oncolytic virotherapy on tumor progression and antitumor immunity. Immunostaining and single-cell RNA sequencing analyses of the peritoneal tumor microenvironment of untreated tumors in syngeneic wild-type mice revealed the presence of SV40 T antigen-specific $CD8^{+}$ T cells, a balanced M1/M2 transcriptomic signature of tumor-associated macrophages, and immunostimulatory cancer-associated fibroblasts. This contrasted with polarized M2 tumor-associated macrophages, immunosuppressive cancer-associated fibroblasts, and poor immune activation in TgMISIIR-TAg-Low mice. Intraperitoneal delivery of CXCR4-antagonist-armed oncolytic vaccinia virus led to nearly complete depletion of cancer-associated fibroblasts, M1 polarization of macrophages, and generation of SV40 T antigen-specific CD8+ T cells in transgenic mice. Cell depletion studies revealed that the therapeutic effect of armed oncolytic virotherapy was dependent primarily on $CD8^{+}$ cells. These results demonstrate that targeting the interaction between immunosuppressive cancer-associated fibroblasts and macrophages in the tolerogenic tumor microenvironment by CXCR4-A-armed oncolytic virotherapy induces tumor/self-specific $CD8^{+}$ T cell responses and consequently increases therapeutic efficacy in an immunocompetent ovarian cancer model.

Recent advances in molecular technology have revolutionized research on all aspects of the biology of organisms, including ciliates, and created unprecedented opportunities for pursuing a more integrative approach to investigations of biodiversity. However, this goal is complicated by large gaps and inconsistencies that still exist in the foundation of basic information about biodiversity of ciliates. The present paper reviews issues relating to the taxonomy of ciliates and presents specific recommendations for best practice in the observation and documentation of their biodiversity. This effort stems from a workshop that explored ways to implement six Grand Challenges proposed by the International Research Coordination Network for Biodiversity of Ciliates (IRCN-BC). As part of its commitment to strengthening the knowledge base that supports research on biodiversity of ciliates, the IRCN-BC proposes to populate "The Ciliate Guide", an online database, with biodiversity-related data and metadata to create a resource that will facilitate accurate taxonomic identifications and promote sharing of data.

Semantic priming has been studied for nearly 50 years across various experimental manipulations and theoretical frameworks. Although previous studies provide insight into the cognitive underpinnings of semantic representations, they have suffered from small sample sizes and a lack of linguistic and cultural diversity. In this Registered Report, we measured the size and the variability of the semantic priming effect across 19 languages (n = 25,163 participants analysed) by creating the largest available database of semantic priming values using an adaptive sampling procedure. We found evidence for semantic priming in terms of differences in response latencies between related word-pair conditions and unrelated word-pair conditions. Model comparisons showed that the inclusion of a random intercept for language improved model fit, providing support for variability in semantic priming across languages. This study highlights the robustness and variability of semantic priming across languages and provides a rich, linguistically diverse dataset for further analysis.
