Opis:
This study focused on investigating the heat transfer and flow dynamics of a catalyst granule within a pilot calciner, employing both numerical modeling and computational fluid dynamics. The research comprised two primary components: (1) Simulation of the gas flow within the pilot calciner using the Eulerian–Eulerian approach, treating gases and catalyst particles as distinct phases – gas and granular. The model, encapsulating both heat transfer and flow processes, was developed in Fluent software version 16.0. Its accuracy was confirmed against empirical data from a pilot-scale calciner unit. (2) Subsequent to validation, the model was utilized to examine the distribution characteristics within the flow field, including the temperature profiles of gas and particles, the vector velocity field of the gas across different phases, and the overall heat transfer coefficient. This investigation aims to enhance the understanding of the complex heat transfer and flow dynamics in calciners, facilitating the optimization of operational parameters, performance, and structure of pilot-scale equipment. Furthermore, it provides foundational data pertinent to the future exploration of real-world industrial applications.

Opis:
In this paper, formulas for aspherical, sphero-cylindrical, toroidal, and ellipsoidal surfaces with astigmatic axes are derived. Based on this, four types of curved surfaces were designed to correct astigmatism with axis, and, subsequently, the lenses were simulated, fabricated, and measured. A total of ten spectacle lenses in two groups were designed. Those in the first group used identical optical parameters. The spherical and cylindrical powers and maximum and minimum edge thicknesses of aspherical, sphero-cylindrical, and ellipsoidal surfaces were compared. The results indicated that the power of the lens constructed using the toroidal surface was more accurate than those of the other three lenses. Moreover, the minimum edge thickness of the toroidal surface was 1.2%, 4.98%, and 4.87% lower than those of the aspherical, sphero-cylindrical, and ellipsoidal surfaces, respectively. The powers and edge thicknesses of toroidal surfaces with different diopters were compared in the second group. The minimum and maximum edge thicknesses were observed to be reduced by 8.97% and 6.05%, respectively, corresponding to the conic constants obtained via ray tracing. The conclusion will be significant for clinical ophthalmology and optical design for the patients with astigmatism.

Opis:
This study aimed to explore the impact of different landing methods on leg movement ability and the relationship between various parameters of leg movement. Methods: This work parameters including stride, contact time, flight time, duty factor, stride angle, vertical stiffness, leg stiffness and peak vertical ground reaction force. Thirty healthy subjects voluntarily participated in this study. In this experiment, each subject was required to perform two tests on a treadmill (using a speed of 10 km/h and 160 spm) (The interval between two experiments is 7 days). In the first test, subjects used RFS. In the second test, FFS was used. A high-speed video camera was used to collect the images and the Kwon3D motion analysis suite was used to process the images in this experiment. Results: The findings of this study revealed that runners employing the forefoot strike FFS method exhibited several favorable characteristics in contrast to those using the rearfoot strike RFS method. These included shorter contact time, longer flight time, reduced duty cycle, increased stride angle and heightened leg stiffness. Additionally, peak vertical ground reaction forces were significantly elevated in females. Conclusions: While rear foot strike RFS demonstrates a notable enhancement in leg stiffness among female runners with low leg stiffness, it concurrently leads to a significant increase in peak vertical ground reaction force and imposes a greater load on the legs. However, this phenomenon is not observed among male participants.

Opis:
To improve the reliability of motor system, this paper investigates the sensor fault diagnosis methods for T-type inverter-fed dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives. Generally, a T-type three-level inverter-fed dual three-phase motor drive utilizes four phase-current sensors, two direct current (DC)-link voltage sensors and one speed sensor. A series of diagnostic methods have been comprehensively proposed for the three types of sensor faults. Both the sudden error change and gradual error change of sensor faults are considered. Firstly, the diagnosis of speed sensor fault was achieved by monitoring the error between the rotating speed of stator flux and the value from speed sensor. Secondly, the large high-frequency voltage ripple of voltage difference between the estimated voltage and the reference voltage was used to identify the voltage sensor faults, and the faulty voltage sensor was determined according to the deviation of voltage difference. Thirdly, the abnormal current amplitude on harmonic subspace was adopted to identify the current sensor faults, and the faulty current sensor was located by distinguishing the current trajectory on harmonic subspace. The experiments have been taken on a laboratory prototype to verify the effectiveness of the proposed fault diagnosis schemes.

Opis:
The dynamic response and isolation performance of a Quasi-Zero-Stiffness (QZS) vibration isolator using inclined springs as negative stiffness correctors under random excitation are presented in this paper. The probabilistic linearization method is employed to determine the dynamic response of the QZS vibration isolator and compared with the exact solution based on the Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov (FPK) equation and the equivalent linearization method. Two performance indexes (Mean Square Relative Displacement (MSRD) and Mean Square Acceleration (MSA)) are considered to evaluate the isolation performance of the QZS vibration isolator under random excitation and compared with the equivalent linear vibration isolator. The results show that the MSRD of the QZS vibration isolator is always lower than the equivalent linear vibration isolator, while the MSA of the QZS vibration isolator can be larger or lower than the equivalent linear vibration isolator based on the values of damping ratio and spectral density of the random excitation

Opis:
Object tracking based on Siamese networks has achieved great success in recent years, but increasingly advanced trackers are also becoming cumbersome, which will severely limit deployment on resource-constrained devices. To solve the above problems, we designed a network with the same or higher tracking performance as other lightweight models based on the SiamFC lightweight tracking model. At the same time, for the problems that the SiamFC tracking network is poor in processing similar semantic information, deformation, illumination change, and scale change, we propose a global attention module and different scale training and testing strategies to solve them. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, this paper has done comparative experiments on the ILSVRC, OTB100, VOT2018 datasets. The experimental results show that the method proposed in this paper can significantly improve the performance of the benchmark algorithm.

Opis:
Taking real-time and effective preventive maintenance measures on in-service roads can reduce traffic congestion, eliminate potential road safety hazards, and greatly reduce road maintenance costs. Therefore, based on the Persson friction theory, this study first determines the evaluation indicators for the anti slip ability of asphalt pavement. And based on vehicle dynamics and contact friction between tires and road surface, the anti-skid thresholds of road surfaces for different road conditions and vehicle models are solved through simulation. This study utilizes Python and neural network algorithms to establish a decision-making model for anti-slip recovery technology of asphalt pavement. The experiment shows that the model trained by Back Propagation neural network has high accuracy. The training accuracy of the model is stable at around 0.90, and the training loss value is around 0.34, which can be used for decision-making in anti slip recovery technology. When the speed is less than 60 km/h, the increase in the threshold of dynamic friction coefficient is significant. The maximum difference in growth rate is 47.9%. When the speed exceeds 60 km/h, the increase in the threshold of dynamic friction coefficient gradually slows down. Therefore, at lower speeds, it is more essential to consider the variable value of the dynamic friction coefficient. When the speed is high, more consideration needs to be given to its reference value. This study provides a scientific basis for ensuring that the anti slip ability of the road surface always meets the requirements of driving safety, and has important engineering practical value, economic and social benefits.

Opis:
The steady state solutions of a nonlinear digital cellular neural network with ω neural units and a nonnegative variable parameter λ are sought. We show that λ = 1 is a critical value such that the qualitative behavior of our network changes. More specifically, when ω is odd, then for λ ∈ [0, 1), there is one positive and one negative steady state, and for λ ∈ [1, ∞), steady states cannot exist; while when ω is even, then for λ ∈ [0, 1), there is one positive and one negative steady state, and for λ = 1, there are no nontrivial steady states, and for λ ∈ (1, ∞), there are two fully oscillatory steady states. Furthermore, the number of existing nontrivial solutions cannot be improved. It is hoped that our results are of interest to digital neural network designers.

Opis:
The evaluation of system performance plays an increasingly important role in the reliability analysis of cyber-physical systems. Factors of external instability affect the evaluation results in complex systems. Taking the running gear in high-speed trains as an example, its complex operating environment is the most critical factor affecting the performance evaluation design. In order to optimize the evaluation while improving accuracy, this paper develops a performance evaluation method based on slow feature analysis and a hidden Markov model (SFA-HMM). The utilization of SFA can screen out the slowest features as HMM inputs, based on which a new HMM is established for performance evaluation of running gear systems. In addition to directly classical performance evaluation for running gear systems of high-speed trains, the slow feature statistic is proposed to detect the difference in the system state through test data, and then eliminate the error evaluation of the HMM in the stable state. In addition, indicator planning and status classification of the data are performed through historical information and expert knowledge. Finally, a case study of the running gear system in high-speed trains is discussed. After comparison, the result shows that the proposed method can enhance evaluation performance.
