Opis:
Fly ash is a complex system with a variety of fine particles. The complex relationship between unburned carbon and ash particles has an important influence on the efficiency of fly ash triboelectrostatic beneficiation. The particles adhered to the two electrode plates are collected through the triboelectrostatic beneficiation experiment. The scanning electron microscopy and X-ray fluorescence are used to detect the microscopic differences between the particles of positive and negative plates. The results show that the flaky carbon particles in the raw ash and the ash particles larger than 4µm are more easily separated, while it is converse for the ash particles with particle size less than 4µm. With the particle size less than 4µm, it is gradually more obvious for the influence of adhesion caused by the roughness surface of spherical unburned carbon particles, and the surface pores structure of porous carbon particles. The binding structure between unburned carbon and ash particles is complex and changeable. It is not beneficial to improve the separation efficiency. Therefore, the micro-structure and micro-morphology have an important effect on fly ash triboelectrostatic beneficiation. Some suggestions were proposed from the microscopic point to improve the efficiency of fly ash triboelectrostatic beneficiation.

Opis:
As sodium sulfide is easily oxidized to polysulfide and thiosulfate which have a gold leaching effect, gold would dissolve in leaching solution when extracting stibium from gold containing antimony concentrate by alkaline sulfide. Through leaching test and kinetics analysis, the decomposition regularity of sodium sulfide and leaching rate were studied under different leaching conditions. The results indicated that the gold content in antimony concentrate was 28.41g/Mg, and the content of antimony and sulfur was 36.01% and 14.04%, respectively. The main metallic minerals were native gold, arsenopyrite, stibnite, and the gangue minerals were mainly quartz. Anodic polarization curve shows reduced iron powder can increase the peak potential of the oxidation of the leaching solution and it can effectively prevent the decomposition of sodium sulfide and the dissolution of gold. Optimized stibium-extraction efficiency was achieved under the following conditions: a concentration of sodium sulfide and sodium hydroxide at 110g/dm³ and 20g/dm³, respectively; a ratio of iron powder to concentrate of 1:30; a ratio of liquid to solid of 5:1; agitation speed of 600rad/min; reaction temperature of 353.15K; and a reaction time of 3 h. Under the optimized conditions, high antimony recovery (97.35%) and low gold dissolution (1.32%) were achieved.

Opis:
Traditional magnesite desilication flotation collectors struggle to efficiently remove quartz from low-grade magnesite, prompting the exploration of new, highly selective flotation collectors. Addressing this need has become a focal point in mineral processing research. This study introduced heptadecylamine ethylimidazoline quaternary ammonium salt (ODD) as a quartz flotation collector for separating quartz from magnesite. Flotation experiments involving single minerals and artificially mixed minerals demonstrated that magnesite and quartz could be effectively separated under specific conditions: an ODD concentration of 40mg/L and pH=7.0. Zeta potential assessments revealed that the adsorption of ODD increased the potential of quartz by 4.4 times compared to magnesite. Furthermore, contact angle measurements illustrated that ODD selectively increased the hydrophobicity of the quartz surface while not affecting the contact angle of magnesite. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis indicated that ODD's selective adsorption at the quartz surface through interaction with the O sites on quartz rather than magnesite. Drawing from these findings, a flotation separation model from magnesite and quartz under the influence of ODD was formulated.
