Opis:
A method is proposed to predict the upper flammability limits for alkanes in air at increased pressures. The upper flammability limits for methane, ethane, propane and n-butane/air mixtures at ambient temperature and initial pressure of 0.3 MPa–2.0 MPa are identified through the adiabatic flame temperature calculation model. The association of calculated adiabatic flame temperature with pressure is presented to determine the upper flammability limit. Research shows the good agreement between the forecast upper flammability limits with pressure dependence and the experimental upper flammability limit values. The average relative error of the estimated upper flammability limits for alkanes in air at high pressures reaches 2.52%.

Opis:
Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry was used to detect and analyze phenolic compounds in the surface waters of four urban lakes in Xi’an – Hancheng Lake, Xingqing Lake, Nanhu Lake, and Taohuatan Lake. A total of 5 phenolic compounds were detected from the water samples, with a concentration range of ND-100.32 ng/L, of which bisphenol A (BPA) and nonyl phenol (NP) were the main types of phenolic compounds pollution in the four lakes. Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the concentration of phenolic compounds in the lake waters of Xi’an City and the water quality indicators COD, TP, NH3 -N, DO, and pH during the same period. It was found that there was a significant positive relationship between the concentration of BPA and COD, the concentration of estradiol (17-beta-E2), estrone (E1) and TP and TN, the concentration of octylphenol (4-t-OP) and pH. The ecological risk assessment (ERA) shows that the concentration of BPA, 4-t-OP and NP in the lakes is at a medium risk level( is between 0.1–1), and that of E1 is at a high risk level (is greater than 1). Female cells (breast cancer cells) and male germ cells (testis cells) of mice were used as research objects to explore BPA and NP Toxic effect on mouse germ cells. BPA and NP at a concentration of 10-8 mol/L were found to have the most value-inducing effect on MCF-7 breast cancer cells positive for estrogen receptor. Obviously, both BPA and NP can induce the proliferation of testicular Sertoli cells.

Opis:
Objectives The authors used the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) and general health questionnaire to analyze the factors influencing the mental health status and the workload of support nurses during the COVID-19 epidemic. Material and Methods The authors conducted a cross-sectional survey of 349 support nurses in April–October 2022. Using QuestionStar, a powerful online survey tool, the authors administered surveys to the participants, collected data on the mental health status and workload of support nurses, and analyzed the influencing factors based on the collected data. Results A total of 316 questionnaires were successfully collected, with an effective rate of 98.75%. The proportion of support nurses with mental health problems was 25% and the value of the NASA-TLX questionnaire was: M±SD 68.91±7.28 pts. Multi-factor analysis revealed that the number of children, family support, and nursing support location were the influencing factors of mental health status, while the multivariate analysis revealed that the presence of symptoms, nursing support location, support work type, and total 12-item General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12) score were the influencing factors of the workload of support nurses. Conclusions Compared to their counterparts in the plains, nurses working in isolated plateau regions who were caring for children and lacked family support, were more likely to have mental health issues. There was a positive correlation between the changes in GHQ-12 and NASA-TLX scores of the study participants. Compared to their counterparts in the plains and the tropical regions, nurses working in plateau regions had a heavier workload. As part of the follow-up measures to prevent and treat patients impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic, it is important to improve the mental health evaluation, consultation, and treatment of the support nurses to guarantee the high quality of the first-line support work.

Opis:
The aim of this study was to investigate the force characteristics of novice athletes and professional athletes in completing a cross spike at position four from the perspective of electromyographic characteristics. Methods: Ten novice and ten professional athletes were selected as subjects. The electromyographic characteristics of the athletes were obtained by the Noraxon Ultium electromyography (EMG) and compared. Results: In the first stage, i.e., the takeoff stage, the activation level of the rectus abdominis and external abdominal obliques was significantly higher in the professional group ( p < 0.05). During the second stage, i.e., the stage of flying to hit the ball, the professional group had a higher integrated electromyography (iEMG) value in the trapezius. Moreover, it showed significantly higher muscle contribution from the rectus abdominis (5.59 ± 1.58%), external abdominal obliques (3.67 ± 1.21%), and trapezius (10.12 ± 2.61%) compared to the novice group ( p < 0.05). In the third stage, i.e., the stage of landing and buffering, p < 0.05 in the comparison of the iEMG values of trapezius and gluteus maximus between the two groups. Moreover, the professional group exhibited higher muscle activation levels in all muscles except for the gastrocnemius, compared to the novice group ( p < 0.05). Conclusions: Professional athletes display superior muscle coordination and more effective muscle force generation in the trunk and lower limbs during the execution of the jump spike action.

Opis:
Sepsis is a severe infectious disease with high incidence and mortality rates worldwide. Early diagnosis of sepsis in newly admitted intensive care unit patients is crucial to reduce mortality and improve patient outcomes. The manual diagnostic methods heavily rely on subjective clinical experience, while traditional machine learning methods require time-consuming feature engineering and the performance is limited by the knowledge acquired from scarce datasets. Therefore, to address the aforementioned issues, this study proposes a novel textual representation method for clinical numerical data, leveraging pre-trained language models from the field of natural language processing for sepsis prediction. Specifically, this study innovatively transforms structured clinical numerical data of patients into unstructured textual descriptions. This transformation reframes sepsis prediction into a text classification task, leveraging the rich prior semantic knowledge embedded in pre-trained language models to enhance prediction performance. The proposed method is validated using real ICU clinical data. When employing RoBERTa-base, it achieved an F1 score of 79.03%, which represents an improvement of five percentage points compared with commonly used machine learning classifiers. The experiments confirmed that the proposed method enhances the performance of early sepsis diagnosis and introduces new insights for clinical diagnosis of sepsis.

Opis:
Ultrafine montmorillonite particles are the main clay minerals in industrial wastewater. In order to explore the flocculation performance and mechanism of flocculant with montmorillonite, the effects of nonionic polyacrylamide (NPAM) dosage and molecular weight on flocculation effect were studied using a flocculation sedimentation experiment. The morphology of flocs was observed by metallographic microscope and scanning electron microscope, and the microscopic adsorption mechanism was studied utilizing density functional theory (DFT). The results show that the best reagent system for the montmorillonite sample is that the molecular weight of NPAM is 14 million and the added amount is 100 g/t. The floc size increases with rising NPAM dosage, forming a unique multi-level compact space network structure through polymer bridging. The adsorption energy of acrylamide on the Na-(001) surface of montmorillonite is -108.81 kJ/mol, which is significantly higher than -50.66 kJ/mol on the None-(001) surface. Hydrogen bonding is not the main reason for the adsorption of acrylamide on the montmorillonite surface. NPAM mainly causes the flocculation and sedimentation of montmorillonite through the processes of polymer bridging and electrostatic attraction. This study can provide a theoretical basis for the design and synthesis of new flocculants.

Opis:
The model predictive current control (MPCC) of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is highly dependent on motor parameters, and a parameter mismatch will cause the system performance degradation. Therefore, a strategy based on an internal model control (IMC) observer is proposed to correct the mismatch parameters. Firstly, based on the MPCC strategy of the PMSM, according to the dynamic model of the PMSM in a rotating orthogonal coordinate system, -axis and -axis current IMC observers are designed, and the stability derivation is carried out. It is proved that the observer can estimate -axis and -axis disturbance components caused by a parameter mismatch without static error. Then, the estimated disturbance component is compensated for by the reference voltage prediction expression. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified in two different conditions. The experimental results show that the proposed control strategy can effectively compensate for the parameter mismatch disturbance in MPCC for PMSM, improve the dynamic and static performance of the system, and improve the robustness of the system. voltage prediction expression.
