Opis:
The identification of areas of collision risk in restricted waters could play an important role in VTS services. Based on the concept of ship domain, this paper introduces a model for identifying collision risk between vessels in restricted waters, then puts forward an improved DBSCAN clustering algorithm for identifying areas of high collision risk, finally, the visualization algorithm is presented. The experimental results in this paper show the algorithm is capable of identifying and rendering areas of collision risk in restricted waters.

Opis:
This paper investigates the problem of fault tolerant control of a class of uncertain switched nonlinear systems with time delay under asynchronous switching. The systems under consideration suffer from delayed switchings of the controller. First, a fault tolerant controller is proposed to guarantee exponentially stability of the switched systems with time delay. The dwell time approach is utilized for stability analysis and controller design. Then the proposed approach is extended to take into account switched time delay systems with Lipschitz nonlinearities and structured uncertainties. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Opis:
To reflect the safety degree of marine traffic in real-time and intuitively, this paper put forward a concept of real-time safety index of marine traffic, established marine traffic real-time safety index system, and constructed a real-time safety index evaluation model by using vessel traffic and navigation environmental data provided by shore-based AIS base station network, and quantifying a variety of data which impacts the safety of marine traffic such as ships’ real-time dynamic data, weather changes and so on. A continuous real-time evaluation to a specific area was carried out in the form of real-time index curve, taking the Waigaoqiao Channel of Port Shanghai as an example, to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of marine traffic real-time safety index.

Opis:
Radars and sensors are essential devices for an Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) to detect obstacles. Their precision has improved significantly in recent years with relatively accurate capability to locate obstacles. However, small detection errors in the estimation and prediction of trajectories of obstacles may cause serious problems in accuracy, thereby damaging the judgment of USV and affecting the effectiveness of collision avoidance. In this study, the effect of radar errors on the prediction accuracy of obstacle position is studied on the basis of the autoregressive prediction model. The cause of radar error is also analyzed. Subsequently, a bidirectional adaptive filtering algorithm based on polynomial fitting and particle swarm optimization is proposed to eliminate the observed errors in vertical and abscissa coordinates. Then, simulations of obstacle tracking and prediction are carried out, and the results show the validity of the algorithm. Finally, the method is used to simulate the collision avoidance of USV, and the results show the validity and reliability of the algorithm.

Opis:
With the wide use of AIS system in the world, especially in ports and the waters with heavy traffic, AIS message loss may be related to environmental conditions, obstacle, limitation of VHF technology and AIS network overload, thereby reducing the AIS signal successful reception rate. This paper selected typical AIS data received by Yagi and Omni antennas at the same time in specific waters, uses grid and AIS data recovery technology, establishes the AIS signal coverage model, analyzes signal reception rate of Yagi antenna and Omni antenna of AIS base station, and verified the superiority of Yagi antenna in AIS signal reception rate.

Opis:
To understand the underwater explosion (UNDEX) performance of RDX/AP-based aluminized explosives, six formulations of the explosives were prepared, with Al content varying from 30% to 55% and ammonium perchlorate (AP) content from 45% to 20%. A series of UNDEX tests that used a 1 kg cylindrical charge was conducted underwater at a depth of 4.7 m. The pressure histories of the shock wave produced at different positions and the bubble periods were measured. The coefficients of the similarity law equation for the shock wave parameters were fitted with experimental data. The effect of the aluminum/oxygen (Al/O) ratio on the performance of the energy output structure for RDX/AP-based aluminized explosives is discussed. The bubble motion during UNDEX was simulated using MSC.DYTRAN software, and the radius-time curves of the bubbles were determined. The results show that AP influences the detonation reaction mechanism of RDX/AP-based aluminized explosives, which causes different UNDEX performances. The bubble energy of the RDX/AP-based aluminized explosive was higher than that of RDX-based and HMX-based aluminized explosives.

Opis:
A Geant4-based Monte Carlo package named G4DS has been developed to simulate the response of DarkSide-50, an experiment operating since 2013 at LNGS, designed to detect WIMP interactions in liquid argon. In the process of WIMP searches, DarkSide-50 has achieved two fundamental milestones: the rejection of electron recoil background with a power of 10^{7} , using the pulse shape discrimination technique, and the measurement of the residual 39^{Ar} contamination in underground argon, 3 orders of magnitude lower with respect to atmospheric argon. These results rely on the accurate simulation of the detector response to the liquid argon scintillation, its ionization, and electron-ion recombination processes. This work provides a complete overview of the DarkSide Monte Carlo and of its performance, with a particular focus on PARIS, the custom-made liquid argon response model.
