Opis:
We investigate a single-photon quantum router in quantum fluctuation of fields. The optomechanical system composed of a cigar-shaped Bose-Einstein condensate trapped in an ultrahigh-finesse Fabry-Pérot cavity. We show how an analog of electromagnetically induced transparency in an optomechanical system can be used to produce a switch for a quantum fluctuation field using very low pumping field strength. The numerical results show that the output photon is completely different by turning the pump off and turning the pump on. We also show that the quantum noise sources are very small. This optomechanical system can serve as a single-photon quantum router.

Opis:
In this paper, the typical sand-conglomerate uranium ore in north China was taken as the research object. The uniaxial compression and tensile tests of sand-conglomerate specimens under natural status and acidic solution status were used to research the compressive strength, tensile strength, Young’s modulus, cohesion and internal friction angle. Focusing on this type of uranium deposit, during the underground design of the in-situ leaching mining method, the three-dimensional finite element method was used to conduct a numerical simulation of the liquid collecting tunnel with different structural parameters of 10 m×2 m, 3 m×2 m, 2 m×2 m, and comprehensively analyse the vertical displacement, principal stress and plastic deformation zone changes of the tunnelbefore and after leaching. Based on the results, influenced by an acidic aqueous solution, the grain of the conglomerate became soft and secondary pores appeared, resulting in the superimposed effect of physical damage and chemical damage. Macroscopically, an obvious decrease was witnessed in mechanical property. Based on the stability and economy factor of three scenarios before and after leaching, the scenario was recommended as the experimental testing scenario, specifically, two longitudinal collecting tunnel were arranged along the strike of the orebody, with the size of 3 m×2 m and the width of the middle pillar of 4 m. The results of the numerical simulation are significant in guiding the design of underground in-situ leaching technology and determining the structural parameters of the deposit.

Opis:
Looseness of high-strength wind turbine bolts is one of the main types of mechanical failure that threaten the quality and safety of wind turbines, and how to non-destructively detect bolt loosening is essential to accurate assessment of operational reliability of wind turbine structures. Therefore, to address the issue of looseness detection of high-strength wind turbine bolts, this paper proposes a non-destructive detection method based on digital image correlation (DIC). Firstly, the mathematical relationships between the in-plane displacement component of the bolt’s nut surface, the bolt’s preload force loss and the bolt loosening angle are both deduced theoretically. Then, experimental measurements are respectively conducted with DIC with different small bolt loosening angles. The results show that the bolt loosening angle detection method based on DIC has a detection accuracy of over 95%, and the bolt’s preload force loss evaluated by the deduced relationship has a good agreement with the empirical value. Therefore, the proposed DIC-based bolt loosening angle detection method can meet the requirements of engineering inspection, and can achieve quantitative assessment of preload forces loss of wind turbine bolt.

Opis:
With the rapid development of the wind energy industry, there is an increasing concern about operation safety and reliability of high-strength wind turbine bolts. The aim of this paper is to monitor the strain change around the cracks in wind turbine bolts by means of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors for crack detection. Firstly, the strain distributions of wind turbine bolts’ cracks with different locations and angles in the service condition are simulated using finite element analysis (FEA). Then, three-point grating string FBG sensors were pasted on the surface of wind turbine bolts with fatigue cracks to monitor the strain changes around the cracks in real time. By analysing the monitored strain data elaborately, the location of the crack on the bolt surface was successfully detected by identifying the location of the maximum strain detected by FBG sensors. In addition, the strain distributions in the vicinity area of the crack at different angles (0◦, 45◦and 90◦) were also monitored and analysed in depth. The different types of crack angles could be distinguished based on of different strain distribution of the vicinity of the crack tip at different angles. The experimental results show that the FBG sensing technology has a high degree of sensitivity and accuracy in crack detection of high-strength wind turbine bolts.

Opis:
Diosgenin is a steroidal sapogenin compound, and possesses multiple biological activities including anti-inflammatory, anticancer, immunological regulation, and anti-aging. The current study focused on its anti-inflammatory activities and cytotoxicity by analysis of NO production, phagocytosis activity, secretion of TNF-α and IL-6 and cell viability in LPS-induced RAW 264.7 cells. An IC50 value of diosgenin of 2.8 μM was calculated for diosgenin by regression of cell viability from concentrations ranging from 0.01 to 25 μM; this indicated that 0.01, 0.02, 0.04 μM diosgenin could reduce phagocytic activity very significantly (p<0.01) in a dose-dependent manner with no cytotoxic effect on the LPS-induced RAW 264.7 cells. However, there was no significant effect on NO content and secretion of TNF-α and IL-6 after diosgenin treatment. The research revealed that low concentrations diosgenin can directly inhibit cells phagocytosis, with no effect on the release of inflammatory mediators and cytokines. This lays a foundation for screening for a safe dose in research and developent of derivatives and new formulation of diosgenin for its anti-inflammatory effect.

Microstructure and electrical properties of hydrogenated nanocrystalline silicon (nc-Si:H) film deposited on glass substrate at low temperature were characterized by average grain size, crystallinity, and dark electrical conductivity data obtained from the Raman and electrical conductivity spectroscopy, respectively. The average grain size, crystallinity and electrical conductivity have a similar change with substrate temperature. A threshold substrate temperature determined by silane concentration appears in their corresponding spectroscopy vs. substrate temperature. The dependence of crystallinity, average grain size and electrical conductivity on substrate temperature were accounted for by surface diffusion model and heterojunction quantum dot model, respectively.

Opis:
Insulin resistance (IR) plays a critical role in metabolic syndrome (MS). Previous studies have demonstrated that activated ROCK is increased in MS patients. However, the effect of Rho-kinase (ROCK) on IR has not been definitely determined. Thus, the aims of the present study were to determine whether ROCK activation induces IR or affects myocardial structure and function, as well as the possible mechanisms underlying this process. Wistar rats fed high fat, high glucose and high salt diet sewed as model of MS and we used transmission electron microscopy, echocardiogram technology, and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated DNA nick-end labeling staining to identify any myocardial damage. The protein levels of MYPT-1 (characteristic of ROCK activation), IRS-1 and AKT were analyzed by immunohistochemistry and Western blotting. In hearts from MS rats, we found increased protein levels of phospho-MYPT-1 and phospho-IRS-1 (Ser307) and decreased phospho-AKT compared to levels in normal rats. In conclusion, the results suggest that ROCK-mediated IR is involved in the development of myocardial impairments in MS rats and that this effect is mediated probably via the IRS-1/PI3-kinase/AKT pathway.
