Opis:: This paper describes the implementation of fuzzy set theory and Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) for prediction of electric load. The proposed technique utilizes fuzzy rules to incorporate historical weather and load data. The use of fuzzy logic effectively handles the load variations due to special events. The fuzzy logic has been extensively tested on actual data obtained from the Czech Electric Power Company (ˇCEZ) for 24-hour ahead prediction. Test results indicate that the fuzzy rule base can produce results better in accuracy than artificial neural networks (ANNs) method.

Opis:: Celem pracy jest ocena trwałości technicznej układu. W ocenie statystycznej technicznej trwałości resztkowej, wykorzystywane są duże ilości danych tribo-diagnostycznych. Dane te służą jako początkowe źródło informacji. Dostarczają informacji nt. cząsteczek zawartych w oleju, które świadczą o jego bieżącym stanie, jak również o stanie całego układu. Szczególny nacisk położono na cząsteczki, które uznano za godne uwagi i wartościowe. Tego rodzaju informacje mają duży potencjał techniczny i analityczny, który nie został jeszcze wystarczająco zbadany. Modelując występowanie cząsteczek w oleju, spodziewamy się określić najlepszy czas na przeprowadzenie konserwacji zapobiegawczej. Sposób modelowania i dalszej oceny oparto o konkretne charakterystyki analizy regresji, logiki rozmytej i procesów dyfuzyjnych-tj.proces Wienera. Śledząc wyniki modelowania możliwe będzie ustalenie reguł utrzymania urządzeń zależnie od ich bieżącego stanu technicznego (condition-based maintenance, CBM). Możliwości są jednak dużo większe, pozwalając także na planowanie eksploatacji rutynowej i zadań. Wszystkie powyższe kroki prowadzą do oszczędności.
The aim of the paper is to estimate a system technical life. When estimating a residual technical life statistically, a big amount of tribo-diagnostic data is used. This data serves as the initial source of information. It includes the information about particles contained in oil which testify to oil condition as well as system condition. We focus on the particles which we consider to be interesting and valuable. This kind of information has good technical and analytical potential which has not been explored well yet. By modelling the occurrence of particles in oil we expect to find out when a more appropriate moment for performing preventive maintenance might come. The way of modelling and further estimation is based on the specific characteristics of a regression analysis, fuzzy logic and diffusion processes – namely the Wiener process. Following the modelling results we could, in fact, set the principles of “CBM – Condition Based Maintenance”. However, the possibilities are much wider, since we can also plan in service operation and mission. All these steps result in inevitable cost saving which we would like to contribute to.

Opis:: Nowadays the system requirements are set up and evaluated in various manners. We have plenty of excellent options available taking about an item technical state. We can also consider other states by many diagnostic options. The paper deals with the mathematical processing, monitoring and analysis of the oil field data got as a result from the laser spectrography in frame of the tribodiagnostic oil tests. The mathematical methods based on time series and their analysis and calculation processed by suitable method are used in the paper for oil data analysis. Due to the fact that the data sample is classified as fuzzy and uncertain from many reasons the FIS (Fuzzy Inference System) is used.
Obecnie wymagania systemu mogą być ustalane i oceniane w różny sposób. Mamy do dyspozycji wiele doskonałych opcji oceny stanu technicznego obiektów. Istnieje również wiele możliwości diagnozowania innych stanów. W artykule przedstawiono proces matematycznego przetwarzania, monitorowania i analizy danych eksploatacyjnych dotyczących oleju uzyskanych na podstawie spektrografii laserowej przeprowadzonej w ramach diagnostyki tribologicznej. Do analizy danych wykorzystano metody matematyczne oparte na szeregach czasowych oraz odpowiednie metody analizy i obliczania szeregów czasowych. Ponieważ dostępne dane sklasyfikowano jako rozmyte i niepewne, zastosowano System Wnioskowania Rozmytego FIS.

Opis:: The paper is to apply regression analysis methods with confidence intervals in order to analyse field data with the aim of finding the dependence of Fe particles occurrence on operating time. When comparing the results of the method/approach the authors believe that they can estimate the real operating profile of observed technical systems as well as its operating history. The results might be used for optimizing during an operation and maintenance phase.
W artykule wykorzystano metodę analizy regresji w określonych przedziałach ufności do badania systemów uzbrojenia eksploatowanych w warunkach polowych. Metoda ta posłużyła do przeanalizowania zależności występowania cząsteczek żelaza od czasu eksploatacji badanych systemów. Analiza porównawcza otrzymanych rezultatów wskazuje, że wykorzystana metoda daje możliwość oszacowania realnego trybu i czasu pracy badanych systemów. Otrzymane wyniki mogą być wykorzystanie do optymalizacji faz użytkowania i utrzymania rozpatrywanych systemów uzbrojenia.

Opis:: Time series of weekly and daily solutions for coordinates of permanent GNSS stations may indicate local deformations in Earth’s crust or local seasonal changes in the atmosphere and hydrosphere. The errors of the determined changes are relatively large, frequently at the level of the signal. Satellite radar interferometry and especially Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) is a method of a very high accuracy. Its weakness is a relative nature of measurements as well as accumulation of errors which may occur in the case of PSI processing of large areas. It is thus beneficial to confront the results of PSI measurements with those from other techniques, such as GNSS and precise levelling. PSI and GNSS results were jointly processed recreating the history of surface deformation of the area of Warsaw metropolitan with the use of radar images from Envisat and Cosmo-SkyMed satellites. GNSS data from Borowa Gora and Jozefoslaw observatories as well as from WAT1 and CBKA permanent GNSS stations were used to validate the obtained results. Observations from 2000–2015 were processed with the Bernese v.5.0 software. Relative height changes between the GNSS stations were determined from GNSS data and relative height changes between the persistent scatterers located on the objects with GNSS stations were determined from the interferometric results. The consistency of results of the two methods was 3 to 4 times better than the theoretical accuracy of each. The joint use of both methods allows to extract a very small height change below the level of measurement error.

Opis:: The formation of titanium nitride precipitations during solidification of steel was modeled with own computer software based on Ueshima model. A thermodynamic parameters database was worked out on the basis of literature study. Calculations were performed for two types of steel; one of them was high in titanium. The quantity of produced titanium nitrogen inclusions was calculated. The authors analyzed changes in nitrogen, titanium and oxygen content in the course of segregation of steel components on the solidification front. The influence of solidification rate on the process of precipitation formation was analyzed.
Praca zajmuje się modelowaniem powstawania wydzieleń azotku tytanu w stali podczas krzepnięcia. Zastosowano procedurę obliczeniową z wykorzystaniem modelu Ueshima przy pomocy własnego programu komputerowego. Na podstawie studiów literaturowych przygotowano bazę danych parametrów termodynamicznych. Obliczenia wykonano dla dwóch gatunków stali, z których jeden charakteryzował się wysoką zawartością tytanu. Obliczono ilość powstających wydzieleń azotku tytanu, przeanalizowano zmiany zawartości azotu, tytanu i tlenu w wyniku procesów segregacji składników w stali na froncie krzepnięcia. Zbadano wpływ szybkości krzepniącia na proces powstawania wydzieleń.

Opis:: During the casting of aluminium alloys, the susceptibility to form oxide films is high, due to the turbulent flow of the melt and constant exposure of new surface area. This have impact on the properties of the material and the service life of the casting components. Also, hydrogen solubility in the solid state are very low, which ends up being rejected and causing porosity. After pouring, when solidification occurs, another phenomenon arise called shrinkage. This require excess molten metal to be fed during this phase change to eliminate or reduce the effect of volumetric changes. Filling and feeding during aluminium casting is therefore of paramount importance, and careful steps needs to be undertaken to reduce possible defects in the castings. The objective is to apply studied literature guides and rules and simulate the casting process of aluminium alloys, and understand the how certain defects are occurring during this process. This is a preliminary study towards the understanding of the “macro evolution” of Al-Si-Cu alloy during solidification, which will be the bases for the study of microsegregation of the specified alloy.

Opis:: Rank Controlled Differential Quadrature (RCDQ) is an innovative method for numerical approximation of problems described by Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). In this paper the authors apply the RCDQ for the numerical simulation of a simplified model for dendrite growth during Al-Ti alloy crystallization. The authors put most concern on building an accurate numerical model for this phenomenon. In the simplified model the symmetry and flux on boundary condition appears. Additionally, dendrite tip growth into adjacent liquid change the computation domain size, what indicates a need for node coordinate recalculation during each new time step. The authors analyze the results of numerical modelling of alloying element concentration and dendrite growth rate. The modelling results shows that the RCDQ method can be used for modelling problems with moving grid and that the method approximation proposed by the authors is proper.
Metoda kwadratur różniczkowych sterowanego rzędu (KRSR) jest innowacyjną metodą numeryczną, która znajduje zastosowanie podczas rozwiązywania równań różniczkowych cząstkowych (RRCz). Autorzy stosują metodę KRSR do numerycznej symulacji wzrostu dendrytu podczas krystalizacji stopu dwuskładnikowego Al-Ti. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na budowę dokładnego modelu numerycznego opisującego analizowane zjawisko. W modelu matematycznym pojawia się warunek brzegowy symetrii oraz warunek opisujący strumień masy na brzegu dziedziny. Wierzchołek dendrytu rośnie w kierunku otaczającej cieczy. Skutkuje to zmianą rozmiaru dziedziny obliczeniowej. Po realizacji obliczeń w każdym kroku czasowym współrzędne punktów dyskretnych muszą być wyznaczane ponownie. Wyniki modelowania pozwalają na stwierdzenie, iż metoda KRSR może być stosowana do rozwiązywania problemów z ruchomą siatką dyskretną, a metoda aproksymacji poszczególnych pochodnych w RRCz, zaproponowana przez autorów, prowadzi do rozwiązań wysokiej dokładności.

Opis:: The removal of non-metallic inclusions from liquid steel is a result of co-operation of fluctuation, adhesion and agglomeration effects, with emphasis on agglomeration which plays the most important role. It is based on a few types of collisions between non-metallic particles, where turbulent collisions are most prominent. As a result of agglomeration, nonmetallic inclusions are intensely removed through flotation and increase of different dimensions of inclusions, which manifests itself with the occurrence of clusters mainly composed of Al₂O₃ precipitations. Authors investigated the agglomeration effect by making computer simulations with the use of the PSG method. The calculations were performed for a definite population of spherical particles of radius r in the steel volume. The applied calculation method allows for analyzing the dynamics of the collision process. The assumed initial number of particles remains constant, only the number of particles in specific size-groups varies. It was also revealed that the process of agglomerates formation is much faster for particles having a bigger initial radius. In the case of very small precipitations (r=1 μm) their removal through agglomeration is very difficult because the probability those collisions can take place between them rapidly decreases.

Opis:: The process of steel solidification in the CCS mould is accompanied by a number of phenomena relating to the formation of non-metallic phase, as well as the mechanism of its interaction with the existing precipitations and the advancing crystallization front. In the solidification process the non-metallic inclusions may be absorbed or repelled by the moving front. As a result a specific distribution of non-metallic inclusions is obtained in the solidified ingot, and their distribution is a consequence of these processes. The interaction of a non-metallic inclusion with the solidification front was analyzed for alumina, for different values of the particle radius. The simulation was performed with the use of own computer program. Each time a balance of forces acting on a particle in its specific position was calculated. On this basis the change of position of alumina particle in relation to the front was defined for a specific radius and original location of the particle with respect to the front.
