Opis:
Sacrifices were the principal act in Israel's cult. The article treats about expiatory sacrifices in ancient lsrael. The purpose ofthese sacrifices is to re-establish the covenant with God. Autbor describes the circumstances when expiatory sacrifices should be offered and then explains difference between the sacrifice for sin (hattath) and the sacrifice of reparation (asham). He also gives the scheme of the ritual of expiatory sacrifices. Theological meaning o f these sacrifices is shortly presented in the conclusion.

Opis:
A nitrogen-rich, polynitro energetic compound with an N,N-azo linkage, 1,1’-azobis(3,5-dinitropyrazole) (ABDNP), has been synthesized by an oxidative coupling reaction of 1-amino-3,5-dinitropyrazole with different oxidizing agents. The target compound was characterized by IR spectroscopy, 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, elemental analysis, mass spectra, X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The DSC results show that 1,1’-azobis(3,5-dinitropyrazole) decomposes at a relatively high onset temperature (202.9 °C), which indicates that 1,1’-azobis(3,5-dinitropyrazole) has acceptable thermal stability. The energetic properties were obtained, with a measured density and heat of formation matched by theoretically computed values based on the B3LYP method.

Opis:
The synthesis and properties of some 5-amino-3-[(2,4,6-trinitrophenyl) amino]-1H-1,2,4-triazole (APATO) cationic salts are described. A detailed structure of one of the salts obtained, 5-amino-3-[(2,4,6-trinitrophenyl)amino]-1H-1,2,4-triazol-4-ium perchlorate (APATO·HClO4) was characterized using low temperature (173 K) single crystal X-ray diffraction: orthorhombic yellow block, space group ‘Pbc21’, crystal density at 173 K (calculated) and at 293 K (pycnom.) were 1.863 and 1.840 g/cm3, respectively. The APATO salts were characterized by spectroscopic methods and thermal analysis. Preliminary computer calculated energetic characteristics showed that the synthesized salts possess increased energetic characteristics, superior in comparison to the TNT. The APATO perchlorate salt may deserve special attention as a thermostable HEDM.

Opis:
The main subject of the article is the thematic and morphological-syntactic analysis of the pericope Luke 2:25-35, which is part of the story about the presentation of Jesus in the temple (Lk 2:21-40). The text of Luke 2:25-25 is set in the context of two parallel childhood stories of Jesus and John (Luke 1-2). The study consists of two parts. The first is the presentation of the context of Luke 2:25-35 in relation to the description of Luke 2:21-24. The second stage is an analysis of Luke 2:25-35 in relation to the theology of Luke. The analysis of the text of Luke 2:25-35 shows the literary and theological relationship of Luke 1-2 with other texts of Luke-Acts.

Opis:
The article focuses on the issue of Jesus as the master educator of his disciples in Mark 1:35-39. The study provided is based on the principles of narrative and contextual analysis. The article consists of three parts: (1) Analysis of Mark 1:35-39; (2) Mk 1:35-39 in the context of 1:14-20; (3) Jesus master educator in 1:35-39 in the context of the Gospel of Mark. The pericope shows a certain tension between what Jesus must accomplish in terms of his mission given by the Father and what his disciples expect from him. The attitude of Simon and his companions (Andrew, Jacob and John) is expressed in Peter’s actions (“pursued him [Jesus]”) and in the apostles’ common words: ““Everyone is looking for you” (1:37). He shows that they have not yet reached the ideal personality as proposed by Jesus, which should be expressed in the attitude of repentance and faith (cf. 1:15). Their attempt to limit Jesus’ mission to Capernaum shows also that they are not yet ready to meet the goal of their vocation i.e. become fishers of men. In such context, through his command “Let us go somewhere  else to the towns nearby, so that I may preach there also; for that is what I came for” (1:38), Jesus corrects their attitude and invites them to strengthen their bond with him in the perspective of a universal mission. In this way Jesus reveals himself as an educator, who encourages his disciples by his own example and his own words (encouragement, commands, reproaches, prohibitions and questions) to absolute clinging to him.
